17 chapter seventeen

Juliana's heart was beating so fast as she tries to make it stop.

Ma'am" one of the workers called her out, as she left to check what was going on.

"No, place It on the left," Juliana said hence she instructed them,  as Darick stood at the side glaring profoundly at her.

"Not like this" she yelled out, the moment she saw Darick looking at her, she felt so suffocated thus she left to get a breather.

"Are you okay" Darick mumbled with a smile on his face.

"Yes, just work stress" she muttered glaring at the opposite viewpoint.

"Are you sure" he raised a question, as she turns to face him.

"Yes, I am" Juliana mumbled with so much fake assurance it was work-related.

"If you say so" he uttered as he walks back into the house.

The day passed by with Juliana on the edge for no good cause.

"Will be going now," Juliana said, as she informed him, they will be back tomorrow.

"How long will this last" Darick raised a question

"For ninety days" she replied back to him.

To her, she thought he was talking about the ongoing work at home, but Darick was busy driving to something else

"This will be fun" he muttered, as he watched Juliana walk away.

Hours later, she was dropped by her colleagues at work, as stumped her family having dinner.

"Welcome honey," Mrs. Torres said the minute she saw her, as Juliana ran to the table, shoving her face in the food.

"Take it easy," Mr. Torres said,  glancing at her.

"Am sorry, it's just that  I had a stressful day at work" she replied back, as both sisters glared at each other.

"Show off" Ivanna muttered, sitting next to her, thus Juliana smiled overhearing it, hence she retorted.

"You should be"  Juliana replied back to her, pinning a devious smile on her face, which made Ivanna angry.

Thus after dinner, she walks off to her sister's room.

"Could you kindly explain what you meant by that word at the dining table" Ivanna muttered glaring at her sister.

"What? you know am right" Juliana mumbled back to her, as she plops on the bed.

"Now you gonna use that against me," Ivanna looked at her, with a surprise expression on her face.

"Nah, I wasn't trying to actually" Juliana replied back to her, as she tucked herself in bed.

Juliana never once made it known that even though she went to school and her sister refused, there were still love and respect amongst them but now all was blown off the minute they made up their minds to outrun each other.

Remember our previous table, Ivanna scores one (1) points and Juliana nothing.

But now Juliana scores ( 3) points, which is ahead of her sister.

Juliana not only spent a whole day with Darick but also has the tendency to so before the ninety days elapse.

Whereas Ivanna needed to find a way to get close to him, and I trust she is already planning a scheme of hers.
