28 Long hao's report

"Junior! You dare!!!" A furious voice can be heard inside the area, many people were startled by that voice, some even coughed out blood since that voice carried a powerful Earth Rank Foundation. Sieg looked at the person who shouted.
He was wearing a similar colored robe like Jiang Chen, his head was filled with white hair, and he was currently emitting a very fierce killing intent.
"F-father, sa-*cough*-ve me…"
"Chen'er!" Sieg's guess was right, this was the clan head of Jiang Family and father to Jiang Chen. With his interruption, Sieg's dispersed his attack and let Jiang Chen fall to the arena with a loud bang. He had to admit that he got a bit riled up and nearly killed Jiang Chen, it seems like his pride is a bit too steep.
Jiang Chen's father quickly rushed forward and grabbed his child, he probed his child's condition and heaved a sigh of relief. Jiang Chen just lost consciousness due to overdrawing his life force and emptying his ki reserves, nonetheless he could still recover. However, a wrath of a parent knows no bounds, his aura exploded and charged towards Sieg. And since he was already expecting this event would happen he immediately showed his ferociousness, he didn't back down and actually prepared to meet Jiang Chen's father head on. It wasn't until a blurry shadow appeared in front of Sieg.

The whole arena shook, all of the people inside jumped out of fright, a thick dust covered the entire arena preventing anyone to see what's really happening inside.
After a few moments the dust finally settled and the whole scenario was shown to the public. Jiang Chen's father is lying on the ground face flat and there was a huge foot stepping on his head. This foot belonged to a tall and dark-skinned man who is like a towering giant that had his hands crossed in his chest. His aura was fully exposed nearly suffocating everyone including Sieg, he was at Peak Rank Earth Foundation Realm.
"It seems like you really don't plan on giving me or the City Lord any face huh? Jiang Futian?" He said as he added more force into his foot causing Jiang Futian's face to be buried even further. A grunt can be heard from him, he was incredibly ashamed, furious, and pathetic like his son right now. As someone of his age, losing his temper like this is not proper since he was shouldering the title of a clan head.
Now the whole Jiang Clan would be a laughingstock inside the Great Blue Carp City, his son showed a despicable attitude in battle yet was still badly beaten up, on top of all this, he attacked a junior who's not even half of his age from the looks of it and was also beaten up by someone whom he completely disregarded. He felt like crying, why did he have to be so impulsive?
Long Hao turned his head and looked at Sieg who is completely relaxed right now, if everyone could see him right now, they won't be able to tell that literally just a second ago, his life was in danger.
"You good young man?" Long Hao asked him.
Sieg clasped his hand, saluted Long Hao and said: "Yes, I thank Senior for rushing to my aid."
"No, We should be the one who had to apologize." His turned around, looked at the pathetic father and son and said; "It seems like people are forgetting that this is the City Lord's Mansion not their yard. Men! Grab these two fuckers, send the young one back home and lock up this old thing. I will personally handle him!"
"Yes sir!" Ten city guards appeared like ghosts upon the orders of General Long Hao, they dragged the two frail bodies away from the arena, Sieg and Long Hao left standing inside the arena after that.
"Referee, announce the winner." Long Hao calmly stated and he disappeared from sight, since his purpose was done, there was no reason for him to stay any longer. The referee woke up from his stupor and immediately said:
"Winner of the match! Badge Number 80!" As he announced the results, the whole arena was still silent. Their faces looked shocked and they still couldn't digest what had happen, one moment this white haired boy was being looked down upon by everyone and then this person received what they deemed an unbeatable attack. Not only that, he also violently beaten up the 'Son of Heaven' that they adored for the longest of time to the point of death. His father appeared and attacked the white haired boy but then unexpectedly, General Long Hao was watching the match and stomped Jiang Futian's face like stepping on ant.
All of these events happened too fast that, they can't believe that it even happened. Sieg disregarded all of these, he bowed towards the direction of Long Hao and towards the referee, then he stepped down to the arena and made his way towards the resting area. Though he didn't used much of his Ki Reserves, the threat of Jiang Chen's father left an impression to him. If it weren't for him being sensitive towards his surroundings, he wouldn't know that Long Hao is there watching over the competition. This is also part of the reason why he didn't backed down to Jiang Futian's attack.
In fact, not only Long Hao was there, but also the City Lord and the Four Sect Directors. They are all watching over this competition, their presence are just hidden from the public that's why everyone was surprised that Long Hao suddenly appeared.
He ignored the strange gazes of the people inside the resting area and found a nice and comfortable spot to sit and ponder. To be totally honest, he wasn't that satisfied in that battle.
Everyone was born harmless, it is just the nature and their surroundings that's changing them. Sieg was the same, compared to the people he faced so far, he can't be considered 'arrogant'. Arrogant people talked and acted more than what they can do, and if they mistakenly 'kicked and iron plate' everything would be over for them. Sieg never acted like that, he knew his place and understood himself very well, he was just reciprocating what he received.
He is a kind and intelligent young man but the doesn't mean that is a pushover. If someone stepped on him, he bites back, and he bites big.

