Chapter 1She hates pretty boys

"My goodness, Rhan! What if it's not Lix who found you? I told you to stay away from Jake's parties! He invites weird people, well, except for Lix," Rhian massages her head as she walks back and forth in Rhan's bedroom.

Rhan just woke up and she just stares at the ceiling while laying on the soft wide bed in her parents' mansion. She never wanted to go back here, this is her prison. But here she is, suffering from her hangover while listening to her sister's nagging.

She can't remember clearly what happened, all she can recall is a guy listening to her while doing something inappropriate and there's nothing more to remember. She groans as she tries to remember what happened to her and how she got there.

"Who's Lix?" She asks, thinking it's the guy who harassed her.

"Hm? Oh," Her sister looks at her weirdly then realized that Rhan doesn't know who he is.

"Um, you know, an actor and a great singer, Lix Westria."

"Hm? Who's that?"Rhan gets up slowly while yawning.

Rhan is the type of person who doesn't know any artists except if she's listening to them or watches any of their shows. Yet sadly, she's haven't heard of Lix. Rhian just sighs while watching her sister stand up.

"I have to go, I need to work." Rhan fixed her hair and took her phone, "Wait, where're my clothes?" She just noticed she's wearing pajamas right now, she looks around but her clothes are nowhere to be seen.

"You're covered in your own vomit last night, I asked the maids to dress you up. Just choose anything in your old closet, some of your clothes might still fit your fat body." Rhian slowly closes the door.

"What fat? I am not fat!" She stomps as she went to her walk-in closet. She used to love all of the clothes, shoes, bags, and jewelry that her parents gave her. But now that she realized that she was just being paid to do what they want, she resented every piece of gifts they give.

"Just now, I will throw it when I get home," she looks for a simple dress, it's summer and wearing pants can be a trouble. Even if it's still early in the morning, she's already sweating.

After choosing the white shirtwaist dress, she went to take a shower.

"Lix? I heard that before, I just can't remember," she thought while she's drying her hair. "I really should slow down in parties. It's getting dangerous."

The sun shines bright and the wind grows warm, she's already sweating just by walking outside the mansion. "Let Phil take you home, don't tell me you're taking a cab, remember what happened that time," Rhian puts her hand on her waist. Rhan was almost kidnapped when she first took a cab.

"Nah, I was stupid then. I'm wearing expensive things at that time and I was drunk. Do I look rich now? I'm only a simple girl wearing a simple dress."

"No, Phil, take her home," Rhian ordered the middle-aged man, Phil, and he immediately opened the car for Rhan. And if there's one thing Rhan knows that her sister hates, it's disobeying her. She'll get a good long time of nagging if she refuses.

She rolls her eyes as she gets in the car. Phil used to be her personal driver until she decided to leave her parent's nest. Rhian chooses to stay because she can't leave their parents alone. She loves them dearly even though she's arranged to be married to someone she doesn't even know.

"Dad will have a talk to you tomorrow, they're on their way home from the United States," Rhian peeks at Rhan in the car. She has this worried face because she knows Rhan will not like meeting their father.

"What? No. I'd rather get married to an old man that meet him," Rhan clicked her tongue and folded her arms.

"Be careful what you wish for," Rhian smirks by what her little sister said.

"Hey! What! I don't mean that" Rhan looks surprised by what she said, she just mutters without thinking.

"Maybe, only half of what you said will come true."

Rhian closed the doors as Rhan was about to say something, "What? No, I don't want any of it, I'd rather die!" Rhan shouts as they start to drive away. "She's so annoying, whenever she says something I feel like it's going to happen because of her bossy character!"

"Hi, Miss Rhan, I hope you slept well! I love you~" Lix said while smiling sweetly on the camera. Everyone, including his manager, got shocked by what he said at the end of his interview about his new album.

"C-cut!" Everyone froze while watching him stand, his smile didn't fade even though he noticed that everyone got caught off guard. "Well, was I great?" He smiled beamed while waiting for the praise his co-workers always tell him.

"Yes! Of course, you're the greatest artist!" The people around him commented. He just smiles as his manager walks toward him with an angry face. "What was that! Are you finally announcing your engagement without telling me?" Lix's smile disappeared.

