13 Special Organism appears

"I see, do you mind if we sit next to you then?" Sion asked with a light smile, Meres was a bit more annoyed but he did not let it dirty his day.

Zephyr's face did not express any sort of annoyance, instead he just nodded and went along with what they were trying to do.

His Qi was telling him that the two were several levels higher than him, if he tried to fight them then he would just be beaten senseless.

However, that was disregarding his two main cards, the Root of Destruction and Darkness.

"Brat, what is your name? Your appearance looks a bit… familiar to me. Too much for me to even ignore it." Meres squinted his eyes and put his face closer to Zephyr.

Zephyr raised an eyebrow,

"What is your name boy?" Sion asked as he sneakily stole a chair from a nearby table outside the tavern.

"Zephyr."

"Sion."

"Meres."

He wasn't the type to say something as cliche as 'tell me yours first'. Names were names, it wasn't hard to change them. As a kid he lacked any sort of identification papers, so he could easily change it if he so wanted.

"What kind of business do you have here brat?" Meres asked with a scowl. He had also taken a chair to sit from the same table as Sion.

"..."

"..."

"Do you have a mouth?!" Meres was the one with the least patience of the two, seeing Zephyr just basically ignore him after having to wait for days basically put a bad taste into his mouth.

"What kind of business could a kid have in a tavern according to you?" Zephyr slightly opened his eyes, revealing a cold glare aimed at Meres.

"How the fuck am I supposed to know?" Meres responded almost instantly. It could be anything.

"Exactly, let's let it stay like that." The younger boy spoke before ignoring both of them once again.

'Goddamn kid… I try to start a conversation because I'm bored and I want to be nice, and he responds to me so coldly.'

Sion glanced deeply into Zephyr, his Mana gently but carefully hovering and moving around him, as if he was trying to discover something. The next second a wide smile blossomed in his face.

~~

Arlo clenched his fist, he was going to face one of scariest members of the Red Dawn located here, someone who was once considered one of the top ten thousand members of said organization.

The one who even the current leader of the continental Red Dawn Headquarters had to be careful before acting around.

"Arlo… It's been a very long time hasn't it?" A hoarse and ancient voice resonated out, causing Arlo to look up.

"Apprentice greets Venerable Master!" Arlo immediately kneeled down to respect the person in front of him without any hesitation.

Venerable Master's aura suggested he was about to die, but his appearance showed that he was yet to even reach his forties. His facial features were detailed and sharp, no visible flaws were present and gave him the feeling of a respectable senior.

Venerable Master's true name and titled were different, but Arlo had studied under him for two years, thus he had deep reverence for the man in front of him.

Venerable Master's true name was Vanos, a man who had existed in this planet for centuries. His Title was Ascending Saint, someone who had shed his mortal body… for something else.

"Venerable Master, I am here to ask you about a certain issue we left adrift several years ago…" Arlo gulped down as he spoke, even now he did not dare to face Vanos directly.

His eyes drifted around the room, but never met Vanos's eyes.

"Start speaking Arlo, we both know my time is slowly being consumed…"

Arlo nodded as he opened his mouth,"I wanted t-" he was cut short as the wall of the room to their right explode in a fury of quakes.

Dust spread out, hindering any sort of communication besides using Qi or Mana. Arlo back-flipped several times before pulling out a longsword. He coated it in Mana and threw it forward, the Mana made it sticky and despite it escaping his grip, he could effortlessly affect the sword's movements.

Vanos just smiled not even moving from his original movement. Several beams of Qi were thrown at him, but there was a barrier which just blocked them.

Arlo stared at him from the corner of his eyes, not letting it distract him from the main battle.

'As expected of the man who walked unhindered in the Island of God.' He fought the urge to smile as he pushed more and more Mana against the attackers.

~~

Zephyr was growing impatient, but it was not showing in his face. Sion and Meres who were 'older' also did not show any impatience, but it was soon disturbed by explosions.

"Meres, up to you." Sion said as he lazily stood up, while Meres was already in action, mana gathering in his palm.

"Rank 2 Spell - Nature's Cry!" A Nature-based spell was unleashed as long vines with thorns were unleashed from his hand in a quick manner.

'I'm no user of Nature Spells, but revealing my identity isn't the best move out there either." Meres was already thinking of what to do next.

"Be careful!" Sion howled out, but it was too late, a ray of Qi exploded right in front of Meres who had not noticed it beforehand due to being careless.

"My sight…" Meres grimaced, his vision had temporarily blurred, he would no longer be able to efficiently react to attacks.

Sion rolled his eyes, a calm and tranquil state appearing in his face. Despite the foreign attackers, he wasn't bothered in the slightest anymore, he knew Meres could take care of this.

"He won't be winning this fight." Zephyr opened his eyes, despite the increasing commotion, he was still lazily down on the floor and observing the fight between the oddly stealthy enemy and Meres.

"You think so? Then you are wrong boy, He has yet to shown any advanced spell." Sion stated as he sat down as well.

Just at this moment, Meres was sent flying, crashing in a pile of bricks. "You bastards really want to get a piece of my fist don't you…"

His eyes gleamed with a hint of anger, signifying he was no longer going to hold back.

"Rank 4 Spell - Dragon's Fist!"

Zephyr narrowed his glare, a rank 4 spell required intense focus and even some of the most experienced mages could not pull off such a feat.

Sion noticed the slight surprise in the boy's gaze and smirked. In the distance, Meres's right fist started to ignite in a burst of red flames. Magic Circles encircled the entire fist, spreading all over his arm as well.

A single shake of his right arm managed to throw the flames from his shoulder to the sky. Just from that one could see just how intimidating he looked right now.

The tavern quaked, rumbling sounds engulfed the area and Zephyr was forced to jump away because of danger.

With a flick of his sword, He stabbed it at another building and stood on top of it, his Qi carefully attaching itself to the handle of the sword. This sword was merely one made with a slightly sturdy metal, he planned to replace it soon.

'Root Of Darkness - Awakened - Standby Mode'

His eyes turned a bit darker, a side-effect which he had yet to fully get rid of when unlocking the Root of Darkness.

Sion did not notice the change in Zephyr's eyes, after all the boy had only opened them twice in his presence, and although the color was a bit unique, scarlet red, it was not unusual.

Meres grinned and launched forward, attacking the shadow once again. This time it had a ton more effect, as the flames burnt the shadow's darkness.

"How amazing, despite having most of your vision removed… You can still manage to react to my location and attack me amazing indeed, extraordinary!"

Meres was not that happy about the compliment he receives from the attacker.

"Say that again you fucker!"
