PROLOGUE

*ten years ago*

Third person pov;

Mr. & Mrs. Zamani prepare to leave the house for their daughters school, Nora who was patiently waiting for them to come watch her present as a member of the middle school drama club.

Max their sixteen year old son had tried talking them out of driving due to the weather condition, but they will not budge as they had already made a promise to Mia to be present as she was the lead.

Max never really liked Nora, he bullied her a lot but that didn't make her hate him instead she loved him more.

The Zamanis got into the car and started their journey to the middle school Mia attended. Andrew wasn't the best at driving when it was raining, I mean who is and now it wasn't only raining heavily but also dark and clouded but he didn't complain he tried his best to drive. He just couldn't bear seeing his little baby's sad face because they couldn't attend her play.

Looking at the silver watch he has on his wrist, he notices they are running late and speeds up. It wasn't until he was really close that he saw the light from the car in front, trying his best, he hits the brake as hard as he could but the slippery road caused the tire to continue rolling.

Taking one last look at his wife he knew they were about to die and he didn't want that, even if he was going to die, he knew Rose should get the chance to stay back and watch their children grow, accepting it as his destiny or rather faith. He opens the passenger door Rose sits by and forcefully pushes her to make her fall from the side of the car.

With the full speed both cars where coming with, they crash into each other. Rose finally getting up and realizing how her husband had saved her was now in tears with fear that she will lose him. She ran towards the place the event had just happened but luck wasnt on Roses side as a coming car hit her from behind and she fell unconscious.

The person who hit Rose called an ambulance out of shock of what just happened, after a while the ambulance arrives rushing them to the hospital as fast as their lives could hold on to the thread it now hangs on.

Arriving at the hospital, Andrew was confirmed dead while the doctors kept struggling to save Rose. They called Max as he was the last person she contacted on her phone and informed him of the state his mother was now in. With tears clouding his eyes he took his bike and rode as fast as he could to the hospital only to be informed that his father had passed away and his mother has a slim chance of surviving.

Max only knew his grandmother from his mothers side to be his only relative in London so he called her informing her of the current situation, she broke down and cried and not long after she also arrived at the hospital.

After hours of trying to keep Rose alive she finally gave up her ghost; this was devastating news for both Max and his grandma. Their grandma is on the floor crying at the loss of her daughter and son-in-law. Max sheds silent tears and at a point grandma even fainted as a remedy to her sorrows but is brought back to consciousness to face her nightmares.

Grabbing her grandson they head home. Noras play long forgotten. Little Nora unaware of what had happened cries as her parents missed her big play and even forgetting to come pick her. Seeing as no one had come to get her, their next door neighbor whose daughter attends the school offered to drop her home.

With tears and swollen eyes from of all the crying, Nora enters inside the small but comfortable place they call home not noticing the sad faces belonging to her brother, grandma and neighbors. She blurts out.

"Grandma, Mama and dada missed my big play and now I will never play with them again"

Ironically she was right because she wont even get to see them nor would she play them. Grandma forces a smile out even when her tears were obviously dropping but Max didnt take it likely instead he stood up from the brown couch that sits in their living room and hits Nora so hard on her face alerting everyone in the room.

"You witch! You caused this! You killed them! I will never forgive you, its all your fault theyre gone" Max screamed dragging the You while everyone tried to comfort him and stop him from killing Nora saying she knows nothing about what happened and it wasnt her fault but rather it was fate.

Mia was now crying, the red mark from the hit still on her face, grandma pulled her into her arms and sat her on her lap while she baby talked he, rubbing her back in a soothing way trying to calm her loud wailing.

"You see mama and dada has gone to the land of the dead where grandpa is and they wont ever come back" she said trying to hold back her tears, but they seemed to have a mind of theyre own.

Hearing this didnt make Nora feel better instead she broke down and cried even more. What a way to destroy a happy family.

The day of the burial quickly arrived and family members from Italy and beyond came to visit, it was an all black ceremony where they wasnt even a bit of joy rather sadness.

After the event Nora and Max were taken to Italy to live with their paternal grandparents as their maternal grandma was too emotionally unstable to take care of even herself. Rose was her only child and the only person she could call family excluding her grandbabies. It was decided that when Max is of age he will begin to fend for his grandparent and sister since they were too old to work while Nora would be too young to work.

This condition he agreed to, but one thing he never forgot, Nora was the cause of his parent death
