1 Love at first sight

Hi , my name is Coral Gomes , I am promoted to highschool, grade 11. I stay in America, NYC .A new chapter of my life us about to be started and I am gonna take you with me. I am in a very conservative family, when I was 13 years old my father threatened not to fall in love. That fear prevented me from falling in love and I took a pledge but who knew my pledge would be broken so easily. My friends were always into boys , but I never got someone who could match my parameters. I am admitted in ,'Lauren Public High School'. And today is the First day of college.

Right now I am getting ready for school .

"Coral are ready?", my mom shouted.

"Coming Mom ,give me 5 minutes more."I replied.

I hurriedly put on my mascara , took my bag and ran downstairs.

"What took you so long ?" my mom asked.

"Nothing I was just packing my bag ." I replied.

"Are you going to study over there or to party , so much makeup is not needed." my mom said.

"Hmm." I replied bluntly .

Saw the struggles of being in a conservative family. Before my mom's lecture starts, I gobbled down my breakfast and drove away to school.

I parked my car and entered the school gate . I was feeling so enthusiastic and refreshed , the atmosphere was mysterious for me cause I didn't knew what was coming for me.

"Coral coraaal"

I turned back and saw my bestie Dora running towards me . I quickly went and hugged her.

"I missed you babe" I said to her

"We went to shopping together yesterday, and you say you missed me ." she giggled.

"Yup" I replied.

We have been best friends since 6th standard. She has always supported me in my ups and downs. She is the sweetest person I have ever met.

"Are you excited for today, I have heard that there are hundreds of hot singles here , I can't wait to mingle with them." Dora said to me.

"Dora is this a dating school or do you think this as tinder"i replied being emotionless .

"What are you down in these thing don't you wanna fall in love ,I have already been in two past short term relationships and you are still single being my bestie." Dora said.

"I am waiting for my perfect match" I replied.

"If you stay like this you will never find one" Dora said.

"Can we go to our campus right now" I said.

"See you always change the topic " she said.

I giggled and took her to the campus. Well I forgot to say you one thing. We have a secret friends group of 6 members. Our group name is 'Mature Minds' . Feels silly right but we di the most craziest stuff there and nobody knows about our group.

Right now I am with a bunch of girls, who are talking about the hot seniors of the school.

Girl 1- " Have you met those two handsome science seniors."

Girl 2 - " Yes and I have heard that they are the heartthrob of teh school. They are good at studies as well as appearances."

Girl 3- " And they both are bestfriend. "

Me being me , as I was yawning there. But suddenly dora said,

" Have you met them , can you please show them to us ."

Girl 2-" Sure , follow us."

Then Dora grabbed me and pulled me with her , though was not even hearing the conversation.

Girl 3- "There they both are."

"They are truly the most handsome humans I have even seen "

Girl 1 - " The first one's name is Edward , and the other guy's name is Alex."

"Coral I feel so single right now, just look at them " Dora said.

Though I was not in the mood , Dora was annoying me to see their faces , but as I looked up to Edward standing a 10 miles away from me , laughing with his friend, I was frozen on the next minute. I was overwhelmed with his smile , for the first time I felt different. I dont believe in 'Love at first sight ', because there is a lot of difference in liking and loving someone. I was just attracted to him at the moment.

"Coral coral coral are you there" Dora shaked me.

"Ye yess I am okay, nothing happened to me ." I said sluttering.

" Isn't he beautiful "Dora said.

"Ye yes he is " I said softly .

Just them our first bell rang for our first class . While walking , I smiled to myself and shrugged off the feelings. But who knew that this first impression of Edward would turn my whole life upside down.
