24 DWDSS Chapter 23 - The Dashavatara Sutra

After Reino returned home, he found that Sarasvati was still in the hall. She was working on two well crafted scrolls, made out of demonic best skin and treated with alchemic oils. The Ink she used was also a specially ground one, made of dried vibrant herbs and demon crystals.

When Reino asked her what she was doing, Sarasvati replied that this was her new creation. She named it Scrolls of Knowledge. Its main purpose was that it can be used by anyone to depict the pure essence of whatever they wanted to record in it.

All they had to do was infuse it with a bit of their mind and spiritual energy, and then try to project whatever knowledge, technique or even memory they wanted to record. Accurate and essential information about it will get recorded automatically in the Scroll, as each scroll had partial sentience due to the material and techniques used in its making.

Finally finishing her work half an hour later, Sarasvati handed one of the scrolls to Reino. It contained the customized cultivation technique for him, along with information on his Soul Attribute, Form and Realm.

Opening the scroll in excitement, Reino eyes went vacant for a few moments as a huge amount of information gushed into his brain. This scroll not only had the customized cultivation method Sarasvati made for him, it also contained information about Reino's Soul Realm, Soul Form, And Soul Attribute.

Reino's Soul Realm, Soul Form, And Soul Attribute were all unique. His Soul Realm was Black-White Duality, which formed a complex runic net pattern. His Soul Attribute turned out to be Totality-Emptiness Duality, which represented both the Material World Creation and Void Heavenly Expanses. Finally, his Soul Form was in the shape of Planet of Ten Moons. The Soul Form literally looked like a planet with ten moons revolving around it in the middle of space.

Finally, the Cultivation method made by Sarasvati for him was called the Dashavatara Sutra. The Dashavatara Sutra was an extremely overbearing and powerful cultivation technique that allowed the user to have ten demon spirits. Each of the demon spirits will automatically get upgraded to God Level Growth rate and will have an extremely great chance of getting mutated the more they are used.

It is heavily supported by the Soul form, Planet of Ten Moons, as it increases the cultivation speed by many folds to compensate for the enormous amount of energy requirements for those with Planet of Ten Moons Soul Form.

The Dashavatara Sutra allowed user to purify all cultivated energy to extreme levels. Within the same level, the cultivator of this technique will be equivalent to thousands of those in the same level simply through brute force. This makes them next to undefeatable in battle.

However, as heavens are fair, unless their talent is heaven defying great and have supreme cultivation speed, the users of this technique will have slower progress compared to peers. But unlike their peers, no matter how much external resources are used by the cultivator of this technique, their foundation will remain extremely strong.

Throwing a grateful look towards Sarasvati, he found that she had been staring at him in expectation.

"This is really great Sarasvati" Reino said while siling as he knew she was waiting for praise "you have really out done yourself. This is many times more terrifying than Ning'er' s technique."

"Well of course it is" Sarasvati said "First of all her soul quality is much lesser than ours. Secondly, we have no obligation to help her that heavily. Her cultivation technique is already amongst the best of this world and we even gave her a unique Demon Spirit unmatched in its rank. If she still can't gain control of her fate then it means she was never meant too."

Reino wanted to argue, but he found that there was no point that he could counter her on. It truly was next to impossible to counter a Wisdom Goddess when it came to logic. Moreover, he knew that Ning'er was not intertwined to his fate.

Based on the fact that he was not even of this world, Sarasvati was completely right in saying that they had already done more than needed, probably even a bit too much. Sighing in resignation, he decided to inquire about Sarasvati's cultivation technique.

"Oh mine?" Sarasvati replied "Well, as you know I am a wisdom goddess. My talents lie in knowledge and arts, not fighting. Hence my cultivation technique is completely focused on my specialities while ignoring fighting capabilities."

"My cultivation technique will drastically boost my comprehension towards various arts and auxiliary professions amongst the cultivators. And since my demon spirit is my own godly form, I will be able to acquire comprehension towards the laws related to the various arts and auxiliary professions."

"Well if you are sure then I have no problem with it" Reino said while smiling "Moreover, we will always be together so I don't think there should be any problem."

"By the way, I found the one causing fate fluctuations" Reino said as Sarasvati swiftly turned towards him "It's that kid Nie Li, though for some reason he is giving me a weird feeling, as if he is an old man in a kid's body."

