Synopsis

The heads and limbs of loved ones were too common on the streets. The war had ended as soon as it had begun with humanity on the losing side. Nature raised its heavy hand upon us with judgement. Beasts from the bottom of the earth rose and decimated everything in its way. The survivors can still hear the cry of the soldiers at battle, the wailing of mothers, the anguish of fathers, the distraught of forced orphans. Chaos turned into normality as humanity counted it's last days till extinction. But hope came. Hope came in form of a child. A small boy who would change everything. Chapter 1Prologue

He pulls himself up struggling to stand. He grunts as a sharp pain grabs his right leg. He turns to look at it and can see an open flesh and blood dripping down his leg like a fountain. It wasn't supposed to be like this. We won! We… they let us think we won. The ground was filled with lost limps and corpses. It was a massacre. We lost… we… where did we go wrong? This is the end of earth for a second time.

Temple behind me began to shake from within. Its gird structure crumbled to the floor like a falling mountain. The brass breast plate on his chest slowed him down, throwing him to the floor again and again struggling to get to me. But he couldn't stop, he couldn't stop moving. He strips his breast plate off dropping to the muddy floor in a quiet plat, sound covered by the scream of our own brothers. Don't stop please. Don't…

Fear griped my lungs like a drowning man. Or was it just the blood I kept coughing out. I couldn't tell anymore. I look at the far horizon behind him. The beautiful sun rise climbed over the hills. The bright light shun through the cloud of smoke that filled the sky, to bring a dawn to a new day after our decimation, the last note to our long ode, the last laugh to this tragedy. Some fought back with all they had. Going down in the blaze of glory was all they had left to give. They aimed their fully loaded M-20 Kodiak New Gen rifle like a knight who stayed true till the end with nothing to lose before they would have their heads cut off. Others that weren't bleeding out on the ground ran mad fighting their own.

'No! No…' he screams like a battle cry 'do not give up! I'm coming! You hear me? I'm…' all sound just fades into nothingness like feeling an unexplainable peace at a water fall. The rushing sound brings the sense of chaos but that chaos brings me peace. My abdomen is completely open with my insides outside. The last thing I see before everything fades into nothingness.

However he perserved through all these trials! Our Dear Student Wang Zheng has finally started his lucky(?) university life! This is the song of a blood boiling and exciting storm! The most ferocious and heated mecha adventure around is finally here! TL Note: This is a novel about doing the impossible, seeing the invisible. Follow along for a ride across the universe! TL;DR: Not Shakespeare, not complex, but fun and easy to read. Come support! As the translator, I've enjoyed translating this novel and I hope to bring the essence of what the author has tried to portray into the chapters you will read. To sum it up in 3 words: Mechs! Explosions! Science! To be perfectly honest, this novel is about your typically overpowered protagonist who does get looked down from time to time but always overcomes the odds with his own special power. He's abit more mature having grown up on his own and just a littttttttle bit dense. Although it always ends up with him winning, it always happens in an interesting (subjective) and fun way that makes me enjoy reading this. The novel has elements of lighthearted comedy from time to time and I do chuckle at how direct the humor is. It's not as smart as say WMW nor does it weave an intricate story much like Ergen's novels. More importantly, its fun and it doesn't try to hide it.
