6 months after marriage...

Doctor: Congratulations, you're about 2months pregnant.

Seraphina: Why?

The doctor was stunned by her reply.

Quincy: Babe, what do you mean by why?

He was confused by her reaction.

Seraphina: How am I supposed to abstain from touching you for months? It's very unscientific.

Quincy: "..."

He discovered his wife had extra energy when it came to bed exercises. She always wore him out and not the other way around.

Doctor: That's not a problem. Once you are past your first trimester, you can still do it. He just has to be gentle.

Seraphina: Where's the fun in being gentle?

Doctor: "..."

Quincy: Babe, we'll figure it out.

Family gathering...

Everyone was glad there was going to be a new addition to the family. Flora found out she was also pregnant a week after Quincy and Seraphina's wedding. Two pregnant women plus baby Emerald in the family gave everyone something to smile about.

Alice held Seraphina's hand, "You guys are gonna have such a beautiful baby. I knew it from the moment you were born. When I held you in my arms, I just knew you'd make perfect children with Quincy." In the spur of the moment, Alice had let the truth slip. Janet almost choked on her spittle.

"You knew Summer as a baby? Since when?" Quincy asked in a dangerously low tone.

"Was that what I said? I meant since the time I saw her a year ago..." Alice said as her eyes darted around.

"Granny, out with it already," Seraphina followed.

"Okay. Let her breathe. I'll tell you," Janet interjected. She continued, "Alice and I are bestfriends that grew up together. When you were born, she was there. It was at that moment she claimed you as her granddaughter-in-law. You and Quincy were always meant to be."

The couple was left speechless. It took a while for them to regain their thoughts.

"How come I never knew about her?" Quincy asked.

"Well, you moved away that same year, so you never got to meet Summer. To get you two together, we made you neighbors. For 3 years, you guys made no progress. So we stepped in," Alice replied.

"No wonder the wedding was planned to perfection at such a short notice. Why didn't you just make us meet instead of going through all that trouble?" Seraphina questioned. It didn't make any sense that they both went through all that mess.

"If you had agreed to the blind date, we wouldn't have had to step in," the adults rolled their eyes at them like they were in the wrong.

The two grandmothers relayed the story of their relationship from the very beginning, not leaving out the to-do list and how Seraphina had ruined it. The couple was just left flabbergasted from all the information that was dumped on them. As they analyzed, they concluded that they were always meant to be. Even through the slipped meetings, to family connection, they still met in their own way, and they had their own unique story. It was all about discovering something special, more appropriately, discovering someone special.
