17 Dark Lord?

The Doom slayer gazing through the window of his room fixated his eyes on earth, his mind in a blur as thoughts of his old life resurfaced. The days of old ; When men fought their wars against men. Where the looming eradication of humanity was done by the self-destruction of humanity and not demons. Yet ultimately it was still humanities greed that led them to such a state. Greed for Argent energy. Question of how and not should. When progress meant everything morals were tossed aside. Why should the life of one not be used to prosper the next billion?

"While prosperity did indeed require sacrifice... Was my sacrifice not enough? Was my crusade and wrath not enough? Or were we doomed from the start? Ancient beings existing beyond time and space playing with the common man. In such a world where such a fate exists are we truly free? free of life or are we lambs to the slaughter? Destined to die and live with such threats around the cosmos... Is living futile?" The Doom slayer lost in his thoughts continued to ponder. For although he was strong he was not omniscient. To save everyone was destroy them as well. Such was the fate of fools and the Doom slayer in his defiance of such a thing raged on. For while he knew life was unfair he knew that by it being unfair that it truly was fair.

"Apologies for the interruption Doom slayer, but may we enter?" Vega interrupted, his voice now leaving the Doom slayer lost at thought again. Even now he was still shocked by the development of his old world where such a robot was produced. Was there a possibility that machine could wage a war against flesh? Turning his head to face the door he allowed him access, his gaze still not leaving earth.

"Greetings Doom slayer, current construction of the Halo's are now the last on the lost. Shall we proceed with construction?" Vega asked, the silence between the two now having a tint of awkwardness.

"Hmm..." Grunting the Doom slayer affirmed for the construction of such bases around every planets stratosphere. With this, he would now have full coverage of the milky way. If any extra-terrestrial threat were to emerge, they would be quickly put out of their misery before they could even dare to step onto the earth or any planet for that matter. Such fools would be eliminated before they became so.

"Stop following me you scoundrel!" Hela fumed as she furiously kicked the bot to bits before another was quickly constructed to follow behind her.

"Such attempts on my life are futile... Though such actions are suited for a primate of your age," Retorted leaving the Doom slayer dazed as he started at them.

"What does the Female want..." The Doom slayer thought as he made his way towards them, his steps leaving loud thumps which echoed Hela's ear drums.

The Doom slayer seeing Hela scanned here his eyes going up and down her figure. Should she be exterminated? Hela noticing the Doom slayers gaze did the same and was more than impressed, the man looked stronger than her father. Standing at 220cm with bulging muscles she couldn't help but continue to stare and seeing his stares she misinterpreted the doom slayers thoughts.

"How crushable is that skull...." The Doom slayer thought, his hand now pulled into a fist as he visualized the gruesome scene.

She was dangerous and he knew... Such energy signatures suggested she was not at all human. Tests showed that all things that surrounded her degraded, meaning that she was either a demon or something else. But while he could kill her, he knew that doing so would be a tremendous waste. A future soldier was ripe for the taking and indoctrination could do more wonders for the world than a corpse. Perhaps the marines had taught him more than one of their tactics. Another factor though was the uncanny resemblance of her looks with humanities. Things don't just evolve to look human, biology always suggested that if there was life it would not look like us. Different planet's always had a different story and now he wanted to know hers. Perhaps he race sent a single individual to the world as scouts before an invasion. Should she pose such a threat he had no problems ripping her spine from her throat.

'Perhaps by staying by his side I can regain my Domain. The man seems cable and with his might I may be able to even go further in strength than before,' Hela thought as she now turned to look at the floor. Turning to look up she noticed that he had walked past her completely ignoring her now.

"Uh," Hela exasperated confused.

"Do not be startled... Even I do not understand what goes through his mind at times," VEGA explained the tiny bot now following the Doom slayer who was now equipping his armour.

"This armour... It looks... Familiar," Hela muttered her mind searching for whatever link she could piece together yet nothing came to mind.

"Attention doom slayer scans have returned positive. Strange energy signatures have Been found emanating from coordinates XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXX." VEGA announced.

The Doom slayer hearing this walked towards his garage. Hela following suite was eventually stopped by VEGA a metallic robot halting his foot steps.

"Is there a reason I'm not allowed to follow?" She asked.

"The Doom slayer has a less efficient way of transporting himself through space. While you seem capable I doubt you are able to handle the Doom slayers means of travel," VEGA prompted causing Hela to puff her pride still present.

"And what do you mean by that?" Hela asked.

"I am saving you. Scanning your body your lungs may rupture to the intensity and speed at which the Doom slayer is about to travel." VEGA warned.

"You underestimate my power VEGA I am a warrior as well as a spell caster. I am able to cast a spell able to enhance over the limit of my body," Hela explained her hands by her back as she formed a green aura around her.

"It is still not enough. While your body density as increased it will still be crushed under the Doom slayers speed." VEGA replied.

"Just how fast is he going then?" Hela asked intrigued.

"The motorcycle was constructed to not match his speed but instead control it. In space, there is no need to control it but channel it. In space, the Doom slayer is able to travel beyond light itself." VEGA explained.

"Beyond light itself? Explain." Hela demanded.

"Your knowledge of science is lacking when we return you will be educated," VEGA replied.

"Educated... Hmph, you act as if you are my father," Hela murmured.

"My apologies. If you wish I shall teach you the ways of science," Vega replied.

"Now If you want to travel you will need to wait. I will open a portal once he reaches the sight." VEGA continued as thousands of scouting bots left with the Doom slayer. Though the Doom slayer entered earth in a few seconds but slowed down due to the sound barrier.

The Doom slayer now reaching the sight was met with a cursed manor. Entering it he dropped down and continued his investigation.

<Traces of dark energy emitting from the surrounding area>

Feeling an entity behind him he turned to see Merlvian floating above the ground his eyes glowing a mystic blue with his robe armed to teeth with runes and enchantments flaring light.

"Greetings Doom slayer we seem to have bumped into each other once again." Merlvian smiled his hand by his back as he descended onto the ground his steps almost ethereal with his foot steps sharp.

"Though I already have a feeling of what's to come I will ask? Do you know anything?" Merlvian asked.

"No," VEGA responded before the thousands of droids formed a circle, opening a portal allowing Hela to decent on to Midgard.

"Hmm, I smell death and darkness... Strange things have occurred here," Hela muttered.

"Oh and who may you be?" Merlvian asked before stopping his diverting to a certain space.

Merlvian touching the air randomly grasped hold onto something and was pushed back the force leaving him stunned momentarily.

"It seems someone has released him," Merlvian sighed.

"Released who?" Hela asked.

"Dormammu, the dark lord of the dark dimension," Merlvian revealed.
