3 RESPONSIBILITY

Its morning already, and as usual Chris tries to snooze the alarm and he fell down from the bed.

UHHHHHHH; he moaned

"I think i should move the alarm clock closer to my bed"; he thought to himself

He stood up and walked to the bathroom, he looked in the mirror.

"What father is asking for is a big responsibility and i don't think am old enough to handle it, am not ready for all of this"; Chris thought to himself as he was washing his face.

He took his bath and dressed, and he was ready to go for work. suddenly, his phone rang, he picked it up, it was an unregistered number.

Who could be calling me so early in the morning?; he murmured to himself as he picked the call

Am i talking to Mr. Chris Mark?; a serious voice asked

Yes, who's this please?; Chris surprisingly asked

You brought a patient yesterday at 10pm by the name miss Sapphire John; the person the other line answered

Yes, oh you are the doctor. Has she regained consciousness?; Chris calmly asked

Yes but i need you to come to the hospital ASAP, because there's a little problem, and we need to talk.; the doctor replied with doubts.

As Chris hung up the phone, he started thinking what the matter was. He was all worked up and stressed, thinking what the problem was, u could see a sense of worry on his face.He finished dressing up and rushed downstairs suddenly...........

"BUB!!". Chris bumped into his sister

Ohhh, am so sorry, i didn't see you there; Chris said still in a rush

I have some work, that needs my urgent attention; he answered as he stopped

No i will get coffee on the way; he answered as he left the house

Bu.... But; before she could finish, he has banished.

"I hope all is fine"; she thought as she continue typing on her phone

His father was still sleeping when he left. So he couldn't tell him the decision he made regarding the offer he gave him.

Chris arrived at the hospital in a rush. He went straight to the doctors office. He knocked then went in.

Ah! Mr. Chris welcome, pls have a seat; Doctor Diego said with a serious face

Hmmm!, am afraid i only have bad news to deliver Mr. Mark; the doctor answered looking for some files in his drawer

Yes sir and there is nothing we can do, it seems she has never being such a situation before in her life. She cant talk, she won't eat or drink, she wont move or even sit up; the

Chris was so disturbed, he didn't know what to do or how to react. He felt it was his fault, because he gave Sophie a lot of work to do that day.

"its all my fault, i should let her finish the work the next day"; Chris thought to himself

He felt like punching the wall. He felt like killing himself. He then went to her room to see her, she was sleeping with oxygen pipe attached to her face and a drip put in her hand. He felt uneasy and angry and as he turned to leave, he noticed her hand move, he then turned back and saw her opening her eyes.

Soph....Sophie are u ok?; he asked as he rushed to check on her

He held her hand as look at her pitiful face, it was almost like she was lifeless. He then remembered the doctor told him she didn't eat or drink. He looked in her eyes and saw the pain she was in, as he stood to go call the doctor, she held his hand tightly. He immediately stopped ,he turned to look at her and he saw her trying to point to her bag, she is trying hard to point to the bag. He noticed, so he went to check the bag and as he searched, he found her phone as he pressed the power button he saw 70 missed calls, all from one contact named "MOM". He knew she wanted to call her mother, so he dialed the number and waited as it rang. Without any waste of time a woman picked up.

Hello, Sophie where have you been, are you alright, you left me worried and disturbed, Say something; Mrs. John said so worried

Sorry mame but this is not Sophie, She is at a hospital; Chris replied coldly

What!, Who is this and which hospital is she at?; Mrs. John asked calm and shocked

Am her boss, she is at st. Peters private hospital; Chris replied calmly
