Dimensional Overhaul is one of the few novels that I actually took my time to invest in and read. I found it in my recommendation below my novel, underneath the category "You may also like", and decided to give this novel a try. (The Synopsis was gripping.) From the start, the world automatically has this untameable grip on you, immediately pulling and tossing you into a relentless, harsh, and bitterly cold setting of snow-covered mountains after the vague explanation that was made in the Prologue. It is as if by reading, your emotions can connect to the character and their abrupt transport into this awe-gripping world from the start, showing you the flow of life and the ways of living of the characters. The words construed upon this piece are one to take note of, as in every sentence and description, you can vividly fabricate this image inside your head and follow it through; maybe reinforcing it by the descriptions the author shares to grant this overall immersive style. I for one take full inspiration of this, and hopefully I will be able to replicate it in my works. But that shouldn't be one of your worries. In Dimensional Overhaul, you can HEAR the world, you can SEE the world, listen to its characters, and most importantly, you can FEEL it. That is one of the best elements of writing I absolutely love. For the sake of not spoiling it, I won't elaborate and go into depth on too much of the novel within this review, because I want you to find it out yourself. All I have to say about this gem of a novel I found among the forest of stories stored in this vista and atlas of narratives, is that this novel is one of the few that actually grip me into suspense, humor, and attention without granting me false and short-term promises like "some other novels." I again encourage and urge you to give Dimensional Overhaul a try. In anyway, you will NOT be disappointed.
I don't really read fantasy that much. But there is something so captivating about the writing that got me drawn to the story and I was scrolling through pages to read more. And oh my Kevin the protagonist is so likeable. I can't wait for his character growth to unravel as the story unfolds. This story is worth giving a shot
This is a great read! The grammar is neat, fluent in details, and shows a variety in character development. It’s always a nice touch when there’s a sense of realism revolving around a character’s beginning of abstaining strength/power. The action-packed chapters are marvelous with crisp details that paint the scenes. It’s hard finding a story that depicts a battle, and the challenges a character faces without being rushed. This is splendid. 5/5
The writing quality is superb, the updates are steady, the stop is well developed, the characters are amazing, and this is one of the best stories Webnovel has to offer. Almost a 5 out of 5 stars. The only thing I think it could use is a little more description of what the setting and characters look like.
A well action packed novel 😊 Review after reading the latest chapter 25 release. (Warning: Might contain spoilers. Though there is a spoiler tag, I don't want to use it since it removes the space of my review.) Writing Quality. The narratives flows smoothly and the action scenes were describe vividly. There are g-errors but from the author's note, he said that he would be starting fixing it. Other than that everything is written well where you could visualized the story well. Story Development. With the 25 chapters there is still not much reveal yet to the identity of Kevin and his forgotten past. Though you could still somewhat make presumptions on the prologue and synopsis that maybe he is one of those generations who got the power of that most powerful guy? or he could be that guy itself. I guess? Then to the flow of the story, it was quite nice. Since of his memory loss, and really don't have any idea of most things in his surroundings. The readers got to learn more about the world as when he learned something new. Making it really not sounding infodumps. A good use of the ml's situation I must say. Character Design. Alright, Kevin could be somewhat naive well probably because of his memory loss. Lilith, well she is a nice partner for Kevin I guess. Her haugtiness and sometimes snarky speech matched well with Kevin's attitude. The other characters as well are intriguing in their own ways. And I'm curious about the identity of Klein as well. Updating Stability. Though most readers wanted frequent updates but I must say to just take your time author on honing each chapter. Quality > Quantity. World Background. Though there are still many yet to discover but the settings set so far in the story were detailed. From the village, their traits and there were also mentions of other worlds that we would probably see as the story progressed. Overall if you enjoy action packed novels with a touch of superpowers then you will probably enjoy reading this. Keep it up, author!
Firstly, not bad, I must say. The world-building is quite good and the issues are minimal. Loving the MC as well. Synopsis: Could have done a little better tbh. It's not bad but it's not all that captivating either. Could use some work to draw in more readers. Writing Quality: It's far from terrible but there are minor grammatical errors. There are capitalization issues, incorrect word usage, the incorrect form of words, etc. Some readers won't be bothered by this but others might find it quite bothersome so I would advise the author to fix these issues. Story Development: Quite nice honestly. As I've stated before, I like Kevin's character (excluding the weird way his memory loss is brought about). The introduction of his character and the diversity of magic was done well. Character Design: Not much said but this is a matter of preference. I always say this but some readers rather to imagine how their characters look rather than have them described for them. So it goes either way. Overall, not a bad story. It indeed has a lot of potential to become better. I urge you author to keep giving it your best. Great job so far!!
