DWDSS Chapter 018 - Unexpected Encounter and Benefits

The Dimensional Transportation Pass took him in a place of the void beyond Time and Space, searching for a suitable world according to his choice. Having Tico with him made things easier as she used his energy to guide him through this realm of Nothingness. Just as they were about to reach the world Tico had suggested him of, the dimension around them started to shake.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, the calm space turned turbulent, and Dark lightning flashed followed by the loud sound of Space collapsing. In a matter of moments, Space had turned pitch black with a dense amount of small black cracks, Reino was struck by a sudden chill in their hearts.

All of a sudden, there was a loud sound of an explosion of turbulent space, the spatial shock-wave damaged Reino internally and he spat a mouthful of blood that was vaporized instantly in the spatial disturbance. A strange black gash split apart the space some distance away from him as if a huge black eye had opened right in front of him in the air. At this moment, a strange light emitted from the black opening.

Before he could figure out anything, a strong suction force attracted his damaged body to the Spatial crack. The more he struggled the stronger the suction until he felt as if the entire world was crashing onto him and pushing him into the Spatial Crack. With his last conscious thought, he decided to transform into Poltergeist and turned invisible in the ghost form so that no one would be able to find him unless he wished to and finally fell unconscious under the effects of the injuries he suffered.

When he woke up, he heard a bunch of rowdy people arguing and about to come to blows. He opened his eyes and first looked for his hand. Seeing them made of a translucent haze only he could see made him relieved since it meant that he was still invisible and that no one was able to see him.

He then turned to the people arguing and observed them. From what he heard after a few minutes he was able to make out what they were saying because of a special feature of Necronomicon. These guys were a bunch of secret terrorist-like group in this world. They robbed people, plundered ruins and took all kinds of assassination contracts.

Currently saved up enough money to gather some special resources which would be used to repair an ancient altar which would be able to tear open a temporary dimensional tear and somehow grant these people power or special demon spirits.

Apparently in this world, one could contract monsters or demon spirits and with the help of them, they can fight and do a variety of things: the usual. And since Reino was invisible, these guys thought the materials were defective and that was why the ritual failed and was arguing with the members who bought the materials.

Bored of their arguments, Reino contacted Tico in his Mind Space. Soon his consciousness was pulled into an empty black colored space. A drop-dead gorgeous girl came towards him wearing a t-shirt and skirt and, for some reason, a pair of bunny ears.

"Hi, I am the representation of Tico your mind made. However, I would like to ask, why the Bunny ears?" Tico said while pointing at her head.

Reino swiftly wiped away the slight amount of drool leaking from his mouth and said immediately "No idea. But it does look good on you!"

"Does it?"

"Yes definitely. Extremely cute!"

"Hmm, thank you I guess then. Anyway, I think you must be here to know more about the world we are in. So, let's get to that without any delay" And then Tico explained to him exactly where they were.

Tico for some reason summoned a pair of glasses that she wore along with summoning a blackboard for writing and drawing. Though Reino wanted to ask why was she cosplaying, he decided not to since she was looking pretty sexy nonetheless.

"This world is pretty much a world of cultivation. But it has its own unique points to, and based on our requirements for strengthening your soul, this world is pretty much perfect. However, beware, there are many hidden aspects to this world which I won't be explaining currently else it will be harmful to you."

"Currently based on your situation I will give you a basic rundown of the power system. There are two types of power system that exist here. One is the Fighter type, which basically involves body strengthening and martial arts mastery."

"The other is the demon spiritualist, which is slightly interesting and suitable for you as it involves training the spirit and merging with a monster, godly or demonic spirit to cultivate. You will be able to access the prowess and specialities of the spirit you merge with and after a certain point even transform into them, which is pretty much your speciality."

"Now, even though I said demon spiritualist is suited to you, you can't use that method right now for three reasons. One, you are injured by that spatial disturbance and even with your power, you need to heal."

"Two, you are still adapting to this world laws so all you have is pure physical power. Even the poltergeist transformation you have currently will fade away soon as it will be called back to the Necronomicon."

"Three, you don't have a proper Demon Spiritualist Cultivation method. Your Tang Sect Energy Cultivation method is special, as it generates an omnipotent energy and has thankfully converted all your mana to that energy, your still need a proper Cultivation method to adapt to this world's laws completely and use your energy. Otherwise, your energy will only have 50% its usual might."

"Therefore, based on these points, you will only have access to your physical body for now. I have a few ideas about how to strengthen your current summoned demons too. But first, tell me if you have understood everything, I have told you."

"Hmm… Yes. The rules and laws that bind this world are pretty straightforward to understand. So, what should we do now?" Reino asked Tico.

"The first step is to complete the Emergency Quest Ahura Mazda just gave you."

Tico said while looking terrified "Plus, we need to do that so that Necronomicon can modify your body that is constrained by this world's laws. Only then you will be able to use your summons and your doppelganger powers. However, your doppelganger powers will be slightly restricted. This world and its laws will restrict your transformation and cloning ability to a certain extent."

"Hmm, that is indeed worrying. 90% of my power will be restricted in this world then. I will have to adapt to this new world and its laws. However, you don't need to worry Tico, I don't plan on failing!"
