6 Chapter 5

Chapter 5:

Gabriel P.O.V

"Everyone has arrived Gabriel, you are the last to join." Zarra walks in my room and leans against one of the wooden beams of the canopy of my bed. While I button up my shirt, I Gaze at her through the mirror making sure she doesn't notice. She looks ravishingly beautiful tonight. Her black dress was skin tight all the way down to her hips to where the slit of the dress reveals her model like legs, her legs look toned especially with her black heels. The dress has black and crocodile jasper swarovski crystals embroidered into the corset of the dress, which pushes her cleavage just enough to be sexy but not too much. Her thick black hair was pulled back into a bun.

"I see you staring." She giggles.

"I'm just looking at your beauty... it's astonishing." I say rolling up my sleeves.

"Are you flirting with me my Lord?" She says as she sits on the bed facing me. I turn to face her.

"I'd never." I laugh as I lean against my dresser.

"Wearing any underwear?"

"So you're one of those creeps?" She cuckles.

"I might guess the color though." I cross my arms and give her a thinking face.

"If you guess right, I will let you see."

"Ima say black." I start making my way to her as she opens her legs but in that exact moment Cayden enters my room smiling like a damn fool.

Zarra quickly comes to her feet and glares at him.

"Do you not know how to knock?" She spat.

His smile only becomes bigger as he taunts her.

"Aww did I cock block you Zarra?"

" 'ahmaq sakhif." She snaps and walks out the room. *fucking idiot*

"Was it something I said?" He asks as he hands me a glass of blood mixed with wine.

I laugh and take a sip. "She'll get over it."

"I never imagined you with Zarra to be honest." He says.

"Who said I was with her?"

"You're such a dog you put those crescents to shame." He laughs.

"I haven't even touched her." I exclaimed, trying to stay serious. "Her left ear." We both fall into laughter.

"Kamado is here." Cayden says seriously. "So is Sonia."

"I bet he is." I finished my drink. "She's just an added bonus."

"How are you really thinking of handling this brother?" He asks.

"I have yet to know but for now all I know is..." I gave him a sweet smile. "I'm going to have his claws for a necklace."

I stood surrounded by Olympus, Ken, Cayden, Zarra and Lilith as we talked and enjoyed the wonderful party Olithia has been able to coordinate in such a short time. But who better for these such things than Olithia Tellurian. She had paid a witch to make our ceiling resemble the night sky and a full moon shined throughout the house. The lights were dimmed down enough so the moon from the ceiling would be the main light for this party. Over at the garden room where Caydeb's Dogwood tree is, it has been enchanted to be in full bloom covered in white flowers. Whereas the wall behind it is just pure green from the leaves cascading down to the pond. I glanced into the pond and all the koi fishes were pure white. If this wasn't a secret mission to kill Kamado I'd say this would have been a lovely party. Too bad Othilia, I must have Kamado's head.

"Where's Othilia?" Ken asks looking around.

There goes my peace.

"She's with Rosabella." I say taking a gulp of my bloody wine.

Man, if Zarra's eyes were dagger I'd be impaled by now.

"So you casually call her by her name?" She asks amused.

"He has always called his marked ones by his names Zarra." Olympus defends me.

You tell her Oly!

"If I do recall correctly, he has never allowed one of them to attend one of his parties before. Am I right Olympus?" She says looking straight behind him.

We all look at the direction she has been looking at and I can honestly say I wasn't expecting to be this delighted to see a marked one before.

There they were Othilia and Rosa, at the end of the staircase talking to each other. Othilia wore a dashing mint green dress that complimented her shape and height as where Rosa wore a White gown that is flowy and elegant.

"No, he never has." Olympus says taking a sip of his drink giving me the 'I tried bro' face.

I gave him a 'you're shit' face .

I faced Zarra who was glaring right at Rosa.

I might as well play her like a fiddle.

"Why do you seem so upset, Zarra?" I ask.

"I'm simply surprised with your actions Lord Gabriel, nothing more." She says trying to keep a straight face.

"A human in an all vampire and crescent party doesn't seem to like your taste, rather seems like the late kings." She cocky smirks at me.

"A king does as a King sees." I say bitterly as the hunting laughs of my father chant in my head.

"Zarra, that's enough!" Cayden Glares at her as he places his hand on my back.

He leans to my ear. "You mustn't let her get to you."

"I am but well brother." I say glaring at Zarra who only smirks back at me.

"If you allow me, I must say my thank yous to my sister for such a lovely party." I bow but before I turn around I made sure Zarra would see my smile.

Check mate.

"Such lovely decorations." I say once close enough to Othilia.

Othilia Smiles widely. "I'm thankful you like it brother." She gestures with her eyes to Rosa, who is standing quietly looking down to her crossed hands.

"You look lovely tonight Rosa." I said it before I could even compute what I had said.

She blushes but doesn't make eye contacts. "Thank you Lord Gabriel." She says sweetly.

I look up at Othilia who is grinning at me, her face is telling me 'uh-huh' I frown at her.

"No," I mouth at her.

"I'll be right back, I must see why Cayden is calling for me, you see, me being the good hostess that I am." She waves goodbye at us.

