17 Chapter 17: The secret

A few seconds later, Lucius wiped off the tears that were streaming down his face. He stared at the stunned Aaron for the next few seconds until he remembered something.

"Oh sorry, I forgot to greet you in the midst of this" Lucius apologized as he lowered his head.

He lowered his head slightly.

"I greet the teacher and senior Divinity Aaron" Lucius greeted him.

"Rise" Aaron commanded him as he walked towards him.

Lucius raised his head and kept standing in his place as he saw Aaron standing near him.

When Aaron was close enough, he put both of his hands on Lucius' shoulders.

"Let's go inside and have a talk," Aaron said, a warm smile visible on his face.

Lucius nodded his head slightly in response. Lucius and Aarons walked through the door of their house.

The door was still open since Arron had walked out from it a few minutes prior. They entered the room.

The moment he entered the room a sense of nostalgia washed over him as he looked around him.

"It feels good to be home" Lucius exclaimed.

The room he was in was lit up by orbs that emitted white light. The place was fairly well-lit up. The floors were made up of white marble.

In front of him lay a space that was filled with dozens of pieces of furniture. Lucius' attention was on the table in front of him.

There were 6 chairs around the table, and 3 of them were occupied. A middle-aged man, a woman, and a young girl around the age of 7 were sitting in the chairs.

"Mom, Dad, and Emma" Lucius thought to himself."Give them the good news, I will wait here," Aaron said to Lucius.

Lucius nodded his head and walked towards the table quietly. With each step he took, he got closer and closer to the table.

When he was a few meters away from the table, he called them out.

"Mom, Dad, and Emma I am home," Lucius remarked, his voice resounding through the entire place.

The man sitting at the table turned around and spotted Lucius. He made eye contact with Lucius. The man and woman smiled when they saw Lucius.

"Oh Lucius, you are home. We were talking about you just now. Why don't you sit and have Lunch with us" The middle-aged man said.

The middle-aged man didn't look that old, he didn't have wrinkles or white hair. He had short black hair that looked almost identical to Lucius. He was around 5 feet 13 inches tall, quite taller than Lucius.

"Yes Lucius, your father Albin is right. Let's have Lunch together" The woman said back.

The woman didn't have any wrinkles or white hair, she had long beautiful silky Black hair. She was wearing a white color three-piece that covered her entire body.

"Big bro sits beside me" The cheerful voice of Emma ressounded through the entire place.

Lucius just smiled when he heard her voice, he didn't move. When they saw him not moving. They assumed that he was very sad.

"Carla, I think that he is upset because he has failed the Divinity exams. I think we should do something to cheer him up" Albin said to Lucius' mom, whose name is Carla.

"I agree," Carla said.

Albin then stood up and walked towards Lucius. Just as he was walking towards Lucius, a voice resounded through his ears.

"Mom and Dad, I have passed the Divinity exams. From now on I am a full-fledged Divinity." Lucius exclaimed, his voice resounded through the entire place.

When Lucius's parents heard that, they froze like statues, even his little sister was stunned.

"I knew that they were going to be shocked" Lucius mumbled under his breath.

He waited for his parents to become normal. It took a few minutes for his parents to become normal.

"You aren't joking Lucius," Carla asked as she stood up.

"No Mom, just look at the Divine Badge that I am wearing, this alone is sufficient to prove that I am a Divinity" Lucius exclaimed.

Albin and attention was drawn toward the badge that he was wearing. The golden light that the Badge was radiating as sunlight fell on it.

"This…"

Albin and Carla looked at the badge several times to confirm that it was indeed the Divine Badge.

"It's indeed the Divine badge that signifies a Divinity" Albin exclaimed.

"But how is Lucius? How did you pass the Divinity exams" Carla asked as tears were streaming down her face.

"I will tell you everything from the beginning as we eat. Now let's have dinner. The food is getting cold.

Btw, Emma, I have bought your favorite Dessert for you" Lucius exclaimed as he showed her the packet of food.

A smile was seen her face when she heard

"Big bro thank you for the food. I love you very much"

Lucius just smiled when he saw her jumping in happiness.

"Emma, please sit down quietly," Lucius said to her.

Emma sat down quietly when she was told to sit down by Lucius. Lucius walked towards Carla, he wiped off the tears on his face and handed the packet of food.

"Mom, stop crying on such a day and be happy for once," Lucius said to her.

Carla stopped crying and smiled as she hugged Lucius.

"You have made me very proud," Carla said to Lucius.

Carla let go of Lucius after a few seconds. Lucius looked behind him and saw that Aaron was quietly standing at the back.

"Teacher Aaron, come have lunch with us," Lucius said to his teacher.

"Yes sir Aarons please have Lunch with us," Carla said in response.

Aaron nodded his head in response, he walked towards the table and sat down at one of the tables.

After that, both Lucius and Albin sat down while Carla disturbed the food. They began to eat their food a few seconds later. A few minutes passed by normally.

As they were eating the food, Aaron asked him a crucial question.

"Lucious how did you pass the exams, without using mana passing the exams is almost impossible. So how did you do it" Aarons asked.

Faced with questions that he had expected, Lucius fell into deep thought.

In the end, Lucius let out a sigh.

"You see this is what happened," Lucius said.

Lucius began to explain everything that happened but left the part of the system. He didn't intend to reveal the existence of the system even if he died.

A few seconds later, he had told everything that had happened.

There was silence at the table, and apart from Emma, everyone had stopped eating. The silence was eventually broken by Aaron who was looking Lucius directly in the eyes.

"It's hard to accept that you somehow managed to awaken aura when you are in the middle of giving exams. However, I can accept that but how did you manage to use summoning Magic?" Aarons exclaimed.

Faced with the question that will be the most difficult to answer, Lucius fell silent for the next few minutes. However, the silence didn't last for long.

""In my free time after training, I used to memorize summoning magic books out of pure interest. With my insane memorizing and understanding abilities, I mastered the contents, but without mana, I couldn't perform any spells. Once I gained the ability to use mana, I tried summoning magic, and surprisingly, it worked." Lucius said to everyone.

Everyone fell silent when they heard this, Lucius almost started to sweat as he earnestly started to pray.

"Please believe this made up story of my" Lucius prayed earnestly.

He carefully observed the looks of everyone present in the room, Aaron had a big frown on their face while his parents looked kind of confused. Aaron broke the silence.

"But Lucius, how did you get the books of summoning magic" Aaron asked Lucius.

Faced with the unexpected question, Lucius' face became pale as he realized that he didn't have any answers.

"I didn't think about this!" Lucius shouted in his mind

Seeing Lucius' pale face, Aaron let out a warm smile.

"I knew that you are trying to hide something from me, the moment that you said that you used to read the books of summoning since I knew that you mostly spend your time trying to master aura.

You only spend your time eating or sleeping or learning to master aura" Aaron said with a smile on his face.

"However, it's normal for one to have a secret that no one knows. Especially for a Divinity so I won't ask anything about summoning magic anymore." Aaron continued.

"Maybe, even heavens wanted you to become a Divinity" Aaron exclaimed.

Lucius nodded his head slightly in response.

"Indeed even the heavens wanted me to become a Divinity or else the system wouldn't have chosen me" Lucius thought to himself.A few seconds later Aaron asked him a question that he hadn't considered after becoming a Divinity.

"So now that you have become a Divinity, what do you want to do?" Aaron asked him.

Lucius fell into deep thought after he heard that question.

"What do I want to do huh?" Lucius exclaimed.
