3 Nice to meet you

"Mr Mike!" The teacher yelled, as she hit my desk.

"Oh hello Miss Nicole" I said, startled

I had been lost in thoughts, I've been thinking about what had happened earlier in the day that I didn't realize that the teacher had already started lessons.

"You seem lost in thoughts there Mr Mike.What's the problem?" She asked

"Nothing ma"

"Well you should mind paying attention in class" She said, sounding harsh.

She had drawn everyone's attention now as the whole class were now looking at me,and some of them even laughing.

" I'm sorry ma" I said bowing my head in shame.

She left me and walked to her desk,after sitting for a few minutes she stood up to make an announcement.

" Listen up every one,I am going to share you all into groups of two's"

" And what will we do ma?" A boy asked.

" Good question Barry,each group has to make something scientific whether an invention or a presentation as long as it makes sense I'm okay.

After that she wrote numbers on pieces of paper and folded them, the rules were simple,who ever picked the same number with you was your partner.She dropped the numbers as everyone scrambled to pick one.After much struggling I was able to pick a number and it was a lucky number seven, everyone seemed to have found their partners except me so I decided to ask.

"Hey who got number seven" I asked, but no one responded to me.I kept on asking until Chloe heard me.

"I'm so stupid I haven't even opened my number yet" She said to herself.

"Hey I think it's me" She called out to me immediately she opened her number.

"Really?"

This was a dream come true I was going to be doing a whole project with my crush.

"Yes look at it" She said,and handed me the paper,it was for real.

"So where do we meet after school to discuss about the project?" I asked

"I don't know, maybe your house" She suggested

"I don't think that's a good idea"

"Why not?"

"I don't think you'll like my house"

"No it's okay I don't mind" She insisted.

"Let's just stay after school" I said.

"Okay if you say so" She said in agreement.

I could hear her giggling with her friends immediately she walked back to them.

I couldn't wait for school to end that so that I could be alone with Chloe,then suddenly something hit me Aurora and I always walk home together she can't walk home alone.I have to do something about her.I was so much lost in thought that I didn't notice when the dismissal bell rang.

"Hi Mike" Chloe said,then she grabbed a seat and sat down opposite me.

"Oh hi Chloe I didn't see you there"

"What's bugging your mind?"

"It's nothing"

"Are you sure? because it sure looks like something" She said reading my facial expression.

"Actually I'm worried about my sister we usually go home together but I don't know she will get home and"

"She can stay with us and wait for you" Said Chloe.

"You mean you are okay if she stays with me"

"Sure it's okay"

As we were speaking Aurora walked in she was really surprised to see his brother sitting and talking with a girl.

"Hey sis" I said.

"I see what's taking you so long" Aurora said.

"Don't worry we will be going home late today"

"Why?" Aurora asked.

"I have a project with Chloe here"

"Oh hi Chloe" Aurora waved at Chloe,and she returned the wave.

I agreed with Chloe to do a presentation,that was plain chemistry.

"You know I never got to know your real name" I said trying to make mixing the chemicals less boring.

"But you've called me Chloe lots of times today"

"True but I didn't hear it from you"

"Because you never talked to me until today"

"Ok hi there can I know your name?" I asked.

"You are silly"Chloe said, laughing.

"My name's Chloe James"

"Well nice to meet to meet you Chloe" I said.

I didn't know why but I felt great I was talking to Chloe without freaking out.

"You have nice eyes" I complemented her.

"Thanks"She said.

She was blushing now.

Cough! Cough! Cough!

"Excuse me incase you can't see it,it's getting late" Aurora said.

She caught me off guard there I forgot that my little sister was in the same room with me watching me flirt

"Oh sorry Aurora we are almost done" I apologised.

I felt a little bit embarrassed and so did Chloe.We hurried up to finish up the chemicals for our presentation tomorrow.I was very happy as I walked home with Aurora and that meant a new chapter in my life.
