Gavin towered over the triplets. He was surprised when he saw their eyes.

"They have silver eyes! How did that happen?" He asked excitedly, turning to face Seraphina.

"Well, there's science and Quincy," she replied.

Gavin turned his attention towards Quincy and realized that he also had silver eyes. The man was such a hunk.

"You nailed yourself a good man with good genes." He winked at her before lifting Amy in his arms. She giggled and pulled on his ears with her stubby hands. The two boys kept their conversation going while looking at their mischievous sister.

"You were supposed to come back last year," Summer lamented.

"I got a really good offer at a research center that I couldn't turn down. Now I'm back and you'll be helping me."

"Of course. I'm my mentor's favorite student."

The two conversed naturally like they always did and caught up on what they missed when they were apart.

Quincy stared daggers at the man who stole both his daughter and wife's attentions.

When he finally looked away, Gavin took a quick glance and smiled sneakily.