"As I said before, he could have been reincarnating like you. Some people are chosen by the world's fate to write on its canvas. Now all there is left to see is if he turns out to be a saviour or the scourge." Sarasvati said.

"Either way, it is none of our problem for now. Let him roam free and pursue his interests. I want to see what his actions are in preparation for whatever future he has seen. For now, we will just focus on our cultivation and training in our auxiliary arts."

For the next few weeks, things were relatively calm as Reino and Sarasvati focussed completely on cultivating. With combination of Indestructible Turtle Body skill and Invincible Asura Body Technique, His physique reached black gold rank. With Dashavatara Sutra, although his progress was slightly slower, he still reached Peak of Silver Rank. However, his rank was deceiving, because with his reserves he could defeat peak of Legend rank if he really went all out.

After reaching Silver rank, he discussed carefully with Sarasvati and chose Four Special Demon spirits to fuse with. Since with his cultivation technique he could fuse with 10 Demon Spirits, it was not a big deal. The Four Demon Spirits he chose were the Four Riders of the Apocalypse: White Rider – Conquest, Red Rider – War, Black Rider – Famine, Pale Rider – Death.

The reason why he chose them was the fact that with Sarasvati's modification they had gained a duality nature. He could summon them and gain their characteristics like most demon spiritualists do. Also, he could summon them as an artifact, and they would manifest as a weapon representing their power. Conquest could become Sword, War could become Spear, Famine became a Bladed Whip and Death became a Grim Scythe.

They also attended classes regularly, Sarasvati attended to keep up pretences and Reino because he had started to enjoy Ning'er' s company. He found Ning'er to be extremely sincere and kind girl, and was also pretty fun to hang out with. He would also guide her in cultivation from time to time, and she reached silver rank easily along with him in the same time.

Because she was close to Reino, Ning'er also got acquainted to Nie Li, but she disliked the arrogance he had always when talking to others. He always behaved as if the whole world was made as a playground just for him to manipulate as he pleased.

After being suppressed her whole life because of the Sacred Family and the playboy Shen Fei whom she had been engaged to, Ning'er thoroughly disliked manipulative people, especially those who did so openly.

She knew that Nie Li was very good to his friends and that was the whole reason she tolerated him. during these few weeks, Nie Li had also lashed out at teacher Shen Xiu again, exposing the fraud her family did at copying ancient inscriptions and passing them off as their own. This had only escalated the rift between the Sacred family and him, putting him under open threat.

Deciding to lend him a hand from the shadows, Reino kept an eye out to ensure that the Sacred Family doesn't use underhanded means on Nie Li's family and friends. Anyone who tried was swiftly taken care of by him in the shadows.

But seeing Nie Li's situation gave him an understanding of how important a group was in the long run. One individual can surely accomplish a lot if they have the necessary knowledge, however their productivity and reach will be always less than what a group can accomplish.

Reino discussed about this with Sarasvati and they decided to build a group of their own. To do that they first needed a reputation of their own, hence they decided to join some Guilds. After some deliberation, Sarasvati decided to join Alchemist Guild, while Reino Joined the Artifact guild.

Artifact guild had declined the most in the current times. Most of their artifact making processes were lost, especially in blacksmithing techniques. Since everyone wanted to learn inscriptions and make quick coins, no was interested to spend long hours in blacksmithing.

It took Reino barely three days to reach the highest-level proficiency of the guild's blacksmith. It was an old man who was finally happy that a new blood had come and he could quit his blacksmithing career. With Reino's persuasion, the old man with the name Hang Suo, decided to became Reino's representative and handle the business for him.

Reino bought many blacksmithing, artifact making, and soul weapon-making knowledge with Tico's help. He soon gained proficiency in all these and his artifacts stepped into a whole new level. Popularity of Reino's inscribed weapons and artifacts gained the attention of even the City Lord Ye Zong.

He had paid a personal visit to him and within a few days was showing off an exquisite longsword crafted by Reino. Reino had taken care to learn some soul examining techniques from Sarasvati and crafted a longsword perfectly suited to Ye Zong's cultivation and soul realm.

At the same time Sarasvati had improved many of the existing pill recipes and even devised dozens of new and improved medicines in Alchemist Guild, ranging from day to day life improvement medicines to cultivation boosting, body purifying and spirit enforcing medicines. With their rapid improvement in status, the duo had made all the noble families respectful and wary of them in short time.
