7 Geography and Mana

Zephyr put the book he was reading down. He had sneaked into the office of the caretakers in the Orphanage. They had a book collection about the continent. The stories told to them were really too 'vague' to give Zephyr information otherwise.

Asmodea was the name of the world. The continent he was currently was called Rafea, the seventh continent discovered. The difference between each continent right now was not really that major, but there was a bit of discrimination based on several factors.

Unfortunately, there was a difference which was thrown around by many, the difference in Mana and Qi in the air.

There was a legend speaking about a 'Core' or rather Origin of a continent, which could create a field of gravity where it sucked Qi and Mana from the world to its own area where the natives and foreigners could use it.

This legend was never proven to be right, but many thought that the continents were based out of 'Gods' which gave up their lives to create this so called Origin which would continue to lead Humanity to prosperity.

The books only spoke of nine continents, but for some odd reason Zephyr felt a headache every time he tried to focus on that part.

'This really feels like a Mind-Control spell… But when, I am sure that every since the moment I was brought into this world, my field of focus would be able to detect even the legendary warriors…'

Zephyr groaned as realization hit him. There was only way this could have happened…

'When I was a fetus in my mother's womb…'

Although his awareness was still visible back then, his mind was crippled into several fragments, at the time of speaking his soul had been in a state of hibernating.

Zephyr took a deep breath allowing Qi to revolve around his core, his Qi Fetus was growing superbly.

He was nearing the late stages of the Qi Manifestation Realm. His soul core or just core for short, had matured and he was showing signs of entering the second realm.

Unfortunately, he was not going to really breakthrough any time soon however.

The purer the Qi he used to breakthrough to the next realm, the stronger the effects of said realm would be. Currently in the Continent of Rafea, the Qi wasn't really that pure.

Although the number of people in the Foundation Creation Realm were not few, their Qi was mostly impure. Rarely would one meet a expert of that realm who had pure Qi.

*BOOM*

Zephyr sighed, knowing what the explosion signified.

"ZEPHHH!"

His eyes twitched, Arthur was searching for him. That troublemaker had actually used explosive to search for him.

He used some of his Qi to cover his presence, then he left the office after carefully putting the book back in its place.

He then karate-chopped Arthur on the head. The five year old boy winced from the pain and rubbed his head.

"Why did you have to hit me?! It hurts a ton…" He revealed a face covered in tears and glared at Zephyr who couldn't care any less.

"Why are you using explosive to attract my attention you dumbass. What if Mother Saya sees you!" Zephyr growled in exasperation.

If Mother Saya found out what Arthur had done, he would be severely punished with more than a week of training as a bonus compared to others.

"Unfortunately… I did see him." A sweet voice sounded off, earning a groan from Zephyr who soon lowered his head, his hand covering his face.

"I told you you dumbass." Despite Zephyr being younger than Arthur, he was the smarter one of the two, which if you took into perspective his first life was normal, but still…

"Mother Saya, I apologize for this moron. Please take into consideration the fact he is talented and is a kid to forgive his weak ass." Zephyr bowed slightly in front of Mother Saya who was gently smiling.

"Here, Arthur let me heal your head." Mother Saya chuckled, not responding to Zephyr at the moment and instead extended her hand towards Arthur's head who flinched.

The latter gulped and closed his eyes. He was scared that she would hit him. It was normal for him to be scared of physical pain.

A minute passed and only then did Arthur dare to open his eyes. Having lost his focus on the issue, he left a warm hand rub his head and spread warmness into his hair and deeper.

Ecstasy overcame him, it was an euphoric sensation, something he had never experienced before. Tears dried from his face, and a look of confuse overcame him.

"Mother Saya, is that a Rank One Spell, Healing Hands?" Zephyr asked with a hint of curiousness. He appeared to be 'clouded' in thoughts.

"Indeed Zeph, this is one of the basic spells for Mana-users like me. Without it, most likely I would not have been accepted as a caretaker of you and the others." Mother Saya ruffled Zephyr's hair much to the latter's annoyance as she spoke.

"When will we be eligible to learn spells like you then Mother Saya?!" Arthur's eyes shone with excitement, it was spreading from his own speech as well.

"Well unfortunately I cannot teach it to Zeph… But you certainly are qualified to become a Mage just like me." Mother Saya said with a smile.

"Why can't you teach it to Zeph…"

"..."

Zephyr stopped listening to their conversation. His focus was entirely on Mother Saya's hands. It had reached the point he stopped even hearing noises besides his heartbeat.

Inner Potential.

Using his Inner Potential, Zephyr completely learnt the Rank one Spell, Healing Hands. If he ever hurt himself somehow, he could use this to heal minor injuries.

'Although I doubt I can use this for anything besides cleaning the wound when it comes to major wounds. Maybe even close it… But heal? Nope.'

His scarlet red eyes shone slightly as he sneaked away from the duo. He could use his time to do something else besides dealing with whiny brats and adults.

"Just where exactly are you thinking of going to, Zephyr?" Another voice entered his ears almost catching him off-guard.

He sheepishly spoke with a visible annoyed face.

"Tai…"

"We need to talk Zeph."
