9 CHAPTER 8

The boys drive me back home so I can change and grab some stuff and my files. When I reach home I invite the boys in.

"Oh hey Anaise. Welcome back! Who are you two dashing fellows?" Candace ask grinning.

"These are my friends, Dan and Dave, from uhhh... school. Yeah from school. We'll be going out in a bit so Imma gonna change. I'll be back."

I head upstairs and change into a pair of black pants and and a black tank top. I tie my hair back into a ponytail. I grab my laptop and my guns and shove them into my bag. Just then Janice walks in.

"Where the hell are you going dressed like a thief about to break into a house, and what was that you shoved into the bag?"

"Could you mind your own business? Sheesh! for someone who hates my guts you sure do like butting in my business. If you'll excuse me, I have somewhere to be." I push against her since she was standing at the door and head downstairs.

That girl is overly suspicious about me. Good thing I hide my gadgets where she'll never find it. I wouldn't put it past her to search my bags.

"Okay we are leaving now Candace. Come on guys, let's go." I tell Candace when I get downstairs to where the boys were waiting.

"Sure kiddos. Just be safe and be back home early Ana." Candace advices.

********************************

The boys take me to their place and surprisingly they live alone. I guess that's one of the perks of being eighteen year old agents. They can live alone instead of with a family like I am living with.

    "Nice place."

    "Thanks." Dave thanks.

    "Yeah."Dan agrees.

"Okay so down to business. According to the research I did last night I found out that there's a drug creep that sells drugs on the streets. If we can find him and make him talk then we can get closer to the main source." I analyze.

       "Which street?" Dan questions.

" Well according to the location I have here it says 24th Avenue. That's downtown. Let's get moving." I say showing them the location on my GPS device.

    "Let's get going then."

The 24th Avenue is nothing to write home about. It almost looks like the ghetto. We go around looking for the drug creep. When we don't find any trace of him, we decided to ask some boys  of his usual spot.

"Yo! Any of y'all seen the drug creep around here." I question in the best hood accent I could imitate.

"Look what we got here y'all. Pretty princess be ask'n of the drug creep." Boy one mocks while the others laugh.

"Sweetheart, this ain't a place for peeps like you so I suggest you take your lil boyfriends and get the hell atta here." Boy two said.

"Hey A, let's just leave from here and ask someone else. We don't want to cause any fights now."Dan is taking me by the arm and is trying to pull me but I stand my ground and not move an inch.

"Yeah princess, pretty boy is right. Just leave." Boy three days with a smirk on his face.

"Look mern I just wanna find him and be on ma way. I's got a lotta things on ma plate right now so if one of y'all knuckleheads just show me the place then imma be on my way." I'm getting really irritated now because these bimbos are wasting my time.

"Just because you be using fancy words on us don't mean we don't understand 'em. I think princess and her boyfriends should be taught a lesson." One suggests and they all come towards us.

I don't want to fight but it seems these knuckleheads aren't backing down. I still try to reason though.

"You don't wanna fight us. Stay back and no one gets hurt." I try to reason but Boy one, who I think is the boss, jumps towards me. I move out of the way and kick him in the shin and he falls. I look behind and see the Dan and Dave are fighting off the other guys. I look back at Boy one and notice him trying to get up. I punch him in the nose and and straddle him, bending his arm in a way it's not supposed to go.

"So you gonna tell me now?"

"Who the hell are you?" He is very frightened.

"Just tell me unless you're going to have to see a doctor after this." I threaten.

"Okay okay... he lives in an old house down the street. He ruthless though, won't hesitate to fight or cheat you atta ya cash. Now lemme go."

"Now that wasn't so hard was it? That'll show you to mess with any 'princess' that comes up to you asking nicely for directions." I smirk at him before walking away, leaving the beat up boys grunting in pain.

The twins and I start walking down the street to find this drug creep.

"That was some nice fight, huh?" Dave says flexing his fingers.

"Yeah i guess so" I reply.

The old house we see up front is creepy looking. I ring the door bell and wait for someone to open up rather someone yells for us to come, that no one rings doorbells in this neighbourhood. The person sounds pissed. My hand is fastened on my gun when we enter.

"Whachu want?" An irritated voice asks.

"Are you the drug creep?" I answer.

   "Who's ask'n?"

   "I am."

    "And you are?"

"Not important, as long as you tell me the name of the one supplying you with the drugs you are selling."

"Hahahaha. Princess, what do you think you are doing here? Coming to this ghetto and trying to threaten me. Hahahahaha."

What's up with everyone and calling me princess. It's so irritating.

"Don't make me do this the hard way."

"Whachu you gon do? Dress me in a tutu? Hahahaha"

Before he can finish laughing Dan and Dave have him up against the wall and I pulled my gun out to his face.

"You gon start talking now or do you want me to use this?" I press the gun deeper in his temple.

"The big man." He yells.

"Who's the big man?" Dave asks.

"I don't know what he looks like but whenever I go to buy drugs he talk to me through this window that shields his face. That's all I know."

"Where is the hideout? Answer me I say pressing the gun deeper to get him to spill.

"It's located behind the run down bar at 107th Oak street. That's where it's hidden. Now can you let me go please?"

"Oh hell no! You aren't going anywhere but to jail."

Just then we hear the police siren indicating that they are nearing this place.

"Tie him up and let's get out of here. I don't want the cops to see us yet." I bark commands at the twins.

They tie him up and then we go hide somewhere so we can keep an eye on him till the cops show.

"This is the police. Put your hands behind your back and step out slowly." Commands a cop.

Some moments later the cops barge in when they realize the drug creep isn't coming out.

"Let's go drug creep. You are gonna be in jail for a long time, besides who tied you up?" an office questions.

"Some twin youngsters and a lil girl had a gun to ma head." He replies.

"Tskk tskk! You allow some teenagers to take you out. Ha that's just low." The cop says, shoving the drug creep into the police car.

We come out of hiding and head back to the car smiling. At least we have a lead. The boys took me back home. When I reached home I ate dinner with the family and went up to resume my work. I searched up the place we would be going to next. I called Dan and informed him that we would check out the place in the next two day, not tomorrow. Tomorrow I have a date with Josh and I didn't want any distractions. This thought left me with a tingly feeling before I drifted off to sleep.
