23 - Two Weeks?

After a brief talk with the pair outside the un-usual inn, Coldin entered with a new found curiosity towards it.

The first room could be described as a tavern, it had tables spread around with few a few people sat eating meals or drinking quietly. They all had two things in common, they were all spirit masters and they were all adults, so noticing Coldin walk in they where just as curious as he was.

Coldin found out that this inn was called Drifting Mist Inn and had some unique traits.

The girl and the woman who Coldin first met both went behind a counter and the woman spoke "Do child what brings you here?" Her voice was soft and cool making it seem regal.

"I'm on a journey at the moment and needed somewhere to rest. I'm I able to get a room and a meal?"

With a raised eyebrow the woman replied "an eight year old on a journey, that's new. Sure you can have a room and a meal but first I need to let you know that the hotel will be moving tonight to Clear View Village. Do you still want a room?"

'The hotel will be moving?' Coldin thought as he tried to understand what she meant but ended up giving up, Clear View Village was actually closer to the port town he was heading to so he had nothing to loose.

"Yes please. Can I ask what you mean by moving the hotel?" At first he tried to fight his curiosity but couldn't help but ask.

A smirk appeared on the girls face who was stood next to the woman. This happened a lot and she loved watching how stupefied the customers would become after hearing the answer.

"Well my spirit is a unique one, its been termed as an astral spirt meaning that it has deep connections with space manipulation. As for how it will move, simple really I'll teleport it with one of my spirit rings, the only down side is that I can only do this once every three months."

Both the woman and girl looked at Coldin thinking that his jaw would have hit the ground by now and the same could be said for the rest of the customers at the different tables.

However Coldin showed no reaction and only replied with "so every three months you can travel roughly 10,000 miles? Seems like a waste of an ability if you just used that for moving the inn"

Everyone stopped breathing, this child said that moving 10,000 miles instantly was a waste?

The girl couldn't take it and snapped at Coldin "do you even know how far that is! It would take a person around three months to even make that distance by walking and that's not taking into account stopping for rest!"

"I'm aware it just feels like a waste of an ability but maybe that's just me" Coldin said remaining calm.

The woman felt that something wasn't right and quickly asked him "well how long would it take you to get there?"

Turning to look at her, Coldin pondered for a moment. The people in the room watched waiting for him to make a fool of him self.

"At top speed, without rest.... I'd say around two weeks."

This left everyone stunned even the owner. It had to be know that you could easily travel this distance on train or in car but what the inn offered was lower prices and unique views during the travel.

Noticing no one moving Coldin paid for a room and went off to find it leaving the others in shock.
