26 Chapter 26: "We fell down"

Klein's lit up at that. If others are obsessed with being the bigger person and they can easily forgive, he is the exact opposite

He always makes sure that everyone that wronged him would pay. In Klein's perspective, in the first place, he wouldn't need to forgive if a person did not do something bad to him, right?

But of course, this was only on the 'medium to big things' and it also depends on his mood

Minor things that don't have much effect would be ignored by him. However, if it was, for example, bullying especially just because of his sexuality, he surely would avenge himself

Calix 'setting him up' is also something that Klein considered as big. Thus, he wants that guy to endure the consequence

But there is one problem with that. "How are you even sure that he'll help us?" Klein asked doubtfully

In his eyes, Calix is the epitome of evil. He doesn't believe that Calix will help him even if this was his fault

"He may not look like it but Calix is kind inside. Well, except for people that only likes him for his appearance" Cain answered confidently with a grin but Klein is still far from being convinced

"I'll rather believe that he is the son of Satan than him being kind" Klein said with a sneer before continuing. "And please, I have high standards. He doesn't reach even just half of it"

Klein will absolutely not fall in love with a black-hearted guy even if that person was the only guy left in the world! Calix would never be someone that his heart would yearn for! Well, that is only the current Klein's thought. As for the future him...

"Relax, I'm not him, why are you being too fierce?" Cain felt like he was the one receiving the anger that Calix should receive and that makes him dissatisfied

However, he must admit that Klein's current expression makes his bisexual heart beat ten times faster. How can a person be this handsome even when angry?

"You have so high of standards that I doubt anyone would even reach it" Shane chimed in the 'fun' and Klein immediately shot her a disdainful look

"I'd rather be single for life than settle for someone that will just break my heart"

"Have you ever seen someone break my heart?" Shane asked with a knowing smirk but Klein easily bursts her bubbles

"No, because you are the one breaking other people's hearts. I don't even know why am I a friend of such a heartless woman like you"

Shane can't reply to that as Klein's words were 100% true. She had a lot of boyfriends in the past but it was them that cried over the break-up, not her

"Fine, fine, no one can really win against you in the battle of words" Shane gave up in fear that Klein would continue to roast her but Liam also joined in the fun

"Klein, you mean, we are actually friends with her?" Liam innocently asked and Klein giggled at that while Shane became furious

"If you don't want me to flatten your already flat buttocks, don't anger me!"

Being reminded of how flat he was in that part is certainly not a good feeling for Liam and he can only stick out his tongue like a kid

The five people inside messed with each other while checking the papers for some time until the doorbell rang again

This time, Cain was the one that stood up from his seat to open the door since there is only one more person that was invited

As expected, when Cain open the door, a tall guy with golden hair and silver eyes can be seen

Calix was visibly panting hard as the air in his lungs was lacking. His hair was in a disheveled state and some strands of them stick to his forehead that is covered with sweat

It was clear to see that Calix did his best to come here as fast as he can. He was wondering what could possibly be Klein's emergency since even his playful friend - Cain seems to think that he was a heartless person when he called

Cain almost burst to laugh when he saw Calix's state. It was not every day that he can see this friend of his in this state

However, Cain continued his acting as he looks at Calix before shaking his head. "So you came" Cain said coldly and Calix's heart beats faster than before

Just what could possibly happen to Klein? Is he sick? Is his arm hurting that much? What did the prof do to him?

All sorts of questions popped inside Calix's mind. Not knowing that Cain is just messing with him

"What happened to him?" Calix asked. He was clearly worried for Klein even though they are not close

This is what Cain meant when he said that Calix is kind inside him! As long as a person don't mess with his life just because they like his appearance, his attitude would be completely respectful and soft

Without the misunderstandings between Calix and Klein, they might even become good friends with each other

"Go inside, see it for yourself" Cain replied and he guided Calix inside the apartment

The first thing that Calix sees was Klein that was looking in the side with a displeased look on his face

It was clear to see that Klein is far from being happy with Calix's presence

None of the thoughts that came into Calix's mind became true. Although Klein has a bandage on his arm, he looks completely fine aside from that

Where is the emergency that Calix hurried for?

After a few seconds, Calix realizes what is happening and he immediately shot a deadly glare at Cain

The look on his face seems like he would punch Cain any moment from now

"Hey, hey, don't look at me like that. There really is an emergency. Look at those stacks of papers. Klein is punished to check them all when his arm is hurting like that. Seriously, just what happened between you two?" Cain inquired and the ears of the others perked up

They were curious about the whole story and they were itching to know it

"We fell down and he hurt his arm yet we were ordered to sweep the floor. I ask him to rest since he is injured but the proof saw it and she thought that Klein was slacking off. But I swear, I didn't plan for that to happen"

Calix also took this chance to explain himself but Klein wouldn't easily believe him

The image they have with each other was too bad for them to think that the other has a kind side to them

This time, it was Klein that thinks he was set up. But if the situation was reversed, Calix might also think that Klein set him up

"Wait, you two fell down? How?!!" Shane suddenly asked with excitement in her voice

If it's just Klein that fell down then fine. He can only lament his luck. However, what does Calix meant by 'we'?

Did they fell down together? If yes, what sort of position they ended up with?

Could the cliche and legendary falling down the ground together scene happened between the two?

Did their hearts beat faster than normal? Did they felt like time itself slowed down? Could it be, they even had an accidental kiss with each other?

Could this really be the start of a cliche enemies-to-lovers story?

Everyone around except for the two in question had their thoughts go wild. They speculated at the details of this 'we fell down'

They even hope that it would be a juicy and spicy story! They greatly regret not being in the scene to witness it happening with their own eyes

The four were still making a drama series in their heads when Klein ended their dream

"Calm down, it was far from being romantic! My face collided with that guy's iron chest and I almost broke my nose while my arm was injured from that fall!"

Whatever romantic scenarios these four people were thinking are bullshits! None of that happened in real life

Klein even starts to doubt if it was really possible in reality

Although Klein already clarified the matter, the four with him wouldn't easily believe him

After all, these two are complete enemies. Would they really admit that they had some sort of romantic encounter? The four don't think so!

Thus, in their eyes, Klein was completely lying to them. And if Calix agreed with his words, then Calix was also lying

They were just ashamed that their heart fluttered when a legendary romantic scene straight out of a romance novel happened to them

"Yes, yes, sure, nothing romantic happened" Shane agreed with her words but everyone knows that she didn't believe Klein's words

That gave Klein an urge to use the pen in his hand to stab thousands of holes in that annoying woman's body
