Chapter 23 — 2nd Spirit Ring (1)
After arriving inside the academy, Yu Long gave the statue he made to Fang Lin and Xiao Yi.
"Holy spirit! This wooden statue looks exactly like me!" Fang Lin looked at his statue in shock.
Xiao Yi was looking at the her statue with a happy face.
"Thank you," Xiao Yi slightly bowed her head toward Yu Long.
She felt her cheek going hot.
"No problem," Yu Long said while smiling seeing their reactions.
Yu Long then left the two after chatting for abit and went toward the training hall of the Han Academy.
He was gonna train all his martial arts.

Two months quickly passed to Yu Long as he trained everyday.
Xiao Yi and Fang Lin had already advanced toward Rank 20 Sprit Master with their hard effort and also from the resource given from the academy headmaster.
The herbs effect was to help the spirit master body to get stronger and also slightly speed up the cultivation.
What Yu Long did In these past two months was making some money in the morning with hi sculpting and trained his martial arts after that..

Yu Long trained his [Star Finger] by striking his finger at trees to strengthen it and he also bought a iron spear to train his [Star Nature Spear Art]
Yu Long also sparred with some of the students who was brave enough to improve his battle experience.
The only thing that Yu Long didn't like during these months was he lost some of his reading time to accommodate his busy schedule.
Instead of reading for books for 5 hours it got reduced to 2 hours!
Thinking of those thoughts made him furious.
Yu Long then shook his head to get rid of those thoughts.
He looked at vast amount of tall trees around him.
Yu Long, Fang Lin, and Xiao Yi was currently inside the Star Dou Forest to get their 2nd spirit rings.
"I hope that we find the suitable spirit beast for us soon..." Fang Lin prayed while saying that.
Fang Lin remembered the time when he and Yu Long spent many hours just to find some.
Yu Long seeing Fang Lin praying, chuckled as he said, "Fatty, don't worry. We will be lucky this time since we have Xiao Yi."
Xiao Yi flinched hearing that and then looked at Yu Long with a slight red face.
Fang Lin got annoyed and jealous seeing the mood between them.
Yu Long suddenly stopped on his track seeing a spirit beast Infront of him, "A pitch-black turtle is infront of us!"
Fang Lin and Xiao Yi followed Yu Long's gaze and saw a large pitch-black turtle sleeping under a waterfall.
Yu Long seeing the pitch-black turtle knew it was a spirit beast called 'Flying Black Shell Turtle'.
Looking at it's pitch-black shell shade and how large it was, it looked like a 1,200 years old spirit beast.
"This spirit beast will be perfect for you, Fatty," Yu Long said while observing the large black turtle.
"Okay!" Fang Lin nodded his head in agreement.
"But it's a 1,000+ spirit beast..." Xiao Yi didn't know why Fang Lin would want to absorb a 1000+ spirit beast.
It was over the optimal spirit ring age for a Rank 20 Spirit Master!
Yu Long then realised Xiao Yi didn't know he had an amazing technique that can make one absorb a spirit ring over the optimal age.
"It will be okay. We have a secret method to absorb it." Yu Long said as he thought of what he did to Fang Lin when he first absorb his 1st spirit ring.
Xiao Yi can only nod her head at what Yu Long said.
She decided to trust him.
Fang Lin called his spirit essence and transformed and Xiao Yi called her Star Dragon Spear.
Yu Long decided to summon his second spirit essence since they need to use all their strength to penetrate the turtle defense.
[ Cosmic Nature Tree ]
Bright green light exploded from his left arm, condensing into an small tree.
The tree had a black trunk with many branch that held green leaves.
"..!?" Xiao Yi was shocked seeing Yu Long summon an unfamilliar spirit.
Yu Long seeing Xiao Yi's face answered awkwardly, "I forgot to tell you, but I actually have a second spirit!"
"Okay..." Xiao Yi felt Yu Long had more secret inside of him.
But she felt glad that Yu Long had trusted her enough to reveal his second spirit.
Xiao Yi felt her entire head heating up as she thought of that.
The black turtle was known for hiding inside it's shell if it was in a fight and then fly to ram to it's opponent or fly to flee from the fight.
Yu Long then quickly devised a plan to subdue the black turtle and then explained it toward Fang Lin and Xiao Yi.
Yu Long took a deep breath as he said toward Luna inside of him, "Luna, use your spirit ability toward us!"
Luna felt excited seeing she will finally go into action.
<1st Spirit Ring: Lunar Mark>
A bright crescent mark appeared on Yu Long, Xiao Yi, and Fatty's forehead.
They felt themselves getting stronger.
<1st Spirit Ring: Star Dragon Thrust>
Xiao Yi held her spear forward as she charged toward the turtle followed by a crimson dragon.
The black turtle awakened instantly as they felt danger coming toward them.
The turtle black shell glowed in violet as the turtle went inside it's shell and floated in the sky.
The black shell flew toward Xiao Yi direction.
Clang!
Xiao Yi felt her two hand going numb as she struct the black shell.
"Fang Lin!" Xiao Yi stepped back as Fang Lin appeared behind her.
<1st Spirit Ring: Golden Fort>
Fang Lin activated his ability, causing his whole body to be covered in golden stones.
Baam!
"Ora!" Fatty lower body sunk toward the hard ground as he held the resisting black turtle shell with his two hands.
Fang Lin felt he was about to be crush into death soon.
"Yu Long!" Fang Lin groaned loudly.

