32 Myriad fierce beast formation

Day 7 of 11th month. Also known as they last day of the Yearly Sect Recruitments.

As of now, many people are already considered as a Service Disciple of their chosen sect. There's 40 people who are already became an Outer Disciple just by participating in this contest. This is also the day when the top 10 contestant would be chosen and would be accepted as an Inner Disciple. Five of those people would receive a Foundation Condensing Pill and the 1st place would receive an Earth-Tier Ki Manual.

Just like yesterday, the whole arena is packed with people. Many people are wildly anticipating on what's going to be the ending for this battle. Almost all of the people placed their bets on their favorite contestant. The one that had the highest bets was of course, Xu Qing. Many people are actually certain of her win for today. But of course there's also those people who don't agree. Specially the ones who became Sieg's fans, they placed their bet on the 'White Haired Boy', this is the name they gave him since they don't know his name up until now. Even though that's the case, their admiration and reverence could be shown just by this action.

None of these were known by Sieg though.

And even though he did, he wouldn't know how to react. After all he is not used to getting people's attention. The attention he got from his previous battles are actually more than what he got compared to what they've given him from the past 14 years of his life. The people he had a pleasant contact with could still be counted on one hand, and there were a few people that wanted him dead.

Sieg was once again inside the resting room like the others, there are only five of them here since Xu Qing is staying inside the City Lord's Mansion since she is the City Lord's niece. All of them however have pretty solemn faces, well there was a 'bit' on Sieg's face. In the end, what's supposed to happen will happen, if Sieg won, then good. If he don't, then he could always learn an Earth-tier, or even higher tier, Ki manual in the sect, so right now, there wasn't a huge pressure to him.

After about an hour of waiting, the time had finally come. The announcer's footsteps could be heard inside the resting room. However, this time he didn't have that 'Randomizer' thingy. He just stood in front of the contestants, face filled with anticipation and excitement.

"I won't say unnecessary things. The round would be different compared to the past few days. As you could see, inside the arena is a huge formation. That is the 'Myriad Fierce Beast Formation'. Inside the said formation is an area filled with Fierce Beasts, your task is to kill as many of them as possible in under 2 hours. After the 2 hours is done, you will be automatically teleported out of the formation. Simple right?"

"I would impart new badges to you. These badges would monitor the number of beasts you killed so far and your placing in the top 5 rankings. Please note that the badge would only show your rank and the amount of beasts that you killed, not the result of other people. This means that you all would still be competing against each other inside the formation."

"Please be careful as well, this formation could possibly kill you. If you came into a situation that you cannot handle, just shout the words: 'I'm done!' And you would be teleported out, whatever the amount of beast you killed inside would be shown in your badge. Understood?"

Everyone nodded in agreement, the moment of truth already came, their heart tightened a bit upon knowing that their round could threaten their lives but calmed down since having a heavy heart would only detriment their resolve.

*Ting!*

"Everyone! Please step into the stage. Remember, if you can't hold on anymore, shout the words to be teleported out okay? As long as there is life, there is hope. Don't risk your life for something that you could have in the future okay?"

All of the nodded their heads and felt the warmth of the announcer's word. They kept this in mind and stepped inside the stage, and as soon as they did, their bodies were covered with a brilliant light and disappeared from sight.

The audience are now breathing heavily, maybe it was because of nervousness, excitement, anticipation and many more things but most importantly, they could now see how these people would act if they are faced with a life and death situation.

Six massive screens are now floating side by side on top of the arena. These screens are now showing the live feed of the situation of the contestants inside. Some people were teleported in the middle of the dessert, others are teleported in the middle of a jungle, there's also one who's teleported in front of a massive cave.

Sieg was teleported a steep cliff, overlooking a dense forest below it. He was shocked because he never expected to be teleported in this type place. Instead of surveying the area however, Sieg chose to sit down and meditate. He was feeling a bit weird when he was being teleported, he felt some sort of dizziness and his ki reserves are acting wildly. He had a hunch of what could've possibly caused this but never made any real actions to stop it. He just sat down and meditated while the rest of his competitors are hunting.

Outside the array.

Many people stared at the six massive screens that are floating on top of the arena. The screen would flash if a certain contestant is fighting a Fierce Beast making it very easy for the crowd to gather their attention to.

The crowd could also see who's on the specific screen since the contestants are visible. 10 minutes had passed already since the contestants entered the formation. People could also see their rankings since it is shown just beside their respective screen.

"As expected of Lady Xu Qing, graceful and elegant even under pressure." An admirer said in a sigh.

