7 CHAPTER 6

School's finally over! This has been one of the longest days of my life. I walk of out class with Dave and Dan at my heels. They are yet to tell me why they are here. Just as we turn the corner we are ambushed...........by a group of giggling girls. If all the movies I've watched serve me right then I know where this is going.

    "Heyyyyyy!"one girl who is twirling her hair between her fingers purrs.

I just roll my eyes at this.

   "Who are you two good looking species?"another flirts.

At this point I almost laugh at their lame pick up lines. So I decide to be annoying and reply, 

     "They are called boys and I'm a girl like you."

The boys snickered behind me and the girls looked ready to jump me. I turn and walk away with the boys whiles girls are murmuring angrily.

   "Damn,A you've become more feisty." Dan teases.

   "What can I say? They deserved it." I shrug.

We make our way towards the exit before I realize that I don't know how I'm gonna get home, whether by bus or Candace is gonna come for me. I expressed my concern to the boys but they didn't show concern cause they said they were gonna drop me off.

   "Sweet ride!" I say when I see the car the boys took from the headquarters.

   "Yeah! We know." Dan beams at me and I smack him on his head for his lack of decency.

When we jump into the car and Dave drives off towards my place,I turn my attention to my laptop and notice a message from Mentor.

From the research done it is believed that the drug dealers are smuggling drugs out of the country in three weeks time. Find out their location and give me feedback. The twins have been assigned to you as back up. Good Luck~Mentor.

"Hey guys, are you aware that drugs are being packaged to be smuggled in three weeks time?" I ask.

"Yeah, Mentor told us about it before we came." Dave replies.

"I need to check out the location I have. Come by tomorrow after school and we'll go check out the locations together."

I thank the boys and hop outta the car and into the house.

"Hey guys I'm back!" I holler when I see no one in the living room. No response. I go up to the room and I see Janice at her side of the room with her AirPods stuck deep in her ears that she didn't hear me come in.

How dare she leave me at school and sit here unconcerned?

I go over and poke her.

"Owwww!dweeb what was that for?"

"Maybe it's for leaving me at school without any information as to how to come back." I say nonchalantly.

"Oh puleeease"she says with an eye roll. "As though I didn't see you walking with those twins today."

"That still doesn't give you any reason to ditch me."

"Whatevs. Besides how do you even know them anyway?"

"Uhhh.... I just met them today."I say nervously.

"Naa you guys look like you've been friends since forever."she eyes me suspiciously.

"Mind your own business, would you?" I snap at her but she still looks at me with suspicion.

I go to my side of the room and turn on my laptop and start researching on the drug dealings in Oklahoma. At the end of my work I am clue less as to where to start looking. I sigh in frustration just when my phone makes a sound indicating I have a message. The message is from Ivy.

Ivy💛: Hey girl. Where did you disappear to after school??🤨

Me: Oh yeah... sorry about that.I left with some other people😬

Ivy💛: Which people?

Me: Two friends of mine. They dropped me home because Janice dear ditched me.

Ivy: Oh sorry that's bad. Okay I gotta go now but I'll see you at school tomorrow? And don't forget our lunch date with Josh😊 Good night.

Me: Sure see you tomorrow. AND it's not a lunch date😂 Good night.

   As I get some shut eye for tomorrow my last thoughts are on a pair of green eyes.
