30 - setting out again

The plan of moving the inn worked well as it increased the customers which made the owner happy, she even gave all the staff a bonus which left Lee paranoid as it has never happened before.

Roaming from town to town gave the guests unique views as well as every town a shock. A 13 meter human with an inn on its back.....yeah that's enough to raise a few eyebrows.

Got the first week or so everything was going well but come the second week there was fewer customers so they decided that the nest town they came too Min would go out and advertise while the rest gave the inn a quick clean to make sure it was presentable.

In this time Coldin also got a chance to rest, you see Coldin was on the move none stop which he can't say he hated.

While on the move Coldin made sure to make the most of it by using his new ability to refine metals. He figured why not have it in use all the time, especially if he's on the move.

At the end of the first week he had a few lumps of metal that he took to Lee for inspection due to him knowing the most about material.

Turned out that the metal was all thousand refined which was the limit of what a blacksmith could do without having enough spirit power. The next step would be spirit refined which would normally require the blacksmith to infuse spirit power to the metal as he refined it.

After getting a rough explanation from Lee, Coldin now had a new idea, first he tried to send spirit power into the metal as he refined it but due to the metal merging with his body this didn't work. Thinking about it it made sense, this Ability came from a white spirit ring after all so maybe if the age was upgraded it could spirit refine?

Thinking about this Coldin was reminded of the spirit ascension platform, he'd heard about it from Long Yue and Chloe who later asked En Ci if Coldin could come with them the next time they went but he said no. He explained that while he could let Coldin stay in the academy it was because he ran it but for the spirit ascension platform that was a different matter, the academy only got a set number of spots per year and if he gave Coldin one he'd be criticised by the other students.

Quickly moving the matter of the spirit ascension platform to later Coldin also tested something else he thought of. He'd heard from Uncle Lee that some blacksmiths used their spirits element to help spirit refine and after hearing this he came up with the idea of infusing the metal with his second spirit rings grey electricity.

Running a quick test Coldin found that this worked albeit at a much slower rate than all his other refining which made sense as it was the next big jump in metal refining.

For the following week Coldin refined some metal with different refinement ranks all the while using his second ring to infuse the metals with the electricity. He quickly noticed that this didn't take too much spirit power as the grey electricity formed without him using spirit power, the only thing that it took was concentration making sure the electricity was focused on the metal.

Slowly as the days passed the metal had all grown lighter when ever Coldin brought them out to check progress. The thousand refined even started to gain a grey streaking pattern which others would confuse with impurity's but Coldin knew his electricity had reformed the metal so it made sense that it gained a pattern in the process.

Another week later it was finally time for the owner to use her teleport again but first it was time for Coldin to decide if he wanted to continue working there.

In the end they came up with a compromise which was that the inn would travel with Coldin on his journey, which when Coldin heard shocked him but after the owner and the rest confirmed that their home was the inn and that it would be a lot more interesting for them to journey with them.

Coldin couldn't help smile, it looked like he gained a new family.