Ima get her for this.

"Lord Gabriel." Rosa's soft voice broke through the music.

"Hm?" I hummed.

"I must thank you for your kind hospitality, I wasn't expecting it to be like this." She says making eye contact with me for the first time tonight. I gawk at her, she's quite beautiful for a human. Her skin soft, eyes filled with life... and... and.. Fear...

"Nothing to be thankful for, it's the best I could do, it's to make you comfortable for the next three years." I harshly say.

She looks back down to her hands.

"You're right, but still... Thank you Lord Gabriel."

I look at her as if I'm looking at something I have never seen in my life... She's so kind.

"Have you eaten?" I ask changing subjects.

"Not since this morning." she says.

"I will take you to the kitchen where someone will prepare you something to eat, this party is going to be all night."

"I have yet to adjust to these hours, I might-"

"I understand if you need to retire early. But even so, you must eat now." I gesture to her to follow me.

"Lord Gabriel!" A woman calls out cheerfully. "Hi! Remember me?"

"No." I plainly said.

"Ouch," She laughs awkwardly. "I'm Esther," She got uncomfortably close. "You know the one from Will's party."

I still have no clue who she is.

"Oh... That still doesn't ring any bells." I say unamused.

"Are you going to feed?" She asks, glancing over to Rosa. "She looks very pretty, she must taste it as well."

"I am-"

"May I join?" She interrupts trying to get a hold of my arm as she giggles like a highschool girl.

I snatched my arm away from her and took a hold of her neck, I held her up from the ground. The music stopped and Cayden was beside me trying to lower her.

"Come on brother, let her go." Cayden whispered calmly to me.

I glare at Esther as she squirms trying to free herself from my grip.

'rip her!' my father's voice chants over and over in my head as my grips tighten on Esther's neck. 'killer'.

"It was not only rude of you to interrupt me as I spoke, but to even suggest that I would share my marked one with you, truly brash and I find it quite distasteful." I tighten my grip. 'kill her'

"Lord Gabriel please!" A tall slim man bowed on the floor and spoke. "Please, she is my sister, I beg you to exchange her life for mine."

"Brave of you to assume I would take your life over hers." I say angered.

'kill them all'

I grunt trying to quiet the hunting voice.

I'm truly annoyed at this point, if I continue on not only do I have to explain myself to the Masters about Kamado's death but over this bimbos life or her dumbwit brother as well.

"Brother." Cayden Warns.

It all went quiet. I slightly felt Rosa tug on my shirt from behind, I could also feel the trembling of her hand. All of a Sudden an overwhelming feeling of guilt enveloped me to the point I was angry at myself. I loosen my grip and Esther fell like a rag doll.

"Take yours and leave." Cayden says helping both Esther and her brother up from the floor. The music had continued to play and everyone's eyes stopped wandering around. It was as if nothing had happened.

'Rosabella' My mother's voice whispers in my head.

"Ro-" She's trembling. Tears were falling down her face. I took her hand and warped us to the kitchen. The maid who had been preparing food bowed to me.

"Leave and don't let anyone enter." I order.

Once the maid was gone I let go of Rosa who stood trembling.

"I wasn't going to kill her." I try to justify myself.

"You don't need to explain yourself to me Lord-"

"We're alone." I say raking my finger through my hair, I let out a tiresome sigh.

"I'm sorry." She says.

"I don't fancy to be touched." I say making my way to the fridge. What the hell does she eat? I saw her eat oatmeal this morning, but she hardly touched it, so Cayden informed me. I see some platters with shrimps, crackers, cheese, olives and toothpicks. Do I give her that? That wouldn't be enough for her will it? Damn it... I shouldn't have asked the maid to step out. I'm such a brute.

I still feel a sudden urge of anger from earlier coursing through me, I have yet to calm myself completely. I peer behind me, she's still standing like a statue in the middle of the kitchen.

I really must have frightened her... Such a meek woman.

I sigh.

"What would you like to eat?" I ask.

"Anything would be good Lor-Gabriel." Her voice shook.

"I'm not going to harm you." I say truly meaning what I'm telling her.

"I have never witnessed something like that before." I faced her as she spoke. "I'm just shaken by it, I'll be fine." She forces herself to smile at me.

There that look again... The same one she had given me last night.

I gave her a small smile. "Good."

"If you had any intentions of killing me... I know you would have done it last night." She says bravely.

Well damn...

Her naked body came to mind, I blushed while I saw her smile sweetly at me. She truly is something, not only is she a meek woman, she has her moments to be brave enough to speak to me as if I am not a killer to her.

"You're my marked one for the next three years... I wouldn't kill you off that easy."

I'm such an idiot. Why did I have to go and say that? She was just starting to simmer down.

"I know." She gives me a nervous chuckle.

I stood before her placing the platter right on the counter besides her.

"Eat." I ordered.

"Thanks." She sat on the stool and began to eat.

I simply stared agog as she ate. I can never recall ever feeding one of my marked ones before. There's something about her I just can't put my finger on. She's human, I have been tolerable to humans but never this considerate. This... Kind.

"Are you hungry?" She asks.

Come to think of it, I am.

"Yes."
