11 - Monsters will be Monsters

Coldin opened his eyes to see En Ci sat in front of him. Smirking "gramps were you worried about me?"

You see Coldin had been planning this trip to the lake for the past year upon feeling he was close to breaking through. Everyone was concerned about wether he'd be safe or not but no matter how much planing he did En Ci always nagged that if he got into trouble he wouldn't save him.

But now. He was sat in front of him with a protective dome around them both.

En Ci's eyebrow twitched showing to Coldin that his comment had struck an nerve "you cheeky brat, what do you expect me to do after you pull a stunt like that. Who asked you to piss off one of the three lake protectors especially that one"

Laughing Coldin replied with "yeah fair enough. So we having a picnic down here or are we going top side?"

"Seriously brat, slow down. You don't need to push yourself this hard" En Ci said in a deadly serious tone.

Turning around to look into En Ci's eyes Coldin replied in an equally serious tone "you know that I can't do that gramps"

Sighing En Ci gave up on advising this brat "monsters will be monsters I suppose. At least you'll fit in when you get there." The both of them smiled and began to speed off through the water.

"Little Big brother!" Came a shout from within the training area. A girl could be seen running towards a giant of a human being. She had pale pink hair that flowed in the wind catching the attention of the male students who where also in the training area.

The girl soon arrived at her destination. She stood in front of her grandfather and her little big brother as she liked to call him. He was younger than her hence the little but she felt embarrassed to call a 3m tall giant little brother hence little big brother.

A stunning smile appeared on her face . The males on the training field that managed to catch a glimps wore angered expressions all sharing the though -how dare this freak take the lily goddess-

"Hey Chloe how's training going with big brother?" Coldin said with a calm smile on his face.

Chloe felt that Coldin was hiding something so she turned to her grandfather and said "he's done it again hasn't he?"

A smirk appeared on En Ci's face "oh you have no idea." This had become normal with the small group that interacted with Coldin. Coldin had a tendency to do something they could only coin as impossible leaving them shocked to their core. Jumping in Coldin said "let's just say I went for a swim"

Chloe's eyes rounded and for a moment the smile on her face disappeared only to be replaced by an even brighter one "congratulations brother"

Suddenly a booming sound came from the other sided of the training field. "How long has he been at it?" Coldin asked to Chloe his normal calm smile vanishing.

"Three hours now" replied Chloe as their group of three began to make their way across the training field.

Upon reaching the other side, they saw a mound of earth and in front was a boy of roughly thirteen years of age.

The body was panting heavily with his fists bared. The next second he moved, his body moved slowly but the weight behind his movement was astonishing.

BOOM. A fist landed against the earth mound and chunks of soil and rocks sprayed everywhere.

"I see he can at least stay calm enough to keep his technique." Said En Ci. The child who had thrown this punch was his disciple and while he was powerful his spirit made him enter an enraged state much more easily.

Coldin strolled forward separating from the others heading straight to the mound of earth. Standing roughly a meter way Coldin entered a horse stance. His upper arm in line with his body while his lower was parallel to the ground with his hand making a fist.

Breathing in deeply through his nose, Coldin calmed his mind.

And then "ORRRAAA!!!" Coldins cry reverberated through the air making heads turn. What followed was a booming noise and a soil and rock rain.

This snapped the boy out of his eyes wide. Coldins shout had snapped him out of his deeply concentrated state. Turing to look beside him he saw Coldin. Smirking he reset his stance and not even a second later "OOOORRRAAAA!!!"

Chloe facepalmed -these idiots- this was a something that happened way to often. It was to the point where they had gained the nicknames of Titanic Madman and Draconic Madman respectively.

En Ci just smiled. The reason he had his disciple train with Chloe was to allow Chloe to practice using her spirit rings which all had effects of calming the mind. This helped his disciple as it allowed for a better focus when training and didn't run the risk of him entering an enraged state.

What astonished him was that when his disciple and Coldin trained together they both became highly competitive but both shared good sportsmanship as well as his disciple having never been in his enraged state. A single sentence coming to mind seeing the two train together. 'Monsters will be monsters'
