5 The Steps of a fool

Location: Svartalfheim

"Father, should I slaughter them all now? I'm starting to get bored with this mindless slaughter... Are we here to rule or annihilate them?" Hela asked her father. As she communicated to him via magic.

"Annihilate them on my signal. For now, hold them back... It seems the Dark elves are now able to reanimate there fallen comrades back to full help. I will attempt to find the source of this dark magic." Odin commanded as he finished stabbing an abomination made of eldritch magic. Hela seeing the eldritch abomination was shocked.

"Before you go attempt to kill them one by one else they all form to conjure an eldritch abomination," Odin replied.

'Just what is conjuring these Damn elves...' Hela thought seeing the mass of dread.

"Understood. See you soon," Hela replied before ending her call.

"Go forth Mjølnir," Shouted Hela as a Hammer rushed through the dark elves killing them. The hammer although blunt was able to pierce through the chest of the many Dark elves unfortunate to cross her view. Seeing its effects she smiled but quickly sighed soon after.

"It's not enough..." Hela muttered as she quickly called Mjølnir back.

"This is taking too long.. They keep coming back..." Hela muttered confused as to how they were still able to contest her warriors. They were specially trained after all yet the rate at which they were killing them was too slow. For every 10000 dark elves that were slaughtered one of her soldiers would be killed. Yet the Dark elves numbers were not declining as their corpse kept reanimating slowly but surely.

"Quickly slaughter them all!" Hela ordered. She was getting far too bored and agitated, the battle had become one-sided with her aid yet she had to stay here and hold them back. If they were to move to her fathers' position they would compromise their flank.

"Huh, I'm starting to miss my room," Hela muttered.

While she enjoyed her influence over the nine realms as Odin's executioner she felt that was the extent of her reach. She wanted more yet less. These feelings made her somewhat weary. The feeling that 'being' had left her unable to feel joy in their suffering in fact it made her pity them. Though that did not stop her from slaughter them all it was her duty as Asgard princess to fulfil her duty to her people and land. As well as prove to her father that she could rule Asgard alongside him.

"Your royal highness what shall we do? it feels as if we are being led by a stick. It seems like a trap if you ask me. This has been the 10th wave and I have yet to have seen any noticeable figures within them. How goes Odin have we received any news?" A Valkyrie asked. She was one of Hela's many loyal servants, she stood as the strongest Valkyrie in her rank her name being Brunnhilde. Her loyalty to Asgard was certain with any order from her or her father being absolute. It was their creed after all.

"Do not falter we will slaughter them all before they get a chance to do so. My father should now be attacking their leaders. We only have to suppress them until they give up. Once they do will be able to reign supreme over Svartalfheim," Hela replied.

"Fenrir!" Hela exclaimed as a large portal appeared. Coming out of it stood a 50ft tall wolf its might sending shivers down some of the Soldiers back who were thankful to be on the side of Asgard.

"Devour!" She ordered as the giant wolf now started to devour the Dark elves stopping them from reanimating.

"Hopefully this gives us some more time,' Hela thought as she continued her onslaught on the Dark elves their bodies being left on pikes. Seeing a large chunk of corpse billing up she started to worry.

"ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!" A scream came as a demonic spell started to form over the dead bodies. Seeing it she attempted to interfere with the casting but was unsuccessful as it was protected within a barrier. Seeing the mass dissolve and become liquid it formed a hideous monster.

"Hold!" Hela commanded. Seeing the shield go down she immediately ordered them to fire upon it.

"Now my valkeryies!" She commanded as they all focused their beams on an abomination made by the Dark elves its groans of suffering being heard all over the battlefield.

"Hopefully father is doing alright..." Hela muttered as she continued her endless slaughter on the thousands of Dark elves.

"So you have come Odin, son of Bor. Have come to finish what your father started? Or will you fail just as he did," Malekith the Accursed questioned as he surrounded Odin with copies of himself that would send dark orbs of power towards him.

"Well, of course, the weak must be obliterated should it not? Was it my father slash your eyes because it seems you have failed to see the filth within yourself," Odin snarled as he rushed forward slashing towards Maliketh who blocked the attack with his staff.

"Oh, no, no, no. These are not the wounds caused by your father. This is," Malekith laughed as he showed Odin a scar near his stomach it's cut deep.

"But do not worry. I have yet to show what I'm capable of," Malekith snickered.

"What will you do though? You have nothing to go against us. The aether is within Asgard walls. While my father slaughtered most of your people it seems you have gained more than a few more than what you started with." Odin stated his sceptre facing towards the weaving Malekith.

"Huh? Whoever said I would need the aether to destroy you? I only need it to destroy the nine realms. Since you been so kind as to face me yourself I shall slaughter you, your family and then your people next." Malekith spat as he poured orbs of magic in his hands which started to contort and flare.

"Ha, Ha, Ha, you overestimate yourself Malikith. Die elf!" Odin replied as he continued his barrage of attacks on the Slippery Malekith who seemed to teleport and dance around his beams much to the annoyance of Odin. Dropping his sceptre he, in turn, grabbed his spear.

"You say you are going to slaughter me yet you have failed to even land a blow! You are nothing but a serpent who has yet to be caught," Odin replied yet he was starting to wonder if he should remove the seals on his body. They were placed there to alow his output of power to decrease. It was their stop any friendly-fire but due to the enemy being more than what he bargained he took if of as leaving the battle to draw out would be more harm then good.

"You keep underestimating me, Odin. You've finally taken off your seals? Do you think I didn't see the seals on your body? You think I'll show you what I've been hiding if you keep playing along huh?" Malekeith questioned his hands now forming a cross with large portals surrounding Odin and firing chains. Odin caught by surprise was shocked at what he saw.

"Because then you'd be right." He continued as his eyes opened to reveal his pitch-black eyes.

"This power... Just what is this..." Odin muttered shocked as he was bounded to the ground by pitch-black chains made of some sort of odd magic.

"Hmph arrogant as always. Just like your father. The cinder doesn't burn far from their flame," Maliketh taunted as he made his way towards Odin with an ebony dagger.

"I may be blind Odin but even a fool can see that you've grown far too arrogant. Placing seals on your body in a warzone? What is there to gain from such an action? To learn how to hold back? How ridiculous." Maliketh smiled.

Maliketh now in front of Odin slashed his armour upwards leaving a deep cut on Odin's body. Odin staring at Maliketh groaned as he felt the blade penetrate his skin.

"Suprised? That's for your father. Now for your life," Maliketh snicked ready to slash Odin only to pushed back.

"There is wisdom in your words Maliketh... I will no longer hold back," Odin replied as an incredible amount of Odin force powered his body and eyes.

"Hoh,hoh,hoh... So you've finally decided to take off the glove..." MalIkith replied.

"Well so will I... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" Maliketh screamed as all the dark elves on the field suddenly started to swarm Malikith eroding his body into a large eldritch demon. Seeing Malikeths jaw and head twist and turn he looked in disgust at what he was becoming. Pouring out of his being was tendrils that eroded the very plane they were standing out.

Its crimson eyes were present everywhere on the tendrils on its head with its head having no eyes but a large gaping mouth. Each teeth having a length of 60metres.

Maliketh now finished with his transformation towered over Odin and his entire forces. Hela on the west side of the feed looked on in horror at the being. She had seen the Elfs disappear only to hear a large scream come from Odin's side.

"Could this possibly be the being that killed Surtur..." Hela muttered shocked at the eldritch monstrosity.

"Die," Maliketh hissed.
