13 THE PLAN.

At the office, Chris sat on his swivel chair and felt like just stabbing himself thinking about his father's situation, and suddenly it stroked his mind, an idea. He took his phone and calmly dialed a number as the person on the other side answered. They exchanged pleasantries then chris asked;

"Please doctor, i want to ask you a question. if a person has a lung disease, can they be cured?"

Well, It depends on the type of lung disease. Some are uncurable while some can be treated only to prevent the inevitable(death) for sometimes, so i have to know which type it is before i can conclude; the person on the line answered.

Ok i will be coming to see you tomorrow, can we please make an arrangement for a test; Chris requested with a cold voice.

ok no problem Mr. Chris, i will be waiting for you. It should be by 9am then, i hope its ok; the person on the phone replied.

Sure no problem, thank you doctor; Chris said as he ended the call.

Chris knew his father will not willingly go to the hospital with him so he had to find a way to take him there. He thought for almost 20min and then alas!, he got a plan. He called his cousin James(who is a famous designer and CEO of L&G Designer wears[they make clothes, shoes, jewelsries and everything a person can wear] which was owned by his father).

Hey cous, how are you doing; chris asked with a joyous voice.

What do you want chris?, i know whenever you call me and sound happy, you want something; James answered.

Oh, so now i can't call my cousin just to talk; chris said

Oh cmon, cut the crap. i know you; James answered as he laughed a bit.

I want to talk to you about something important about my dad, but please promise you wont tell aunt about this; Chris asked as his voice turned cold.

Wow, is everything alright, what can't i tell my mom; James answered sounding worried

My dad is sick James; Chris said with his voice sounding like he will burst into tears any moment.

What do you mean bro?; james asked sounding even more worried.

Yes james, he has a lung disease. And you know him well, he won't let me take him to the hospital. So i need you to do me a favour please; chris replied as his voice sunk deeper.

What!!!!!. Why didn't he tell my mom about this?; James asked somehow angry and worried.

I don't know, i just found out too and its like he wasn't planing on telling me either; Chris answered.

Hmm, ok so what do you want me to do?; james asked calmly.

I want you to go to the hospital tomorrow, i will tell my father that you were coming to visit us but you had an accident on the road and you were taken to a hospital. Am sure he will come to see you, i have already arranged for the tests so i just need to get him there; Chris explained to him.

Ok no problem, you know i always have your back. I will call you tomorrow then, bye; James answered as he hung up the phone.

Just as chris was about to relax his head on the chair, his office door opened. Sophie walked in and greeted him, she told him some investor are here to talk to him about some issues concerning the company. He just waved his hand at her telling her to invite them in. She walked out and after about 5min, she brought them. There meeting lasted for almost 3 hours, sophie will occasional ask them if they needed anything but they only asked for water since they came. After they were done it was almost 7pm, so all the staffs began to leave. Sophie tidied Chris's office before she left, as she walked out the company gate, she heard a deep voice from behind her call her name.

Good evening ma'am; a tall, musculine man in black suit and wearing a black glass spoke to her with a deep voice and a serious face.

Can i help you sir?; Sophie asked as she trembled in fear but showed no sign of it.

Mr. Christian hired me to be your driver and bodyguard. My name is Tom; he answered as he showed her his company ID.

Oh ok, nice to meet you; Sophie answered with relief in her heart.

So are you ready to leave?; The bodyguard asked as he opened the car door for her.

Yes, thank you; she replied and she entered the car.

He closed the door and drove her home. As they reached Sophie's house, he told her he will be back tomorrow at 6am to pick her up and then he left. Sophie stood outside her house, she couldn't believe chris was being serious about the bodyguard when he said it. She felt like her heart will melt, her feelings for him bloosomed even more, she felt like the only woman in the world at that moment, she believed he cared about her, her heart felt like it will explode, she eventually snapped back to senses when a rain drop touched her face, she turned and entered the house.
