20 Chapter 20: Going to the training grounds

The night passed away peacefully without any interruption.

Lucius was still sleeping soundly on the soft bed, even though rays of sunlight were falling on his face.

Lucius' eyes began to twitch as rays of light fell on his eyes. A few seconds later, he abruptly opened his eyes.

"It's morning already huh" Lucius mumbled as he looked at a corner in the curtains where rays of light were coming from.

He got up and rubbed his eyes. He stretched out his two hands.

"I should get ready, I must reach the training grounds by 8:30 am to have a duel with Teacher Aaron," Lucius remarked as threw the blanket away and got off his bed.

Lucius walked towards a table that had a drawer, he opened up the drawer. There was a small clock inside the drawer which was no more than a 4 cm in radius.

Lucius picked up the small clock that was lying there. He removed the cover and took a look.

"Hmm, it's 6:00 am, I have plenty of time. I should take a bath before heading out" Lucius mumbled.

He walked towards his cupboard, he took out some clothes from it. After that, he went directly inside the bathroom to freshen up.

A few minutes later.

Lucius had walked out of the bathroom after a few minutes while wearing new clothes.

"Ok done, now I should head towards. Everyone should be awake by now" Lucius mumbled.

Lucius picked up his sword which was lying on the ground, he put the sword around his waist. He headed towards the door, he opened the door when he was close enough.

He spotted the dining table, the moment he opened his door. A middle-aged man and a young girl were sitting in one of the chairs.

Lucius turned his gaze towards the kitchen and spotted his mom.

"As expected, everyone is awake" Lucius thought to himself.He walked towards the dining table, and when he was close enough, he sat down in one of the chairs.

"Did you sleep well, son"? Albin asked Lucius as he read the newspaper.

"Yes," Lucius replied.

"I heard that you are going to have a little spar with Aaron today. When are you heading out?" Albin asked Lucius.

"Right after I have breakfast I will head out," Lucius replied.

Albin just nodded his head and kept reading the newspaper. Emma on the other hand was silently waiting for breakfast to be served.

Lucius also silently waited for the food to be severe. A few minutes later, Lucius saw Carla walking towards them with food in her hand.

"Breakfast is ready everyone," Carla said as she began to serve the food to everyone.

Albin kept the newspaper at the side a few seconds later as he began to eat. Lucius and others also began to eat. Carla also sat down and had breakfast with them.

Lucius was done eating a few minutes later, he stood up walked towards the basin, and washed his hands. He dried his hand by wiping it with a towel.

"I should head out now," Lucius mumbled.

Just as he was about to head out, Lucius remembered something important.

"I almost forgot about this. Tomorrow, Zoe, Luca, and Xin are coming here. I should tell this to my parents so that they aren't shocked by the visit of the provides of the kingdom. " Lucius thought to himself.Lucius looked at the time on the watch.

"It's only 7, I have plenty of time left. I will tell them about the visit of Zoe, Xin, and Luca right now so that there isn't any confusion tomorrow" Lucius mumbled under his breath.

Lucius walked towards the dining table where the others were still eating. Lucius was the first one to finish eating since he was in a hurry to leave.

"Lucius, are you heading out now?" Carla asked Lucius.

Lucius shook his head as he sat down on one of the chairs.

"Not now, regardless I have to tell you guys something" Lucius exclaimed, his voice carrying nervousness.

"Don't hesitate, tell us whatever you want," Carla said to him.

"I hope that they don't think that Zoe is my girlfriend. They always think like this whenever a girl comes to meet me" Lucius thought to himself.Lucius took a deep breath before he proceeded to tell them about this.

"You see, it's like this" Lucius said as he started to explain everything that happened between him and Zoe.

As Lucius narrates what happened between Zoe and him, the eyes of Carla and Albin widen in disbelief.

"This is all that happened between us. Now she is coming to our house to ask a favor from me" Lucius was done explaining.

There was complete silence in the room for the next few minutes. Even Emma didn't say anything. Albin was the first one to break the awkward silence.

"Son, I'm impressed by how you've managed to become friends with the young mistress of the Ice Clan branch in the Moonlight Kingdom. I must say, I'm proud." Albin said to him, his voice carrying happiness.

Around 65 percent of the strongest elemental mages belong to Great Clans. There are five great clans in the human domain, the Great Flame Clan, Great Water Clan, Great Earth Clan, Great Lighting Clan, and Great Ice Clan. Each of these five great clans has a branch in every single Kingdom.

The main branch of the Five Great Clans is located in the Divine Kingdom, the capital of the human domain.

"Why is he feeling proud?" Lucius wondered.

Seeing Lucius' confused face, LAlbin replied with a smile.

"I am proud because you can catch the eyes of the progdies of the kingdom due to your talent," Albin said to Lucius with a smile.

Lucius just nodded his head when he heard that, slight

"I will leave now or else, I will get late for the spar" Lucius replied as he got up.

"Bye big bro," Emma said, her cheerful voice resounding through the entire place.

Lucius walked towards the gate slowly. He opened the door a few seconds later.

He stepped outside, the moment he opened the door. He was greeted by the scene of the busy streets of the city.

There were hundreds upon hundreds of people walking in the streets. Divinity could be seen patrolling the surrounding streets.

Tall buildings which were usually in white or brown color could be seen everywhere he looked. Lucius diverted his attention from his surroundings.

"Let's head towards the training grounds of Divinity" Lucius thought to himself.He began to walk towards the training grounds, people would occasionally glance at his Divine badge.

Lucius kept walking towards the training ground without stopping. Half an hour later, Lucius looked in front of him with great attention.

"I have reached the training ground, so I just have to enter" Lucius mumbled as he looked in front of him.

Walls which were dozens of meters tall stood in front of Lucius blocking his vision completely. The walls were made up of ancient-looking brown brick with golden lining.

There was a big gate between the magnificent tall walls that was oval. The gate was made up of black rods.

Lucius spotted 6 Divinity standing near the gate, a powerful aura was being emitted from them which caused Lucius's face to pale.

"Let's enter the training grounds" Lucius exclaimed as he started to walk towards the gate.

Lucius ignored the pressure and kept walking towards the gate.

"Halt your steps Lucius" A guard commanded Lucius when he was a few cm away from the gate.

Lucius didn't disobey, he quietly stopped walking, there seemed to be a mocking look on his face as he looked at the guards.

"Why did you stop me? I just want to enter the training grounds you know" Lucius asked the guard

"You should know the rules by now Lucius that unless a full-fledged Divinity is...." The guard stopped speaking when he saw a shining badge on Lucius' chest.

"That thatt badgee…" The guard mumbled in disbelief.

"This badge is the Divine Badge, proof that I am a full-fledged Divinity. Seniors, can you please let me enter the training grounds" Lucius exclaimed, a smile could be seen on his face.

The guards, whose eyes widened in disbelief, became normal when Lucius requested to enter the training grounds.

"You can enter" The guard exclaimed as he signaled to open the gate, the look of disbelief was still visible on their face.

The closed gate opened widely, waiting for Lucius to enter.

"Thank you" Lucius replied as he began to walk towards the gate.
