Chapter 48 — Third Spirit Rings

Yu Long sat up from the wooden bed while feeling his body brimming with energy. He looked toward the large window next to him and recalled what happened at Xiao Yi's celebration party.

He was now abit poor again after spending dozens of gold coins after borrowing the plaza, hiring the people, the decorations, and buying the expensive crystal.

Although his friends helped him out by giving Yu Long some gold coins, he still suffered greatly.

Still, he didn't have any regret spending all that money for Xiao Yi.

The crystal sculpture had also stayed at the plaza with Xiao Yi's wanting to let everyone know about Yu Long's sculpting skills.

Yu Long felt sorrowful after hearing her wish, but then agreed in the end.

After the large crystal statue was placed in the middle of the plaza, it became a popular place to hang out for the people inside the city and the place was growing more popular as time passed.

Yu Long went downstairs to meet with the others.

"Since the four of you halted your advancement for some time now, It's time to get your 3rd spirit ring," Lou Shi said.

"Finally!" Fang Lin grinned excitedly.

Xiao Yi and the two sisters were also happy after hearing what Lou Shi said.

The four of them had already advanced toward the rank 30 a few days ago, but Lou Shi insisted to hold their spirit ring acquirement.

Lou Shi explained toward them that by halting their advancement for few days, their spirit power to get more condensed and will get pure.

They will also skipped a few stages because of their suppressed energy.

"Yu Long, accompany them toward the Star Dou Forest to get their own spirit rings!" Lou Shi said. "Consider this as part of your training."

The Five nodded after hearing Lou Shi explanation.

Lou Shi looked toward Yu Long with a sharp eye.

She know Yu Long was extremely strong enough to protect his friends.

"Hubby, once they leave, let's do some intense exercise later, okay?" Lou Shi whispered softly to Lou Yue's ear.

Lou Shi gulped down his dry saliva and nodded his head unconsciously.

"Great," Lou Shi chuckled while winking toward Lou Yue.

Her hips slightly went up and down to Lou Yue's eyes as she went toward the shower room to prepare herself.

The humongous Star Dou Forest was divided into four areas.

The outer area was filled with weak spirit beast that ranged from White Spirit Rings and Yellow Spirit Rings. The spirit hall also protected the outer area.

The inner area was a place filled with stronger spirit beast that ranged from Purple Spirit Rings and Yellow Spirit Rings.

The center area was filled with many dangerous beast and Titled Douluo will even find it hard to roamed the around.

The last area was a special area that held different regions and were also known as the forbidden zones.

Yu Long and his friends went toward the inner area of the Star Dou Forest to find a suitable spirit beast for them.

They decided to first find a suitable spirit ring for Xiao Yi's third spirit ring.

Yu Long trusted the two sisters so he told them about his special method that forcefully allow them to absorb a spirit ring that goes was difficult to absorb, but a limit still exist.

The two sisters were shocked upon hearing about this method.

Yu Long blocked the four from walking forward with his right arm. His enhanced eyes and sixth sense were able to locate a formidable spirit beast ahead them.

It was an large ape with a brown scaled-armor covering it's whole body. It looked like a 1,534 years old spirit beast.

Although it was only a 1,500+ years old spirit beast, it could fight against a normal 1,900+ years old spirit beast since it had a strong bloodline.

Yu Long summoned his second spirit and Mini Luna immediately used her second spirit ring.

Yu Long held the long, black spear and took a throwing stance.

A dazzling light converged on the spear as his three star energy poured toward it.

The spear exited Yu Long's arm and fiercely shoot through the ape, leaving a massive whirlwind in it's path.

The spear pierced through the ape's hard abdomen which was covered in thick, scaled-armor, without any kind of resistance.

Yu Long physical body was too overwhelming strong.

<2nd Spirit Ring: Star Dragon Fang>

The snake inside Xiao Yi's sea of consciousness, activated her 1st Spirit Ring and 2nd Spirit Ring.

She instantly appeared infront of the ape with her crimson spear shining heavily.

Swishhh!

A faint shadow of a crimson dragon materialized on her spear as it thrusted toward the ape's chest.

The spear melted the diamond scaled-armor and pierced toward It's heart.

The ape fell on the ground, lifelessly. A purple spirit ring hovered above it.

Xiao Yi prayed for the ape and quickly sat on the ground to absorb the purple spirit ring.

Yu Long helped Xiao Yi on absorbing the purple spirit ring, because he was cautious of something happening to her.

His heart was always filled with uneasiness when it comes to Xiao Yi wellbeing.

Xiao Yi quickly absorbed the purple spirit ring with the help of her <Star Dragon> and <Regulus Star> suppression.

She stood up from the ground and a purple spirit ring lit up behind her.

<3rd Spirit Ring: Star Dragon Armor>

Xiao Yi's crimson spear released a deep growl as crimson scaled-armor started to appear all-over her body.

She looked like a crimson dragon knight while holding her spear.

"How cool," Yu Long opened his mouth in admiration.

Xiao Yi looked truly cool while being covered in the crimson scaled-armor.

"This spirit beast enhanced my body's over-all largely," Xiao Yi explained as she reverted back to normal.

Yu Long nodded and they immediately went to get Fang Lin's spirit ring.

They soon found a 1,822 years old spirit beast called 'Diamond Troll', sleeping quietly.

Yu Long severely damaged the trolls body with his spear that looked like a javelin.

Fang Lin had a hard time killing the troll since he lacked a strong attacking skills, but he still managed to kill the troll in the end.

He managed to obtained a spirit ability called <Demonic Diamond Body> from the troll purple spirit ability.

This spirit ability made his body to be covered in diamond crystal instead of gold. The diamond possessed a denser and sturdy structure making his defense to be more greater and it also managed to inherit parts of the trolls regeneration ability, but only his stones.

It was now Ji Yi's turned to get her own spirit ring.

After searching for awhile, they managed to find a large eagle with large, sharp wings flapping behind.

It was a 1,900 years old spirit beast called 'Sky Eagle'

Ji Yu can handle the problem brought by absorbing a spirit beast that surpassed the optimal age with her strong body, but Yu Long decided to helped her.

They were after all friends that developed a deep bond during these past months.

Ji Yu in the end managed to absorb the purple spirit ring of the eagle without any trouble and gained a spirit companion.

She managed to gained a spirit ability called <Wind Sylph> which allowed her to enhanced someone's agility and grant a ability called <One With The Wind>.

It also contained the <Support Mode> and <Guardian Mode> like her other spirit ability.

In the <Guardian Mode>, a large eagle will fight alongside Ji Yu while commanding the wind and it's razor sharp wings.

It was not Hu Yu's turned to get her third spirit ring.

A compatible spirit beast was abit hard to find for Hu Yu, since it had to be a mental attributes.

It took some hours before they managed to found a large red fox with seven tails. It was a 1,938 years old strong spirit beast called 'Fire Fox, but it was like an insect infront of Yu Long.

The javelin pierced toward the side of the fox and was now unable to move.

Hu Yu took out a sharp spirit dagger and charged toward the fox to swiftly killed it.

She absorbed the purple ring that dropped from the fire fox with Yu Long's helped.

Hu Yu successful absorbed the purple spirit ring and got an ability called <Spirit Fire Mind>

It allows her to imbue a spirit fire into her mind thread that allowed her to deal damaged toward the mind and also have the chance to cancel spirit ability.

Yu Long stood up from the ground and stared far away into the starry sky.

He let out a smile.

Ji Yu's spirit rings looked like charmander, pidgey, and still not sure (golem)

Xiao Yi's scaled armor looked like the armor from ddraig.

(Optional: power rangers or kamen rider.)
