This general was from a faction of the army that was opposed to the emperor and so he can send his troop without first asking the emperor, the commander of that troop was surprised to see that even with fewer soldiers the troop of Zhang Feng had few losses and can still kill thousands of enemy soldiers.

He naturally knew that Zhang Feng was an elite soldier who should have become a general long ago and was respected by the other generals for that, but this commander calculated that even if his general was in the situation where Zhang Feng was not could do as well as he did.