Yu Long switched into [Cosmic Regulus] as his blood flowed faster causing his skin to reddened.
He quickly felt his vigor and Star spirit power becoming lower.
Yu Long took his iron spear out from his pendant and held it with his two hands.
Crimson aura mixed with silver color was leaking out from his entire body and gathered toward his iron spear.
Yu Long thrusted his spear toward the turtle shell.
Roar!!
A silver lion with a raging crimson mane appeared with Yu Long.
Crack!
The turtle shell showed cracks after Yu Long spear hit it.
Crack!
The turtle black shell crumbled into pieces revealing the naked turtle.
Roar!
The turtle howled in anger and horror seeing his precious shell being broken!
"Do it Fatty!" Yu Long shouted toward Fang Lin.
<Golden Fort: Stone Control>
Fang Lin nodded his head and formed a large golden blade on the tip of his arm.
Putchi!
He stabbed his golden blade toward the turtle vital part.
Fang Lin felt the turtle skin was quite tough and decided to use all his strength to push his blade more deeper.
Roar!
The black turtle wailed in pain as Fang Lin blade sunk deep into it's body and the turtle soon died.
"Rest In peace.." Fang Lin prayed to the black turtle.
A purple ring appeared infront of him.
Fang Lin quickly sat cross-legged on the ground to absorb the ring.
Xiao Yi stood on the side wondering how Fang Lin will absorb the purple ring.
Then she saw Yu Long putting his palm on Fang Lin abdomen.
The purple ring was absorbed into Fang Lin's body shortly afterward.
Yu Long quickly sent his Star Spirit Power toward Fatty Dantian.
Fang Lin trembled slightly as he groaned in pain.
Yu Long continued to send his star spirit power to help Fang Lin deal with the pain and absorb the ring.
Roar!
A faint roar sounded within the Star Spirit Power, causing the purple ring to shake in terror.
The purple spirit ring became docile and did not showed anymore resistance toward Fang Lin.
Time passed quickly and Fang Lin had fully absorbed the purple ring and breakthrough the Rank 22 Spirit Grand Master.
Fang Lin stood up and stretched his sore body.
"What spirit ability did you get??" Yu Long asked with curiosity.
"You will see," Fatty smirked as he said that.
<2nd Spirit Ability: Black Turtle Shield>
A purple ring appeared behind Fang Lin as his two arms were covered in black gauntlet made out of stones.
Two large black shield with a intricate turtle design were placed on the side of his stone gauntlet and did not need to be held.
"This two shield can also fly on the air!" Fatty said smugly.
The two large shield on his gauntlet disconnected from it and hovered around Fang Lin.
Yu Long and Xiao Yi was amazed seeing the shield flying around.
"The only problem is that I need to control both of the shield mentally and it also consumed alot of spirit power."
"Then can you go on top of your shields to fly with it and also use your 2nd spirit ring with your 1st spirit ring?" Yu Long asked with sparkling eyes.
It was impossible to use 2 spirit rings at the same time, but Yu Long knew that their ring was different from normal.
"I don't know, but I'll try it," Fang Lin said amazed at Yu Long's idea.
Fang Lin tried to activate his 1st spirit, but nothing happened.
His face became disapointed, but he suddenly heard the Golden Rhino inside of him.
"This Gold Brother will help yah!" The golden rhino said, causing Fang Lin to be shock.
<1st Spirit Ring: Golden Fort>
A yellow ring had appeared next to the purple ring behind him.
Fang Lin was quickly covered in golden stone and the black stone gauntlet on his hands, turned into gold with the two shields also turning into gold.
He had successfully used two Spirit Rings at the same time!