"Well, this is Lady Xu Qing after all. She's not only beautiful but also strong . Just like my type of woman."

"If I could just spend one night with her, I would be extremely happy."

"Wake up fool. People like us stood no chance, just be happy that you can admire her from afar."

Conversations of Xu Qing's admirers could be heard basically everywhere in the crowd. There is also some people who are talking about the other contestants too.

"Look, that's Gao Yu, I still can't believe he managed to enter the final round!"

"Yeah, people without any significant backgrounds tend to be pushovers but not him. He climbed his way up from the dirt. Very admirable."

"However he's facing such a lot formidable opponents now. I think his chances of getting the first place is extremely low."

"I agree as well. But even so, being an Inner Disciple is an impressive feat for someone like him. So I think we should be satisfied as well."

"On the other screen there's young master Gu Tian. Did you hear the recent rumors about him?"

"Yeah, it seems like he had an eye for another woman, how many did he have anyway?"

"Well he have 6 of them, it seems like the 7th would come pretty soon."

"What a guy though. If he can't have them then no one can."

Hearing this warning, the people who are talking about a guy named Gu Tian stopped speaking. They instead moved their focus to someone else.

"Oh? It seems like Lin Fang met a beast. Is that a Six Winged Vulture?"

"Yeah seems like so? That beast met a wrong person today."

"Yeah, that bird is done for."

As the crowd discussed, the person named Lin Fang drew an item from his storage bag. It was a bow that's made of a Spring Tungsten, an extremely durable yet flexible metal. He drew an arrow and assumed a stance, after a few moments of calculation, he fired of the shot and it travelled whistling through the air. The arrow met it's target piercing the vulture's head off from it's body.

"Yep, just like that, the head is gone."

"Giving him the title of a 'Young Hunter' really suits him."

"I agree!"

"It seems like Ye Han is also on the move! Look at him, he fiercer than these Fierce Beasts!" An admirer of Ye Han exclaimed.

Although Sieg managed to beat Ye Han, he wasn't out of the competition since he was a wild card, and demoted to the last place after that round. He managed to recover in time to fight another battle and he won, making him a part of the final battle. So far, he already hunted 10 beasts and fifteen minutes barely passed.

Everytime he saw a Fierce Beast, he would pounce at them with wild ferocity and violently beat them up dead. This was his style eversince, and because he is a Body Refiner, every punch and kicks that he made carries a heavy weight which somewhat unbearable for the Fierce Beasts.

"Eh? Look at this guy? Why isn't he hunting?" One random guys pointed his finger at Seig. This caused quite a commotion and a lot of people started looking at his the screen he pointed out.

They saw Sieg peacefully sitting down in meditation while the other people are fighting like their lives were on the line, this scene caused a wave of disdain to appear in the crowd.

"Maybe he got incredibly scared to the point of not being able to move."

"Maybe he's planning on staying there until the whole two hours passed. I think he just want to maintain face that's why he entered."

"What an idiot, maybe he doesn't know that we can see him."

"And here I thought he was strong, what a let down."

And of course, there's also some people who defended him despite of this.

"Hmph, what a bunch of retards. You just run off those filthy mouths of your because of jealousy. If you're really that much of an attention whore then why don't you step inside as well?"

"Yeah that's right! Why don't you go instead of him?! Oh wait! You can't cause you guys are the same people who ran away with their tails tucked behind their legs during the 1st part of the recruitments."

"Hahaha! Heard that guys? These people are just a bunch of useless idiots!"

"Yeah yeah! Useless idiots! Get lost with your ugly faces already! You don't even have at least half of that guy's strength and you dare to look down on him? What is that stupid concept?"

Hails of painful insults drowned those who just spoken, they wanted to retort but they can't. What do they say back anyways? These people were right, they gave up on the first sight of trouble yet they disdain someone who faced and returned alive from it, even they felt bad realizing this fact.

Sieg was clueless about all of this, his situation is pretty sensitive right now. His Ki flow is very chaotic right now and he was in pain. His spiritual energies are also stirring up and becoming restless. Sieg felt like he was being pricked by countless of needles throughout his whole body. His legs are becoming numb and there is a painful sensation in his stomach.

He was grounding his teeth to hold on, if he wanted to, he could've already put a stop to this pain yet he didn't. He only to exert a bit of an 'influence' to this chaotic energies to stop them he didn't do it this as well. And of course since it is Sieg that we're talking about, there is a reason for all of this, and that is...

He was about to breakthrough to Peak 9th Step of Awakening Realm.
