She tilted her head up, her eyes brushed over his length in a quick assessing glance. Her typical impertinence, that he still found irritatingly attractive.

"My, is that really you? It's been ages, isn't it?"

He heard her voice, and felt a familiar pang of wrench that he had sworn he would never feel again. It seemed eternity before he could find his voice again.

"Amanda."

An instant excitement flickered in her face.

"Glad you still remember my name. I started to think you don't recognize me. Well, it's been so long."
