1 (EDT) Chapter 1
'Activate the Luna Device for me.' a male in his early twenties whispered while hiding behind the wall. Both of his hands were holding firm on a pistol placed between his sight.
About a week ago, he was just a nobody.
He is still one now but somewhat better at keeping himself alive while scavenging for the goods to be brought back to where he came from.
[The sensor spotted eleven targets. Advising the user to proceed carefully]
A response came from the mysterious sound that introduced itself as Stein.
'Alright... Let us get rid of these zombies before we return, shall we?' said the youngster. Looking at the Luna Device on his wrist, it seems that the nearest target was roughly fifteen steps away from him.
He quickly took the opportunity to stretch the stiff muscles from holding the pistol in one position for too long.
The targets are the walking dead or zombie from all kinds of big movies, games, and novels. Of course, those were all fiction, but the targets before him were all true, moving undead.
The eleven of them were moving randomly inside this building. These things seem to be searching for something, but nobody knows what drives them to do so.
If he were to take what happened from those movies he watched as a life lesson, this is where he should be running and hiding. Unfortunately, for this youngster named Zhang Qin Feng, scavenging for precious stuff here pays much better than his daily part-time job.
In his hand was a pistol with the name "Phalanx X-02" printed on the barrel. Although it only has a single firing mode, the pistol's low recoil and suppressed muzzle made it the perfect weapon to hunt the zombies in discreet.
"Woo..." the zombie was a few steps away from where Zhang Qin Feng is when it made a sound.

The suppressed shot Zhang Qin Feng taken took down the zombie instantly. But no matter how careful he is, noise is bound to be made when the zombie drops on the ground.
The body that fell dead for sure this time started to release a stench that attracted the other zombies over. In that instant, the ten targets moved faster up the stairs to where the stench was coming from.
'Quickly grab what you can before we're leaving.' Zhang Qin Feng ordered Stein to follow up. A flash of light soon scanned past the dead body before something appeared in his pocket.

'Only a few bullets and Antiviral Material...' Zhang Qin Feng retreats and hides behind the door into the building's master bedroom.
This place is undoubtedly safer because the door can be locked. But the range of safety also depends on how bad things turn out when shit happens.
"Woo..." another zombie arrived shortly after Zhang Qin Feng gently shut the door. Using the gap between the broken part between the wooden door to monitor the situation outside, he witnessed the heartlessness of how a zombie devours another zombie.
The third zombie soon appeared on the same floor and walked straight to Zhang Qin Feng's room.
'Fuck. It's coming right here.' he complained. But the gun was pointed at the height of the zombie's head while he did.

The shot took the zombie out straight after piercing through the zombie's skull. It was followed by the noise of the dead zombie falling backward.
*Thump!*
This time, the noise got all the zombie's attention. They became agitated as the eight targets stormed into the building in a hurry towards his position.

Stein absorbs the drops automatically this time. But the fact he was given a packet of biscuits from the kill demotivates him.
'Fuck... A packet of biscuits?'
"Can't you drop a grenade or two instead?" Zhang Qin Feng complained, but his hand hardly stopped as he took a few steps back and befoe shooting at the zombie struggling to break the wooden door apart.
"Roar!!!" the sound from the zombies got louder when all of them were gathered outside of the room. There was only a half-broken door separating them apart.
But only seven zombies were gathered outside of the door attempting to break inside this room. The other two zombies were more into eating the first zombie Zhang Qin Feng killed.
"Come." Zhang Qin Feng's pistol no longer aiming at the zombies that were almost coming through the door.
His pistol was aiming at the rope holding a wooden wardrobe from falling down to the ground. The moment the zombie got through the door, he would release the heavy furniture on the zombie to crush them.
Two zombies quickly struggled through the gap between the doors and attempting to charge forward.

Zhang Qin Feng fired a shot at the rope and let the furniture do the work on his behalf. The wooden furniture also acted as a deterrence. It blocked two-thirds of the door and prevented the zombies from following the footstep of the two zombies crushed on the floor.
"Two more before I made my escape. Eat my lead, you sucker!" Zhang Qin Feng said while firing two shots at the zombie before leaving without Stein's looting report.
Going over to the one and only window inside the room, He grabbed the rope prepared earlier to help him land on the ground floor safely.
When he stably stands on the ground, Zhang Qin Feng quickly distances himself from the two-floors tall terrace house.

"Nice! I got a shard this time! " Zhang Qin Feng smiled after he saw the Duranium Shard on the list. But his happiness was a short-loved one because the zombie inside the house already coming at him.
Because the zombies had no sense of pain to start with, they could crudely come down from the upper floor and get back on their feet as soon as possible.
The zombies that started to chase after him quickly picked up their speed in pursuit. With neither pain nor tired physical body, the zombies could pursue relentlessly until their target was exhausted.
Of course, one of his reasons for not moving to the highest floor was because Zhang Qin Lan is not confident with his ability. Although there's Stein by his side helping, it still takes him a lot of experience and guts to be able to do what the main cast in those zombies movies often did.

Zhang Qin Feng pulled the trigger and fired three shots at the target, but none of the shots was fatal like his first few kills. His attempts managed to get the zombies, but the wound was too shallow to make a difference.
'Stein, how's the dimensional charge doing? Do I have enough energy to return?' Zhang Qin Feng asked. He continued to fire his gun at random and eventually took another zombie down.
[Dimensional Travel is ready. A portal can be activated at any time]
The system quickly responds to Zhang Qin Feng's question. A ring of light appeared around Zhang Qin Feng as he was about to get ready.
"Great! Maintain the return portal until I give the instruction to initiate the transfer. Let's hope that we'll get something valuable before stepping into the portal." he said.
But the bad news came a little too fast.
"Roar!" the zombies that landed on the ground first were about to catches up with Zhang Qin Feng. It was much faster than Zhang Qin Feng, who already got a little tired from the parkour workout.
"Activate now! Quickly!" having no more time to continue exploring his surrounding, Zhang Qin Feng instructed to be brought to somewhere.
A circle of light immediately took Zhang Qin Feng out from the open as he ran through the portal with blinding lights. Soon, his surrounding changed into a wall decorated with naked and half-naked calendar girls.
Failing to control his speed after appearing inside this hardly five meters wide studio, Zhang Qin Feng slammed onto the concrete wall and almost ended up with a nosebleed.
But mentally, he felt he was doing fine because the spot where his head landed first was where the cleavage of the calendar girl poster is located.