Inside the City Lord's Mansion, in a round table sat five people, they all wear different kind of clothing, there were four men and a woman and they are all watching a screen which shows what's happening in the battles.
"It looks like some people are getting a bit confident nowadays." An old man wearing a dark red robes said in a cold tone. He is the Sect Director of Godly Altar Sect, Meng Tian.
"Well, they might be a bit uneasy since we just suffered an attack with such a large beast horde." This time a man wearing tight fitting beast skin said, this is the Sect Director of Heavenly Beast Sect, Xu Zhen.
"Well, Jiang Futian can't be blamed though, his son nearly died." This is the Sect Director of Millenium Star Sect, Nangnong Shen.
"His son have nasty personality anyway, a 'Son of Heaven'? Only an idiot who doesn't know the immensity of heaven and earth would claim that title. It was karma that did that to him, and his stupidity, nothing more." The only woman in the round table spoke and didn't filter her words. She is the Sect Director for the Freezing Sky Sect, Mu Qingyin.
"I've let you see a very embarrassing scene, I hope fellow daoists don't mind." The man who spoke was the City Lord Bai Wentian, behind him is General Long Hao who's standing with a stoned face.
"Of course we don't, this sort of thing doesn't only happen in here but practically everywhere even back at our homes." Meng Tian said in plain tone. The other people around him nodded in agreement.
"Still, this sort of tournament is nice, we should do this often." Nangnong Shen said in an excited manner.
"I support Sect Director Nangnong's idea, looking for prospects in this way is more entertaining." Meng Tian said while nodding.
"Well if fellow daoists wanted to we can always discuss this idea anytime, I'll make sure that the rules would be stricter next time around."
"I believe that the temptation of an Earth-Rank Ki Manual is very tempting for them, if we don't plan this carefully the city might overload due to the amount of people storming in to participate." Mu Qingyin said.
The five people are already discussing the rules and rewards for the next yearly sect recruitment. Since the competition for the first and second round was done today, the third round would continue tomorrow.
"Fellow Daoists, I believe that I should let you know of the other purpose as to why I called you here." City Lord said. The four sect directors was a bit startled by this announcement of the City Lord, they didn't expected that there is another purpose of them coming here aside from watching the competition and a little chat.
Knowing that he got the four's attention, City Lord Bai didn't speak but just showed something. It was a carcass, but this carcass emitted a very powerful aura when it was released. This is a carcass of a high leveled Demonic Beast.
"Unbelievable!" Sect Director Xu Zhen exclaimed; "This is a Three-Faced Spider, one of most poisonous beast the ever existed! This one looked like it's alive for at least 500 years now! How did you came into such beast City Lord?"
Inside this room, the one that have plenty amount of knowledge when it comes to beasts is him, being the Sect Director of Heavenly Beast Sect made him knowledgable towards them at a very young age.
"It wasn't me but Long Hao who encountered it, the beast was already dead when he found it but this carcass is not the reason why I asked fellow daoists to come over, it is about the place where Long Hao saw it…" Seeing the solemn face of the city lord made the others uneasy, they tried hard to guess what is it but they can't remember anything.
"When the beast horde attacked, I already thought that something was amiss. After all, how could a beast horde of 100,000 size attack a city? This size is only normal for Holy Lands, and this city is fairly hidden to the point where we only experienced attacks once a year, but this the third attack this year and I doubt that this will be the last."
The atmosphere around the room dropped, the four directors also pondered ans thought for a bit, the city lord then continued:
"So I assigned a task to Long Hao that he needed to weaken a demonic beast to retreat and follow it. Long Hao, report your findings."
"Yes City Lord!" Long Hao saluted and faced the other people, he brought out a recording of something and played in front of them.
"This place is wilderness beyond Dark Bamboo Forest, it is called Hollowed Reaches. This wilderness spanned for at least 50 kilometers which is five times the size of Dark Bamboo Forest. It is filled with ghastly things inside and this carcass is only one of those. Beasts like Iron Lizard, Three-Legged Crow, Ghastly Toad, Four Colored Serpent, Frost Blaze Lion and even a Metal Armored Bear appeared.
The four of them are shocked, they never heard of this forest eversince coming here, and what's worst, the beasts that Long Hao named are Demonic Beasts that at least Peak Mortal Foundation Realm, the recorder also shows the other beasts that Long Hao didn't knew which was pointed out by Xu Shen.
Then something different happened, the scene showed the Long Hao came across into some sort of a barrier, it was at least two or three kilometers long and was filled with complicated array that was included into a large 'Formation', Long Hao tried going in but he failed since he was discovered by a large pack of monsters and his knowledge about formations are insufficient. The recording ended in there.
"I happen to know have knowledge in this specific formation City Lord, it is the 'Demonic Sacrificial Grand Formation'. This is a very sinister formation since it requires living humans as a sacrifice to sustain itself, this formation is used by demonic cultivators that wanted to hide important inheritances." Nangnong Shen spoke gravely, he didn't liked what he saw so far. This place is an absolute nightmare for anyone.
"I can also feel that the atmosphere is filled with Ghost Yin Energy which can freeze a mammoth whole in under five minutes." This time it is Mu Qingyin who spoke.
"I am already informed about this everyone, but my concern is the peace of my City. This place however reminded me of an old tale that my father used to tell when I was a kid." The City Lord's face went even grimmer as he spoke. "I actually don't want you guys to know but I guess I need to put the safety of my City First."
"My father used to tell me about the Tale of Ghost Emperor Duan Zheng…"
As these words escaped City Lord's mouth, the four sect directors were left shaking.
