Michael even saw many of the people from the party filtering into the apartment building and his mouth curled up in a sneer.

He himself was dressed in a black suit and tie so the businessmen assumed he was coming back from the party and easily allowed him through the entrance. However Michael naturally didn't live here.

Instead he followed the original businessman towards his large apartment and tapped lightly on the door.

''Yes hello?'' A slightly tipsy bald old man opened the door, his large belly was the first thing that stood out to Michael.

But seemingly unintentionally, Michael saw three women through a crack in the bedroom door. Two were already stripped to their underwear while the other stood watching them condescendingly.

This type of behaviour made Michael sneer and the thoughts in his mind solidified. Soul Power is quite powerful and flexible.

It can do similar things to Spiritual Energy. Michael coated the tip of his finger, the best he could do, with his Soul Power before he pierced outwards.

The bald man's eyes opened with fear but couldn't move. However he quickly felt a stream of blood trickling down from his forehead. His eyes blackened as his body fell backwards with a large thump startling the girls within.

''Hubby what happened??'' The dressed women ran out screaming anxiously, and crouched next to the man's body.

''You bastard I'll Kill you!'' She grabbed a knife and ran towards Michael.

However Michael just sighed and reached out another finger easily piercing through the breast of the woman and bursting her heart.

She fell next to her husband, a suitable death. However with typical Protagonist behaviour, Michael turned towards the two girls huddled in the corner.

''Go.'' He said commandingly.

However a smirk appeared on Michael's face, when the girls reached beside him, his palm spread out and easily pierced them both threw directly.

Although Michael is a protagonist, he has grown up in this dog eat dog world his entire life. Experiencing ups and downs. Naturally he wouldn't let go of these two girls, especially since they could offer him soul power.

And if they told anyone about his ability, it would definitely draw disasters towards him. Especially since he killed a businessman, albeit a small one.

Michael looked at his successful hunt with satisfaction. Reaching out to grab one of the naked girls heads and drawing the soul directly out of it.

A white light passed through his arm directly to Michaels own head, the base of the soul.

Inside of Michaels head you could see a small floating ball, this was his soul. However when the light entered it turned into another floating ball in front of the larger one.

Michaels soul suddenly changed, turning blood red as it expanded like a rapidly growing fire, heading towards the defenceless white light. It slowly engulfed it but before the light dissipated you could see a flurry of life experiences appear in the light before it disappeared.

This is the origin of the strength of the soul, one of the contributing factors to how strong your soul is. Souls increase in strength the more you experience life. This can be anything, even just reading or playing a game on your phone will increase your soul strength.

Michael gulped with satisfaction as he saw his soul grow ever so slightly. Unfortunately this girl was young and her soul was relatively weak.

So Michael didn't hesitate to grasp the head of the next girl and absorbed her soul.

But next came the main dish, the Businessman's soul. As Michael grasped his head, a larger lump easily double the size of the previous soul came out.

As an older man and a talented businessman, the experiences that this man has gone through far outweigh the two fresh beauties.

Michaels Soul still easily engulfed it however, and this time it rose noticeably. If his last soul was about a 20cm radius, it grew to 22 cm!

So he grasped the head of the remaining lady. Surprisingly this lady is already quite old, at least 50, and she had quite a few life experiences and a powerful soul already. Michaels soul easily reached 23cm in radius after that.

Seeing the immediate gains, Michael turned his eyes greedily towards the other doors on this floor and was already knocking on the next door before he knew it.

That night the apartment complex welcomed an unprecedented bloodshed by an unknown assailant. And all the victims were small businessmen turning over at least ten thousand credits each month!

Samuel, who had been watching this all through the eyes of a Dog of War was stunned, then relieved. He finally learnt what Michael's ability was.

Samuel had long since sent a Dog of War to watch Michaels movements. And it proved worth it.
