3 Kids...

Zephyr opened his tiny eyes for what was probably the millionth time in his new life. His second birthday was nearing; the twenty-seventh of August.

His body did not resemble that of a two years old kid, instead it was more similar to that of a five year old one. This could be attributed to the fact he was experimenting with his body using Mana and Qi, the former being the Mysterious Energy he had discovered two years ago.

'Mana is heavier than Qi, causing it to be easier for humans to access. Judging by the books I read before, people are more likely to come to this world with the ability to use Mana than that of using Qi.'

'This caused the Qi Users population to dwindle to the point of disappearance.'

Zephyr moved his short silver hair away from his forehead and groaned. "It just had to happen that I was born with the ability to use Mana AND Qi at the same time… Wonderful."

Don't take that wrong, Zephyr did not hate the feeling of having power, he hated the feeling of having to be careful of who he used his powers on.

He was not afraid to reveal his powers to the world, but that would attract unwanted attention. From what he knew, the orphanage he was currently living in was funded by a Church who was connected to the Kingdom's Military.

So ultimately the orphans living in this Orphanage had the same fate. To become soldiers of the kingdom.

In fact Zephyr had sneaked inside the office of Mother Saya's superior, Mother Belinda who was responsible for the 'other' stuff inside the Orphanage, or you could just refer to it as the shady stuff.

Mother Belinda was a middle-aged woman who had a harsh personality, she was that woman who every kid hated for many reasons.

Zephyr was not really the best person you could ask to judge people, since he was someone who had done many evil deeds which were overshadowed by his good deeds however.

But, Mother Belinda probably could barely earn a place in the top one million people which he deemed the worst due to various reasons. Just barely at that as well.

At the age of two… He couldn't really do much. His power could be well deservingly be put above average for people at his age or even for young men and women… But it was nowhere enough to put a struggle against similar people as him.

Zephyr stared at the moving clouds. He was laying on the green grass, nothing obstructing his view of the clear blue sky.

The orphanage was nothing special. A building who was built about ten years ago, there was an older Orphanage which was not used anymore by the workers besides Mother Belinda. The new and furnished Orphanage had over twenty or so kids in total and was made out of four floors.

For an Orphanage inside a poor town, it was way too gorgeous when you compared it to other houses. Never did the kids inside the orphanage have to suffer for food, but they still had to train harshly.

Under the pretense of 'self-defense' training, the Kingdom had sent a Instructor to help sharpen and hone the senses and raise the physical strength of the orphans.

The starting age for that training was age 2. Those below the age of 2 were simply given a diet so their body would experience good growth. The Kingdom of the Rising Moon desired strong warriors.

The Kingdom of the Rising Moon was also known as The Kingdom of the Poor and Dalmo.

Dalmo had a famous problem with famine and poverty. Despite having a quite low population at merely fifty million compared to their neighbours, the rough geographic position made their living harsh.

Due to the mostly rocky surface, agriculture was limited to few regions. In the town Zephyr lived, there was a region which was suitable for agriculture and was rightfully used.

This really confused Zephyr to a certain degree, after all couldn't they simply remove the rocks and just use Mana to soften the ground and make it fertile so it could be used by local farmers?

"Zeph… Where are you!" A childish voice sounded off, much to his annoyance. "Why in hell do they always have to bother me everytime they want to play a game of hero and villain…"

The so called 'Hero' of the Orphanage, a kid just two years older than Zephyr who was obsessed with being a Hero.

He also spouted nonsense about this tale of a hero he was told by Mother Saya, something about a sword named Excalibur.

He even forced Mother Saya and Mother Belinda to rename him to Arthur. Despite his young age you could also say he was very stubborn and persistent, the adults couldn't really stop him from getting what he so madly desired.

Zephyr glanced around, he had been yet to be found that was a good sign. With a single leap into the air, he jumped into a thick branch of a tall tree and was hidden well by the leaves and shadow.

Yes, he was a bit lazy but after being thrown into this cycle of annoyance that is playing games for children… He wasn't risking doing it again and again once more.

He'd rather die once again, he didn't think that the Underworld was more annoying than this little boy, Arthur right?

Speaking of the devil, Arthur was literally just below the tree Zephyr was sitting on. He was a young boy of an average height and weight for his age. His head was covered in a lot of blond hair, while his eyes were azure in color.

His clothes were simply done, signs of decay were visible however. This served to show that while the Orphanage was richer compared to most other orphanages, that was where it went at most.

"Zeeeph, last time it took me two hours to find you, this time I'll only use one hour!" Zephyr sweatdropped slightly. The only reason he had been found out was because he felt too sad for the blond kid.

He hadn't expected for Arthur to be so stubborn about something so weird. Why'd he want him to play with his group of friends anyway, he wasn't even half Arthur's age.

"I found you!" Arthur grinned as he pointed upwards, Zephyr had revealed himself once again with a sigh. His figure disappeared in a blink of eyes as Arthur pouted and let out a disappointed groan.

"You cannot escape the hands of the Hero of the Orphanage. I, Arthur will definitely catch you, Zeph!"