"Is something wrong with that? Do we have a rule in the contract that I can't greet my future bride?" Lix looks at his manager like an annoying mosquito that he can kill with a simple clap.

"No, but I wonder why this little prick didn't tell me his decisions that may affect his popularity?" His manager didn't budge and even looks at Lix like he's just an ant he can step on.

Both of them scares the people away whenever they are having a misunderstanding. Lix doesn't feel fear when he's talking disrespectfully at his manager because he grew up with him. Lix started as a very young artist while his manager watches him grow up. They're like brothers.

His manager sighs, "Be responsible for this, I know there will be questions and interviews happening in the future. I just wonder who's the lucky girl?" He pats Lix's shoulders as they walk away from the set.

"She's someone special..." Lix genuinely smiles, Shane got shocked by his expression. Lix never smiles genuinely. He just does it for the fans. 'You're in love,' Shane thought while walking to the parking lot. They have to go to another show since Lix is promoting his new album, he has multiple shows to attend.

"Hey, since you said I should tell you things, I guess I have to say that I will be serenading Rhan in the next show. I wrote this song last night, and I want to sing it to her immediately. I can't personally sing it to her because she doesn't know about me still," Lix smiles awkwardly while he scratches his cheek.

Shane just stands in front of Lix, dumbfounded. 'He's in love with someone who doesn't know about him! How cruel can life be for you, Lix?' Shane thought.

Lix grew up with an emotionless parent who just wants him to be a great artist. He was never shown any love. All he got are supports and love from fans, his parent told him that the love he gets from his fans is enough, he doesn't need their love. What kind of parent thinks that way?

"Just do what you want, please, just properly face the consequence," Shane sighs as he enters the car followed by Lix.

"'And your heart's against my chest, your lips pressed to my neck

I'm falling for your eyes, but they don't know me yet

And with a feeling I'll forget, I'm in love now"

Lix sings as he strums his guitar. The people sway following his voice while looking at him in awe. The girls shriek while other blush, they all think they are being serenaded by their idol until he mentions a girl's name.

"Hey, Miss Rhan, have you eaten yet? I hope you won't attend any party today," his smile captured everyone's heart, for a moment, his female fans shrieked but they immediately search for a girl naming Rhan on social media. No one seemed to be involved with Lix so they went deeper to find who the girl is while they are still on the show.

"May we ask before we finish this day's show, who is this girl, Rhan?" The interviewer asks. Lix just smiled at her sweetly, making her blush, "It's a secret," he put his index finger in front of his lips and winks. The shrieks almost deafened everyone in the set.

"Le-let's wait for new updates about this lady, Lix is singing for, Rhan! Thank you for watching today's show, have a good day, everyone!" The interviewer said as she closes the show.

Rhan, on the other side of the city, in her home, draws the comic due for tomorrow. She's almost finished, the television is turned on as a background sound but she suddenly turned her head and watches when she heard her name,

"Hi, Miss Rhan, I hope you slept well! I love you~" a man said while smiling. She raised her brow, "Huh, someone has the same name, who's this guy?" She watches as he waves goodbye on the people watching live at the set, "He looks so fake, why does he have to smile that way?"

He returned on finishing her comics. After a few hours, without eating or getting up, she heard the same voice and name on the television after the man sings, she admits while listening that his voice is really nice and she plans on listening to his other songs, "Hey, Miss Rhan, have you eaten yet? I hope you won't attend any party today."

"Yeah, I won't," she replies. She suddenly froze with what she did. "What the heck, I thought someone's really talking to me, that's weird," she said as she watches the same guy smile, he's on the other show, promoting his album. "Ah, that girl is lucky to have someone with a voice like that sing for her," she whispers.

Somehow, as she stares at him on the screen, he looks familiar. "Is that Lix?!" She creamed. She just remembered that it's him who took her home, she took a glance at him when she suddenly woke up while he's driving her home. Her face turned red as she realizes that it's her he's talking about. "This can't be happening..." she covers her face. "I hate pretty boys!"
