2 Injured Man

Sieg was again by lake, of course just like before it's taking him too long to catch one. His mood however was tranquil, this type of scenarios are a staple in his life. It happened way too frequent that it became normal for him to be like this. His mind wandered off to a distant past, he recalled some his memories with Fey, he asked too many questions to himself which are still have unknown answers for him up until this day, and he would gaze at his fishing rod from time to time so that he can see if any fish is eyeing on his bait at all.

Hour passed like this, eventually he got what he wanted so he stood up and made his way to his lodging. It's just a simple hut, every time he come home a wave of nostalgia would hit him because he and Fey made this hut, this the place where they would meet and talk about things almost everyday, now however he's the only one using it since Fey's gone and he was banished in the city.

The interior of the hut in fact was not bad, one could really tell that this place was made for relaxation since the ventillations were not bad even if you close the doors and windows, there's also a lot of sheets that are made from pure cotton, the pillows too are all made from cotton. Sieg learned some tailoring from Fey before and the bed, sheets and pillows that he used was made by him. The hut wasn't that big so it only has two rooms which separates the bedroom and the others. They also made a comfort room since Fey was ever so self-concious, and also a ladder that they can use to climb on top the hut for star gazing at night.

Sieg immediately started to cook, he was far too hungry right now since it took him a little bit lomger to catch a fish, but the good thing is, the fish was big so he doesn't need to go fishing again this night. After some time he finished cooking and ate lunch, he placed some in a container so that it can remain some of it's freshness for later.

Sieg then went to his bedroom, there he the black lump of something again, he studied this thing yesterday but still can't find out what it's made of. Strangely though, whenever he gaze upon it, it would bring him calmness, and not a normal type of calmness at that, as for what it is he can't put a finger on it just yet. Another thing is that the lump of metal/rock helped him fall asleep faster and prevents him from having any dreams, well, he's not a hundred percent sure if it was really the case but he guessed that it is.

The day after is a bit different, on the way to the lake he found a dead boar, which strangely convinient, but after thinking for a bit he realized that there's no use on guessing so much, he just silently whispered his thanks and dragged the whole thing back home. Thankfully he knew how to properly butcher a boar, living in the wilds definitely has it's own advantages, with this boar he will no longer have to fish for quite some time.

After finishing, he went a top of the hut and sat cross-legged and began his daily breathing exercise, he doesn't have much hope for today but he's doing it anyway, one because there might be some miracle that could happen and two, because it was been a part of his daily life already and it would definitely bother him if he didn't do so and he would find it hard to sleep.

However, as he was on the middle of the exercise a loud crashing sound can be heard not far from him, it sounded like countless of twigs were being split at a very fast motion. His eyes snapped wide open and looked over the area where the sound came from, he hesitated for bit and decided to might as well check it out, if in any cases that a fight is happening then he would just turn around and flee.

Sieg was shocked as he saw some aftermaths of the crasing sound heard, there he saw many damaged trees and the ground caved in, it looks like someone or something big was dragged, and it was certainly heavy causing the soil to cave in while it's being dragged. The farther he go, the more shocked he was because of how far the thing was dragged, what he saw next however sent his mouth agape.

Up ahead is a huge crater, Sieg can clearly remember that there was no such crater like this in past since he already lived here for almost ten years, looking further at the crater Sieg saw a man practically drenched in blood. His insides suddenly contorted, this was the first time the he saw such a scene like this, the man's wounds were so deep that one could almost see the bone inside, one of the man's legs looked like it was twisted violently causing some bones to pop out form it, the whole person was literally bathing with blood. Sieg can't tolerate it anymore and puked, from now on this scene branded to the very depth of his being, he can almost see the nightmares already.

"Hmm?" Sieg's eyes flickered, "I could've sworn i saw a movemen-There! H-he's still alive!! What do i do? What do i do?" Sieg was obviously panicking, he's beyond terrified but at the same time, he couldn't just turn blind eyes to the poor man's situation.

