15 The End of a Saga

Edward looked at the owner of the voice who jumped into the room with a huge briefcase in his hand. He already guessed that that part was the last member of Shinobu which if you take that one would just miss the heart

"boy, did you bring my member?" Shinobu took the front of Edward pushing him backwards causing the boy to fall on his head as she ran forward

"yes, here it is" Meme Oshino the balance man replied smiling and handed the bag to Shinobu who took it from his hand at record speed and disappeared from the room

Edward who was a vampire almost as strong as Shinobu in her prime as he was her subordinate and she was weakened could see her running in slow motion out of the room

Meme and Hanekawa only had different reactions with Hanekawa literally widening her eyes in surprise and then shrugging her shoulders as she was used to Shinobu and Edward's power demonstrations.

Meme on the other hand gave a little whistle before pulling a cigarette out of her pocket and lighting it.

"Smoking is bad for your health" Hanekawa asserted from afar, reassembling the chess pieces in their proper places while staring at the meme with the obvious intention of reprimanding him

"don't worry it won't be the cigarette that will kill me" Meme replied with a light laugh as she took the cigarette out of the ball to blow out the smoke

"So what's the last mission to get Kiss-Shot's heart?" Edward asked narrowing his eyes.

He had nothing left to lose, as Shinobu was almost completely recovered, and he would have her support if he lost the fight against Meme that stole Kiss-Shot's heart.

"what are you talking about?" Hanekawa asked curiously "when was Shinobu-Chan's heart stolen?"

She didn't remember anything about Kiss-Shot's heart in the contract, and she didn't even know that her heart had also been stolen

Then she looked at Meme suspiciously already foreseeing the scam that the supposed Supernatural Expert was trying to pull off and stood up, moving as far away from the expert who was several meters away from her and hiding behind Edward's back.

Edward glanced at Hanekawa with approval, she figured out what was going on faster than he'd imagined and had the good choice of hiding behind him.

This means that despite having to protect her in case Meme attacks her to use her as a hostage, he will at least have her closer to him so that he can act in her protection instead of running to her betting a race with Meme

"You know Edward-Kun, at first I wanted to fight you to achieve balance, but I realized it was impossible. You're not just a normal boy but a psychopath who has achieved great power..." Meme said if positioning for the fight and then sighed as his body relaxed after taking a drag on his cigarette. "That's what I thought when I saw you fighting Dramaturgy and Guillotine, but I realized that's not it, you feel empathy only on a scale smaller than normal people, but has an iron will to protect those you consider important"

Meme sighed and lifted her arm to the side causing something to glow in his hand and a beating heart to appear in his hand. That was the heart of Kiss-shot and Edward could feel from a distance that there was a lot of power in him.

Almost as much power as Edward had on his own. Only Kiss-shot's heart was almost as powerful, and it made his stomach churn and take a deep breath to accept this cruel truth.

"so finally decided to give back my heart, Boy?" Shinobu said entering the room and getting everyone's attention

She is huge and Edward had to look up to see her face, though her beauty was still as divine as the time he found her bleeding on the train station floor.

"Yes, I figured I didn't stand a chance against your subordinate," Meme said with a funny huff looking to the side as she threw her heart in the air.

"no" Edward and Hanekawa spoke at the same time and when they tried to step forward to try to save the heart a blur passed by them and caught the heart and the sound of something colliding with something else strongly was heard

Edward and Hanekawa looked at the wall where the blur hit and the wall had a huge hole in the shape of a two-meter person

"Kakaka, that was close" Shinobu laughed walking past the wall and looking at Edward and Hanekawa showing them a thumbs up

A strange action on her part since Kiss-Shot Aka Shinobu herself was a cold and cruel person, just the fact that she showed such action was that something inside her softened

"well done" Edward was the first to come back to reality and applaud the Shinobu scene and looked away "Meme, that wasn't funny... where is he"

"Runaway when Shinobu jumped to get the heart," Tsubasa said pointing to the window with a naughty smile "so, want a rematch?"

"kaka, but of course I will, I'll defeat you" Shinobu said amused running to the table and sitting down.

She then looked at Edward and patted her legs "sit here with me"

Edward smiled and ran to sit on Shinobu's lap who was now bigger than him and she placed her chin on top of his head.

before waiting for Hanekawa to sit down to start the game. Before it all started Edward felt the phone in his pocket vibrate

"what?" He asked himself taking his cell phone out of his pocket and an alligator appeared in a hologram

He looked back to see if Shinobu had seen the alligator already looking for an explanation when he realized that both she and Hanekawa were frozen in time.

"What happened?" Edward asked confused
