[Annihilation (formerly Assassination)]: Unleash an attack that ignores the opponent's defense, inflicting substantial damage and leaving a mark. All allied units attacking the marked target deal an additional 30% damage. If the target is killed directly, the mark spreads to all enemies within range.

"This strong??" Jason marveled.

The original Assassination skill was merely a minor displacement with some damage effect. 

Jason had used it to eliminate numerous bosses, but its effectiveness wasn't really about the damage from [Assassination] itself; it served more to instantly position him at the center of the battlefield to deliver the final blow.

It was all about the spectacle.

Never mind the damage; was it cool or what?

But now, leading with [Annihilation] to apply the mark, the increased damage effect significantly boosted the killing capability of Jason's forces against bosses.

Against groups of enemies, Jason could also reduce a target's HP before leveraging the death spread feature of [Annihilation] to apply marks widely, enhancing output efficiency across the board.

And there was one more new skill from Divinity: Lord of All Endings.

[Soul Harvest: The souls of all nearby deceased units will be harvested, converted into soul coins.]

[Accumulate a hundred soul coins to create an End's Merchant.]

At the moment, Jason couldn't see its immediate utility, but he believed that, given it was a skill from Divinity surpassing SSS-level entities, its potency was assured.

After settling matters related to his class transition, Jason left the church and started exploring near Rock Gorge, where he had leaped off cliffs many times before. 

This part of the map, located near Losfall city, was relatively isolated and not abundant in resources, making it somewhat secluded.

By the time Jason tackled the Trial Ground of the Gods, it was already around three or four in the afternoon. 

With its scarce resources, Rock Gorge could be cleared by Jason before nightfall. 

Despite the map's limited resources, it harbored a hidden Hero Altar, where Jason could use his two summoning items.

The exploration this time was rather monotonous. 

Along the way, after clearing a bunch of resource points and collecting plenty of basic resources, Jason officially leveled up to 30 and unlocked a new privilege. 

With a hero present, he could now split his forces within a certain range for exploration.

Thus, Jason had the dragon girl lead the Dragonsepulcher Sentinel, half of the skeletal dragon knights, and some assorted units, dividing his forces into two to comb through Rock Gorge.

It's worth mentioning that in Divine Age, before possessing a [Divine Realm], the range within which players could dispatch heroes wasn't too far from themselves, a distance that increased with the player's level. 

Only after constructing a [Divine Realm] was the dispatch function fully unlocked.

After sweeping through a multitude of resources, Jason arrived near a pool at the bottom of Rock Gorge. 

Leveraging knowledge from his past life, he swiftly commanded his soldiers to launch continuous attacks on the pool.

Soon, amidst a series of chaotic disturbances, a special terrain hidden by magic was unveiled. 

A Hero Altar emerged, and tens of thousands of frenzied monsters charged towards them.

The strength of these monsters was more or less the same as those near the previous Hero Altar, with the highest being tier-6, and not in great numbers. 

The rest, no matter how many, were merely cannon fodder.

Even after allocating some of his forces to the dragon girl, Jason still commanded a force of three to four thousand. 

With a few casual commands, the tanks held the frontline, the mages output from behind, and soldiers with control abilities cast a few crowd-control spells.

The sheer numbers had led to a qualitative change; even without relying on terrain, the enemy could only engage with a limited number of Jason's troops at any given time, never able to gain a numerical advantage locally.

Once the true strength of Jason's soldiers fully unleashed, it turned into a one-sided slaughter.

The final boss, a special race named Naga, emerged, but Jason hardly bothered to check its attributes. 

Bloodseeker surged forward, slashing its defenses, and the terrifying output from countless soldiers quickly brought the boss down.

Despite the boss's high HP, at this stage, without sufficient lethality to eliminate Jason's troops, even a high HP pool was insufficient.

Upon the boss's death, it dropped two bronze-tier pieces of equipment and five basic resource packs.

Jason casually collected the loot and then checked the effect of his new skill, Soul Harvest—

The result was... the tens of thousands of ordinary monsters ultimately condensed into just two soul coins, and the Boss yielded only one soul coin.

It seems, gathering a hundred soul coins would be a long and arduous journey.

Next, Jason walked over the numerous bodies that were gradually disappearing, making his way to the Hero Altar. 

He first used the SS-level [Divine Summons], entering the peculiar space for choosing heroes once again.

Jason quickly set his sights on a target, and then opened his eyes in front of the Hero Altar. 

After a flash of azure light, a girl with a golden ponytail, looking somewhat bewildered and nearly tripping over herself as she walked, emerged.

The female hero was dressed in an oversized academic gown, which perhaps due to her figure, made her walk somewhat unsteady. 

Of course, Jason insisted that his choice of this hero had nothing to do with her looks, but rather her impressive stature.

"Hello, hero from another world, I am honored to serve you." "I am Loreta from the True Knowledge Society."

The girl steadied herself with Jason's help, somewhat dazedly, and then introduced herself.

This SS-level hero hadn't been summoned in his previous life; he stumbled upon her while browsing through the hero information just now.

Jason immediately knew she was exactly the hero he needed.

"Just in time to catch the next event," he said with excitement.

The second event of the server opening, [Resurgent Legion], is set to begin the day after tomorrow, which is the fifth day since the launch. 

The event entails the resurrection of powerful units from ancient times. 

Defeating them will spawn temporary training grounds where players can train corresponding units. 

In short, the soldiers trained during the event are hidden units, and Jason absolutely wouldn't miss out on this opportunity.

Now that he has recruited Loreta, her passive ability could directly benefit the batch of hidden units once they are trained and evolved. 

In fact, this hero could greatly aid Jason's [Undead Plague], possibly even more so than some SSS-level heroes!

With an endless surge of troops, imagine how many soldiers could receive enhancements? 

Not to mention, Loreta's increase is to the base attributes, meaning the additional 10% could further be amplified by Jason's Authority and other enhancements.

At this moment, Jason could hardly contain himself, eager to infuse his new hero with Undead Essence and see the effects of advancing her level.

"What are you pondering, hero from another realm?" Loreta asked curiously.

Jason smoothly changed the subject, "Nothing much, there's just a lot more I'll need your help with."

After some small talk, Jason continued with his operations. 

He still had the [Anthem of Heroes (A-level)], another item to be used at the Hero Altar. 

Jason had to admit, he was quite happy when he first received this reward after completing a quest; in his past life, having an additional A-level hero would have made him ecstatic for months. 

Now, it felt somewhat mundane, but for the sake of efficiency in clearing the map, having an additional hero for splitting forces was still worthwhile.

Casually selecting the item for use, and since it was purely random, he didn't need to do anything. 

After a faint glow, a knight clad in shining silver armor, mounted on a steed, made her entrance. 

She then removed her helmet, revealing herself to be a valiant female knight.

"Not bad," Jason breathed a sigh of relief. 

Although this was an A-level hero to begin with, as long as she was of the opposite gender, he could elevate her tier unconditionally.
