1 The Infant of Dragon Valley

In an unknown valley of Douluo Continent, colorful clouds floated in the sky, and towering skeletons stood on the ground.

These skeletons exuded an ancient aura, as if they had come from a distant past.

Even though they were only bones, they still radiated a noble and domineering presence.

Suddenly, a baby's cry pierced the silence of the valley.

From where the sound came, a nine-colored brilliance shot up into the sky. In an instant, the entire valley was thrown into chaos.

Countless colorful clouds in the sky rushed toward the nine-colored brilliance, competing to be the first to reach it. Red, yellow, green, cyan, blue, black, gold, and other hues of clouds swirled and clashed.

The skeletons that had been quiet for ages seemed to come to life.

Low dragon roars echoed throughout the valley, shaking the earth.

In the deepest part of the valley, there was another nine-colored brilliance, equally bright and dazzling.

The two nine-colored lights seemed to resonate with each other, becoming brighter and brighter.

No one knew how much time had passed.

Suddenly, a buzzing sound rang out.

The space above the valley split open, forming a dark crack.

A silver light shone, and a silver figure emerged quietly from the crack. She stood in the air, wearing a silver dress and a silver veil that covered her face. Her long silver hair hung down to her waist.

She looked at the valley that was now engulfed in turmoil, and her eyes moved slightly to the place where the colorful clouds were converging.

She saw the extremely bright nine-colored light.

She was startled, and a hint of shock flashed in her purple eyes. She quickly stretched out her right hand, and her delicate palm was as flawless as the finest jade. With a simple gesture, she caught the nine-colored light in her hand.

She glanced at it, and saw that it was a baby who was less than a month old. Her eyes widened, and she felt an extremely familiar yet powerful force. Her face changed slightly under the veil, and she revealed a bit of joy that was hard to conceal.

She turned her head and looked sharply at the depths of the valley.

The nine-colored light that was still flashing there seemed to be telling her something.

Her eyes changed, and she made up her mind. She looked at the countless tall skeletons below, and a trace of sadness crossed her expression.

Hatred flashed in her eyes. She held the baby in her arms, and her body flashed and disappeared into the crack in space.

As the two left, the valley that had been rioting gradually returned to its previous calm.

...

...

In the Heavenly Soul Empire, near the Star Forest, there was a small town.

The town was not prosperous, and it could not compare to the main cities and big cities.

Most of the people living in the town were civilians, and there were few nobles.

In the northwest corner of the town, there was a house, where many civilians lived. In the alley, there were heavy gasps.

A child who was about six years old was holding a heavy cauldron and running in the alley. Under the cauldron, the child's figure seemed very small, but he held the cauldron that even an adult could not lift and ran with steady steps. Every step he took was firm. After running a few laps, he left clear footprints in the alley.

"Squeak!"

"Bang!"

He stopped in front of a courtyard and kicked the door open. The door hit the wall with a loud bang.

The child carried the cauldron into the courtyard and set it down on an empty spot.

The cauldron landed heavily on the ground, making the earth tremble. It was a clear sign of its immense weight.

"I'm so tired!"

Su Yu complained, wiping the sweat off his forehead with his hand. His face was flushed.

This cauldron weighed more than a thousand kilograms, and no ordinary adult could lift it.

Su Yu had been born with extraordinary strength, but even he felt exhausted after running around the alley with the cauldron four or five times.

"I need to take a shower first. Uncle Tian and Aunt Bi will be here soon."

Su Yu muttered to himself, then walked straight into the house on his short legs. He ignored the sweat that soaked his body and boiled a pot of hot water for a nice, warm bath.

He rinsed himself with the warm water, then poured a basin of cold water over his head. He felt instantly refreshed.

He scrubbed himself clean and put on fresh clothes.

Su Yu felt like a new person.

He found a piece of fruit in the kitchen and bit into it. He leaned against the door, bored.

His big, black, and shiny eyes sparkled with a calm and wise light that did not match his age.

"It's been six years. Six years since I came to the Douluo Continent."

Su Yu sighed in his heart.

He was not a native of this world, but a transmigrated person. He had traveled physically, not mentally. He had become younger, not older.

The Douluo Continent was completely different from his previous world. This was a place where only the strong were respected.

The strong had everything, while the weak could only kneel and be slaughtered. Without enough strength, one could not control one's own fate.

"The worst thing is that this is the second era of the Douluo. If it were the first era, it might be better."

Su Yu shook his head secretly.

In the second era, there were all kinds of monsters, and even a god-king who ruled over everyone's destiny.

In the first era, although it was also chaotic, there were fewer dark soul masters. There was more protection for the common people.

Moreover, in the second era, it was very hard to stand out without a good background and identity. It was harder for a commoner to become a soul master than it was ten thousand years ago.

"Uncle Tian and the others will come soon to take me to awaken my martial soul, but I'm a transmigrated person. Where would I get a martial soul?"

Su Yu's eyes showed a hint of worry.

Everyone in the Douluo Continent had a martial soul, no matter how talented they were, or whether they had soul power or not.

But he was a transmigrated soul. Where would he get his martial soul?

And without a martial soul, how could he survive in this world where martial souls were everything?

Was it because of his natural strength?

He didn't know why he had been born with such power, but he knew that it was not enough. Without a martial soul, he could never achieve greatness.

And even though he was strong, he had not reached the point where he could overpower all kinds of magic with brute force.

Not to mention the soul masters. If he met a slightly stronger one, he would be doomed.

Being strong didn't mean being good at fighting!
