Disastrous Incarnation: Surreal-Reincarnation Gone Wrong

An office in a certain publishing company, the ceiling covered with lights and ten desks aligned in three rows, with a total of thirty. Each of these desks all had a complete office set, from files down to stashes of papers. It was a standard office desk.

Most of the desks had all been cleared, and not a single person could be seen in the large office, for it was closing hours. But in this big supposedly empty office, there was but one person who had yet to finish up and head home. Unlike the other desks, this person's own was filled and littered with piles upon piles of paper. By seeing this, one could tell he had a heavy workload.

It was a black haired man with a lifeless expression and deep dark circles around his eyes. His face was very thin, his cheek bones were visibly outlined over the tining flesh.

His facial hair clouded most of his jaws. He had the look of a homeless man. The half dead seeming man was seated in the middle row, in the fifth desk, staring earnestly at the computer screen as his fingers repeatedly beat against keys of the keyboard. But what was this man still doing at this hour? It was obvious he hadn't finished up all of his work.

A deadline. This man had a huge deadline to catch up with, and had barely gone half way through his huge workload. In the big empty office, all that could be heard was the ticking of the clock which overlapped with the continuous crunching of the keyboard. The silence was soon broken by a creakong noise made by the door.

The black haired man heard this and shifted his attention away from the screen, to the door where a young man in a white shirt buttoned half way through stood.

"...."

"Eh!?"

"You're still here, Trevor!?"

The white shirted man said with a slightly surprised look. He hadn't expected anyone in the office by this time.

"Y-yeah…"

The black haired man(Trevor) answered lifelessly.

"Yeah, I've got a few things left to do, so…" He continued, but trailed off mid-sentence.

"Really, man?" the white shirted man said, while walking into the office with concern written all over his face,

"you're not going to pull another all-nighter, are you? You really should head home 'n rest you know." His concerned expression didn't waver. This wasn't the first time Trevor had stayed out this late after closing hours. This was Trevor's fifth day in a row staying out late working. Trevor had pulled five all-nighters for five good days now.

"So, what are you doing back here?" Trevor with his usual lifeless tone asked. The white haired man walked up to a desk and picked up a few things and said, "Oh, uh, I'm just here to pick up a few things I left back."

"Oh."

"Yeah. Well then, I'll be leaving." The white shirt man said heading out the door. He stopped right before the door and said with a dry smile, "Make sure you head home and get some sleep, you look terrible." before finally heading out the door.

Trevor then returned his attention back to the screen and continued crunching the keyboard.

Some hours more passed and Trevor began rounding up his work, and under his breath said,

"Guess I'll head home today." He let out a big yawn and unsteadily got to his feet. He gave out a stretch with his arms above his head. He went for his coat and bag, before leaving the room.
