Prologue

In the emptiness of the void, seven giant demons were engaged in an intense battle, trading blows with every passing moment. They moved about in the vast space as they fought dealing devastating damage to each other as they fought.

One of them was a giant phoenix, roaring as it set the entire space ablaze with golden red flames. Its every move carried endless might, the very void burning just from the temperature surrounding it.

At this point, a tiger demon, as large as a planet, pounced at the phoenix. The phoenix spewed flames at it, burning the tiger demon's fur as it leapt through the flame instead of retreating from the terrifying flames.

The phoenix was caught off guard by this self-destructive tactic, hurriedly raising its wings to form a wall of golden red feathers around it. The golden red feathers released a hot, golden red aura, forming a wall around it. Upon closer inspection, the wall seemed to be a raging barrier conjured from the phoenix's flames.

The tiger continued forward decisively, its claws piercing through the wall of flames, before piercing through the phoenix's feathers. A colossal rain of blood poured from the phoenix's damaged wings, every drop of blood was a shining golden red in color, burning the void wherever it fell and containing endless life force, The phoenix let out a great scream, as it attempted to retreat.

The tiger demon was faring no better. The dazzling white fur on its body had been charred black in its entirety. It let out a pained roar, before pouncing at the phoenix without hesitation, grabbing straight at its neck before chomping down hard, causing another rain of blood throughout the void.

At this point, the phoenix, drowned in despair, gave itself over completely to its rage and immolated itself, burning with even hotter flames, causing the tiger demon to flee in a hurry, with most of its flesh burned to the bone. It gave a miserable shriek, right before a massive azure claw swept out of nowhere, decapitating the tiger demon immediately. At the same time, a humongous spray of water covered the phoenix's burning body. However, the water was vaporized before even reaching the phoenix's body.

A divine dragon descended near the tiger demon's decapitated corpse, gazing coldly at a giant Kun Peng approaching him at breakneck speeds, tunnelling through the void.

Meanwhile, the flaming phoenix, on its last legs and seemingly about to perish, set its eyes on a giant Xuanwu across it. Meanwhile, a humongous Qilin was battling a nine tailed fox as its nine tails flew about in the void, shattering the dimension with every movement.

With the white tiger demon taken out of the equation, only six remained, of which, the phoenix was on its last legs, having used such a self-destructive attack, it was only a matter of time before the Xuanwu, with its mastery of the water element, decimated its flames.

The dragon grimaced as it saw this state of affairs. It looked at the massive planet in the distance with hesitation. That planet had appeared out of nowhere just recently, causing a commotion among the demon world that occupied this region of space. The seven demon Emperors, strongest of the demon race, sensed something extraordinary from it, an opportunity to finally break through their current plane, which had been the demon race's limit for eons.

Unable to resist, they immediately set their sights on obtaining it. There didn't seem to be any defenses surrounding the planet, thus there was no reason for cooperation. A new demon Emperor above the rest would arise from the battle for this planet, and there would most certainly not be another.

As a result, they left the demon world to avoid destroying it, and started to battle in the void. The four mythical divine beasts, the azure dragon, the white tiger, the phoenix and the Xuanwu were renowned as the strongest demon race bloodlines, and their Emperors were the four strongest and oldest Emperors of the demon race. Yet this was also a huge problem, since these races, due to the law of the jungle in the demon world, would often clash head on with each other, causing numerous losses. Severe grudges had built up between the four races through the eons, although upper-level experts usually stayed their hand, so as to avoid an extinction level incident.

As such, this was the first true showdown between the four Emperors, and the white tiger, in accordance with its natural instincts, took the initiative to strike as an apex predator. The battle between the two Emperors was only the beginning of this grand war, but the fact remained that the Xuanwu was now fighting a near dead phoenix, and as soon as he was done, he would come to eliminate his final rival, the Azure Dagon, who just so happened to be tangled up by the ultra-fast Kun Peng skilled in space, who could use his spatial abilities to seal the Azure dragon's movements.

Therefore, the moment Xuanwu was done with phoenix, he and the Kun Peng Emperor could unite to kill the Azure Dragon Emperor, before setting their sights on the nine tailed fox Emperor and Qilin Emperor.

From the looks of it, Qilin Emperor and Fox Emperor hadn't realised this, and were fighting to kill. It seems the duo of Kun Peng Emperor and Xuanwu Emperor would be the ones left in the end, deciding the mysterious planet's possession.

The Dragon Emperor, despite being a demon, was revered for his wisdom. As such, he could see through their schemes in merely an instant, and took action decisively.

The illusory form of several trees rose up forming a dense forest filled with towering trees that spread their branches and roots outwards, sealing the space, hindering the Kun Peng's speed. The Kun Peng wasn't one of the four divine beasts, as such, it's combat power was significantly lower compared to the Azure Dragon. However, it could use its spatial divine abilities to control the fight, as long as Azure Dragon Emperor couldn't land a hit.
