"You sure you don't want me to carrying him in the rest of the way?" Dimitri questioned as he slowly helped Raven support Carson again all by himself. He didn't want to leave Raven alone at the barely cracked open door but since they were already there it wasn't like before when he actually needed the help.

Raven grunted taking the full weight of Carson back over his shoulders. Not happy with it either but he knew that his mother's familiar was possibly in the room. There was no doubt by now with all the delays that Raven had faced that the familiar had gotten to the room.

From what he could recall about familiars was that they were supposedly some sort of talking animal. Though he never heard of his mother talking about having any animal before other than their family cat Menay but he was nothing like a familiar. He had light brown almost golden colored fur and couldn't say a word just a normal lazy domestic house cat.

He once heard that a bat could be a familiar as well but even so he never saw one of those growing up. Either way he didn't know what was in the room at that very moment and it was better not to risk it being seen by Dimitri.

Smiling politely he was thankful to Dimitri but this was where they would part ways, "Nah, I got it the rest of the way..."

Raven huffed pushing the door open a little further than before. He peeked into the room and looked down the hall but saw nothing in plain sight giving him a bit of relief. Glancing back to Dimitri he noticed that he was not leaving, likely waiting for Raven to go into the room seeing if Raven truly could carry Carson the rest of the way alone.

"It's late, we all have class I'd hate to keep you up any later" Raven insisted wanting Dimitri to at least walk away from his door fearing that he could hear something on the other side if he stuck around too long.

Dimitri looked at him for a second with hesitation but he pushed his hands into his pocket giving a nod letting go of his meddling for the night. "Alright Raven, see you in class"

With that Dimitri stepped away from the two and started back towards his room looking over his shoulder a few times watching as Raven struggled to gather himself to walk. Raven rolled his eyes to see just how much Dimitri hesitated to leave him as if he couldn't handle Carson on his own.

He let it go shuffling into the narrow hallway from the door he bumps and slides Carson along the walls, every bump only forcing him into another wall after pushing him off balance even more. Once he got enough into the room Raven dumps Carson on the carpet letting out a big sigh of relief knowing he would not be able to lift him high enough to get on the bed. He leaves him right there assuming anything would be better than the laundry room at this point.

"So you jumped your best friend to become a male again, interesting" A very young voice spoke up from in the room. Though Raven wasn't paying attention when he was bringing his friend in the room he did not expect the voice of a child so he was startled.

Raven jumped turning around to look for the voice that spoke up. Not sure what to expect he found the creature that matched the voice, a very young dirty blonde haired child, no older than five.

He was sitting on the edge of Raven's bed looking at Raven with a snickering grin. Sticking out of his blonde hair were a rather noticeable pair of tan colored cat ears that flickered out above his head. His little tail twitched back and forth behind his back as he playfully swung his feet off the edge.

"Who are... you're the familiar?" Raven blabbered out unable to grasp it not knowing that familiars could be human too. Looking the boy over for a moment he couldn't understand what he saw, this is nothing like he could have imagined.

"Yes, your mother's familiar..." The young boy spoke as he dropped down from the bed and casually walked over to Raven. This approach made Raven back up uncertain that he wanted this creature so close to him just yet, till he almost tripped over Carson. The familiar smirked stopping in his tracks so that Raven didn't fall, "Don't tell me you are afraid of a child, Raven?" he snickered taunting Raven's actions.

Raven huffed hearing this child speak of him being afraid making him a little edgy after the day he had. He didn't step any further back once the child stopped, not like he had any more room to move anyways.

The familiar looked back down at Carson for a moment thinking about the weight difference and how much energy Raven just wasted on him, "You probably should have waited till you were back in the room if you were going to carry him here..." he scolded.

Stepping a bit closer the child walked around Raven and leaned down reaching out to Carson's face resting the palm of his hand on his forehead, "Likely wasted most of your energy bringing him back, he's not running a fever it's fine if you feed on him once more" he suggests looking up to Raven.

Raven looked down at him wondering what he meant by running a fever wondering if that burning from before could be a cause of a fever, "No, I had a classmate carry him most of the way back so I don't think it did anything to my energy..." Raven paused as he caught what the familiar suggested for him to do again but also that it were true, he was the cause of this state Carson was in.

"No I'm not doing that again, so I did do this to him?" Raven questioned aloud as if he needed a straight out confirmation that this was what happened. Raven looked back down at the familiar to find him poking at Carson's face like a toy.

"Hey" Raven snarled nudging the familiar with his foot to make him stop and focus on what he had asked.

"Yep and to the girl you kissed first as well." The familiar confirmed not even looking over to Raven.

Raven hissed rubbing his face with his hand, he hoped he could deny being the cause of their unconscious state on something else but he knew it was going to be this way.

The noticeable guilt weighed on Raven causing the familiar to stand and place his hand on Raven's arm showing a soft smile, "This is what happens to the people you kiss for the first time, their bodies can't take the drain of energy without over reacting and shutting down, they'll be fine" he said trying to reassure Raven that his friends would be okay.

Raven slowly pulled his arm from the child's touch, "But you just mentioned something about a fever" he reminded not believing that they would just be fine without any other side effects.

"That's the least of your worries right now" The familiar stated with a light chuckle.