He forcefully calmed himself down, taking in couple of deep breaths before crouching down and observing the man's situation, he checked his pulse and his eyes immediately brightened. "His vitality is still this strong despite this condition?! Almost all of his bones are shattered, i don't have anything in hand to carry him properly. Even a piggyback ride might hurt him big time, i'll just treat his wounds right now." Making this decision, he immediately ran away full speed towards some corners of the forest to gather some leaves that can be used for first aid. After some time he went back to the pit and sqeezed some juices from the leaves he gathered, he grabbed the man's jaw and gently fed him the juices from those leaves. Afterwards he kneaded the left over leaves and added some rare flowers and roots…

"If you can hear me good, if not fine. I'm going to apply some ointment i made all over the wounds in your body, this would sting really bad so just grit your teeth for a moment." Sieg did not say everything though, considering that the man is literally filled with wounds, what he would feel was not just a mere sting, it would obviously be so painful that the man might even fainf from it.

He applied the ointment, as he observed the man he saw that his face was frowning, clearly because he felt the stinging sensation from the wound that has ointment in it. Sieg didn't stop, he applied oimtment all over the man's body and covered it with leaf and bandaged it using strips form his clothes. Half hour passed and he finished covering every wound that he saw. There were no more bleeding, and the man was already resting well. After another half hour of waiting, Sieg thought it is now time to carry the man back to his home.

The ointment that he made does not only stop the bleeding, it also influences the injury to recover more quickly, it can only numb it after an hour it was applied. This was one of the few tricks that Sieg himself learned on his own. Due to his familliarity within the forest and countless of experimentations here and there he could make simplified medicines or pain relievers. This is some of the skills Sieg is confident about, sure he had no proper education about them and don't even know the names of the majority of those he use, still it doesn't change the fact that he could cure a person.

Carrying the man was such a pain in the ass for Sieg, he was heavy…so heavy that Sieg felt that he was carrying a mountain, from the distance where he found the man to his hut was not far. In fact it would only take him fifteen minutes just to get there, but because of the man's weight, that fifteen minutes turned into an hour of constant dragging and rests in between. He can't believe that he was too heavy, and he even dared to think that he wanted give him a piggyback ride back home, he can only laugh bitterly at the idea.

After a lot of struggle he finally reached his hut with the injured man, he left him to recuperate in his own room and decided to sleep at the recieving area of the hut, he had a lot of unused cotton in one of his drawers, he just stuffed them into a pillow case and bedsheet that he found and he slept soundly. It was only afternoon yet he was tired beyond belief, he didn't had the energy to prepare a meal for himself therefore he chose to rest a this moment and he knew that when he wake up it would be the next day already.

"Urk!!!" A pained groan can be heard inside Sieg's room. It came from the injured man that he saved earlier. Then man opened his eyes with a struggle and took a glance at his surroundings, he saw the plain woods and some gaps in between from the ceiling, he also felt that he his body was very comfortable that he felt like he was lying on clouds, the air flowed in very very gentle way and is unimpeded.

Next he paid attention to his body, upon doing so his pupils constricted in shock. He remembered the fight that erupted before he lost conciousness, it was a very grim situation for him, he can remember the wounds that his enemies inflicted on him yet if he didn't paid attention to his body he would remeber any of that since he can't even feel those wounds anymore, in fact due to his regenerative ability all of those wounds are now completely healed.

That's also the time that he remembered hearing things like "…hear me good… grit your teeth…" or something like that. He was now pretty sure that it was his saviour that he heard. He clicked his toungue and attempted to sit down, as he did he suddely tasted something in his mouth. It tasted like a dew from a sugar cane yet it also left a menthol aftertaste. His entire body shook and an expression of disbelief could be seen in his face…

"Sweet Spring Wind Dew! One of the lost ancient life saving first aids! It only takes one drop of the said dew to send a person's immune system to strengthen by ten times and will last for three days! The records said that it taste sweet upon entering the mouth and will leave a cool menthol taste upon swallowing, it is also said that one could tell that the medicine is already in effect it the taste of the merges in one's mouth! Heavens! What type of person was my saviour?" The man's eyes glittered with exitement, he found the strength to sit up and took a glance at the bandages that he had.

He slowly unfurled one, and he saw a tiny yellow leaf, under the yellow leaf are some blue-ish type of crumbling dirt, the man frowned as he thought that this were scars from the fight he went earlier and it turned blue but when he saw it crumbled away showing a his perfectly fine skin, which has no scar or even a scratch, like it was never been wounded in the first place, his eyes widened again…
