Cynthia (Lily): The main character who has the ability to change it forms either female or male and maybe a Futanari (for you who has that kind fetish) the MC (mostly as female) is from a race called Doppelganger at first most people would call her an airhead and naive person but as each time she met, interacted, eating or even having intercourse would give her some extra knowledge she needs that may cause her to gain personality and awareness.

Dan: A normal young soldier that helped to guard the gate in and out of the city and always help other people as he can. he fell in love with Cynthia's mother (unknowingly that the one who accepted his love was actually Cynthia by her real name Lily) Dan himself didn't notice it until he hears the truth himself directly from lily that the one he fell in love were actually her birth mother who is currently taken by her parasitic father while she birthed a daughter that was result from activities.