"Raven I told you before talking to yourself is lame" Carson grumbled a bit as he moved scratching his side while he rolled over to face away from them on the floor.

This caused Raven to hold his breath as he panicked that Carson would be waking up to see all of this. Reaching down he pulled the familiar back with him dragging him away from Carson just encase they needed to hide him quickly or if anything throw him out the room.

Raven let out the breath he held when he noticed that Carson didn't seem to be awake enough to do anything else just yet. Still he was nervous of Carson, awake or not because either way he had no idea what he was going to do with the familiar in the room.

"Ah he's getting close to waking up" The familiar states the obvious as he starts to unbutton his shirt.

Raven narrowed his brow for a brief second and ignored it, "Because you were poking him maybe?" Raven snarled agitated more than before trying to think while ignoring the comments made by the problem.

"You think so? I mean he was just bounced off a few walls but that probably had nothing to do with it" The child teased Raven having watched him carry in Carson earlier.

Raven pointed at the child giving a serious expression like he wasn't in the mood to play games. This threat goes unnoticed as it was more amusing than threatening to the familiar while he loosens more of his garments.

"Maybe we should take this outside" he finally suggested to Raven.

Raven narrows his brow looking down at him for a moment wondering just what he was doing taking his clothes almost off at this point. Ignoring it he would usually agree to going outside with their conversation but as it was now they did not look like a normal couple just having a little chat. With his cat ears and young boy body surely it could only make things even worse if he were seen at this point.

"Can't" He rejected the offer stepping away for a moment running his hands through his hair.

"You're frustrated, you haven't done much of that in a while. Come on some fresh air will do you some good" the young man's voice spoke suggesting to go outside once more.

"Well it's been busy recently"Raven remarked sarcastically, "We can't not with your..." as he went to speak he felt something touch his leg followed by a purr. He was reluctant to look down to this after knowing the child was taking off his clothes.

"I swear if you are rubbing against my leg like some perv I will kick you" Raven threatened but when there was no response he finally looked down. His eyes widen to find a normal cat rubbing against his leg. Though this wasn't just any cat this was Menay, his family cat, the one that is supposed to be sleeping on his bed back home.

"Menay?" Raven stutters out leaning down as he picked up his cat under the front of his arms. Holding him out in front away from his body he stared at this cat making certain this was his pet.

He felt like he were going crazy, this cat was the very same from his color, size, and even the same discolored white patch of fur where a scar was. Though he had gained a little more weight than before it was certainly Menay.

"I'm dreaming" he began to mutter this out bringing Menay's face to his own claiming to be dreaming over and over again.

"Since you share your mother's blood I am able to communicate with you in this form, I am sorry but I am Menay" A rather older gentleman's voice spoke up but only within Raven's head claiming to be the cat and the child from before.

Raven almost drops Menay to the floor but stops himself, his voice change was the least scary thing to happen to Raven today. Raven brought Menay from his face and looked at him funny, was it Menay's voice or some sort of hallucination at this point he couldn't help but wonder.

"I can tell by your expressions you are confused but it is me, and I felt that please don't drop me" Menay spoke up once again within Raven's mind but Raven was less surprised this time around so he did as he was asked and didn't drop the cat he held.

"This is not normal" Raven mutters in disbelief shaking his head. Carson stirs a bit more to the sound of Raven's voice in the room though he was alone now he was still being rather loud.

"Hey that's not a nice thing to say, who defines what is norm for the creatures such as us? We used to talk so often when you were younger I'm offended" Menay snapped in defense to the comment made as his tail flicked with agitation.

"We used to talk?" Raven narrowed his brow as he recalled Menay being his closest thing to a friend for many years but he was only there to cheer him up as a normal cat. "Okay I am sorry..." He muttered out as an apology becoming silent trying to think of his past unable to recall any from his really younger days wondering if what Menay said was true or not.

"Come on, take your cat for a walk" Menay suggested leaving the room once more as he extended his paw out to touch Raven's face to catch his attention.

Raven looked up to the cat before him narrowing his eyes to look down at the paw. He was just making it weirder for Raven to accept this new reality by acting like a simple cat now.

"Your paw smells like a litter box" Raven grumbled pulling his head back still not wanting to be touched.

"Hey, does not" Menay whined but still brought his paw to his face as if he were checking.

Raven looked over to Carson and back to Menay, "Alright just don't say anything while we're in the building please" Raven pleaded not wanting to have to talk to his cat while in the halls.

"I can do that" Menay agrees to the condition but instead of staying in Raven's arms he was placed down on the bed.

Raven stepped back pulling his uniform from his stomach as he lifted the shirt over his head dropping the shirt by the foot of his bed. Menay cocked his head to the side as he watched him go to the drawers, "What are you doing?"

Raven finally found a long sleeve shirt at the bottom of his drawer he could wear pulling it out he pulled it over his head, "I got soda all over me running into Carson earlier" he explained.

Walking towards the door opened it and looked out finding no one around, "Alright, you coming?"

Menay looked down at the shirt on the floor noting that Raven's cleaning up after himself habits have not changed since living on his own, "Yes" He says jumping down trotting to the door as the two sneak out of the room and down the halls.
