Chapter 3 — Spirit Awakening Ceremony (1)
Yu Long woke up from his bed and felt his body brimming with energy instead of feeling drowsiness. He then pondered about his schedule for the future.
He planned to not perform the exercise he did yesterday at day and decided to only perform it at night when the sky is illuminated by the countless stars. He then decided to the Stone Library to read some books.
Yu Long first went toward the orphanage kitchen to grab some foods because he was currently hungry as hell!
After filling his stomach with lots of foods, Yu Long quickly went toward the Stone Library to read some books.
The Stone Library was not that huge or grand-looking. It was just simple and was pretty normal looking over-all but this simplicity made it a true library toward Yu Long. It was a place filled treasures and was also like his second home.
Yu Long went inside the library with an refreshing smile. The interior of the library was simple and plain with green grass placed on a pot as a decoration. Although containing many books that ranged into old and new, Yu Long prefer to read the books telling about the occupation called spirit master.
He grabbed an old book that reeks with the stench of ink and quietly started to read it on the wooden desk.
Yu Long was so immersed into reading books that time seems to look fleeting to him.
The sky was already dark and illuminated by the countless stars.
Yu Long quietly closed the thick new book he was currently reading and placed it back toward it's proper location. He then went back toward the orphanage.

Yu Long opened the window of his bedroom and lit up an incense to brighten his room. His bedroom was serene and quiet.
Huu!
His chest caved in as he took a deep breath to focus his entire mind. He slowly started move into many complex posture while breathing in a certain interval.
The posture was deeply engraved to his muscles and soul, making him to be able to do it instinctively perfectly.
Yu Long emitted a serene and tranquil feeling as he slowly forgot about the outside world and focused his whole will toward his movement and breathing.
The countless stars and the colossus crimson silver star released a strong eye-blinding light that grew more stronger as Yu Long did the posture and breathing exercise. The light reached the Douluo Dalu planet, making the the dark sky to slightly be bathe in crimson silver light.
Crimson silver wisp appeared on the sky and was sucked toward Yu Long's body to be absorbed. Yu Long body greedily absorbed the wisp of light without any waste. Yu Long's body gradually started to get stronger.
His soul was also absorbing bits of the crimson silver wisp to get stronger and pure.
Yu Long exited his trance state after finishing every move of the mysterious posture and breathing exercise.
'It seems my guess back then was right! I can only do the exercise once a day.'
His body needed to fully adjust to the change that happened toward his immature body after absorbing the crimson silver light.
'I should test my strength to see how much it increased.'
Yu Long stared infront of him as he clenched his right arm into a fist and then pounded his fist toward the air.
His eyes shone and grinned widely after hitting the air.
"My strength increased significantly!" Yu Long said happily.
He was malnourished since he was a baby, causing him to frail and prone to illness. It got even more worse after spending many times solely reading books.
Seeing his body condition improving made him naturally happy.
'I must work harder!!'
Yu Long eyes were burning with determination.
His reason to get stronger was for his goal to find his parents, read all existing books in the world, and became a person capable of living without any sufferings and worries.
Yu Long went to sleep because it was already night to relax his mind.

Time quickly flowed by; one year had passed since Yu Long received the mysterious book.
Yu Long was now a handsome six year old boy. He grew more taller and muscular but leaner with defined muscles carved all around his body.
His crimson eyes were menacing to look at as it released an intimidating dark crimson light glow everytime someone stared at it.
Yu Long was currently at the outskirt of the stone village, stargazing at the sky.
'The spirit awakening ceremony is already close, I wonder what my spirit will be?' Yu Long lips curled upward excitedly and nervous at the same time.
The Spirit Awakening Ceremony will determined his standing on this world.
If he failed, he will be like those people residing inside the stone village.
Living their whole life in a boring repetitive cycle, constantly worrying about the future ahead of them.
Yu Long didn't want that kind of life. He wanted to live his life without any sufferings and worries.
He needed strength was to ensure that kind of life.
The symbol of strength in this world was the Spirit Master.
He wanted to become a spirit master to live freely and protect those he hold dear.
In order to do that, he needed to awakened a spirit and have a spirit power in the Spirit Awakening Ceremony.
Even a weak spirit essence and spirit power will be enough.
He also wanted to find his parents...
Yu Long took his pendant and held it with his arm. His face was switching to anger and sadness repeatedly, while staring at the pendant.
Yu Long then looked toward the sky with his face quickly changing into shock and horror.
'It's so late now! I'm sure Nanny will be mad at me again!'
Yu Long shivered when he remembered the time he got home late and received his punishment.
'I will do the mysterious posture and breathing exercises now, since I will not be able to do it later.'
Yu Long reigned his trembling heart as he quickly performed the posture and breathing exercise.
He entered another trance state where he even forgot about his punishment later.
Yu Long finished the complete exercise after many minutes quickly passed by. He felt an intoxicating vigor flowing through his blood vessels, causing him to help pleasant.
He then quickly went back toward the orphanage without any hint of hesitation.
In that peacefull night, it was one of the most night that Yu Long had.

The Spirit Master is what the normal people in the Doulou Dalu continent admired and respected.
Spirit Master are people who cultivate their own 'Spirit Power' and awakened their own spirit essence at the age of 6.
There are 100 known rank to the public, which are broken into 10 major ranks.
Rank 1-10 is signified as the starting point of being a Spirit Master.
Rank 100 is the ascension to Godhood.
The only way to awakened a spirit essence was through the spirit awakening ceremony.
Only the people born with the talent of Spirit Power can cultivate.
The people without any spirit power can't cultivate no matter what they do. Unless a miracle happened toward them.
That was the rule of world.
Yu Long had known about this fact after reading a book that introduced the Spirit Master occupation.
