4 Magic?

Luckily for Kevin, the beast appeared from the top of the mountain, leaving him with but a single path for escaping which was to descend.

"Is it still chasing?" Kevin inwardly thought while taking a glance behind him.

The body of the man who utilized magic was severely bleeding, unless he regained his consciousness and amended his wounds he was very likely to die. Perhaps that was why the beast decided to ignore him, knowing this.

In hopes of losing it, Kevin ran towards the forest which was conveniently near the mountain. However, unlike what he had hoped for, the yeti beast began to swing from tree to tree gaining on him.

It was only due to his speed that he had not been caught yet. Not giving up, Kevin ran between trees, changing his direction now and then wanting to confuse it.

"Yes, I have alm-".

Kevin's happy thoughts came down crashing down on him as he slipped on a tree root causing him to fall and roll a few times due to the momentum.

Thud! The beast's landing created ear-racking noise startling Kevin.

"Fuck it!" Kevin yelled as he threw a rock towards it. The likelihood of the beast being killed by a rock was like him sprouting wings to aid in his escape. Yet despite the odds, he hoped for some good results.

When the rock collided with its chest, the beast stood there dumbstruck with a face saying "Really?". Although its face was covered by the mask, Kevin could feel disappointment seeping from it.

"Maybe I should have just stuck its groin area," Kevin said while letting out a regretful sigh.

Quickly gaining its composure, the beast ran towards Kevin throwing a fist with enough power to demolish a tree. Although strong it was quite slow, giving Kevin enough time to side-step and strike its chest area.

Contrary to his expectations, the beast's skin was too dense rather causing injuries to his fists. Blood began to drip from his knuckles as he constantly continued striking it hoping to hurt it yet none of his attacks went through.

With a nasty smirk hidden behind the mask, the beast hastily grabbed Kevin's arm, throwing him into a nearby tree. The force of the throw destroyed the tree, showing the beast's remarkable strength.

The beast began to hit its chest furiously, declaring its strength while giving a domineering shout.

While coughing, a bit of blood began to trickle down Kevin's mouth. His body was quite sturdy even shocking the beast. A throw of such caliber is usually enough to kill a normal person.

'I'm lucky it's the kind of beast that loves to play with its prey instead of finishing the job at once,' Kevin thought while slowly getting back on his feet.

'It's strong. Too strong! But... I am not gonna die here!' Kevin inwardly encouraged himself as he began to walk slowly to the beast.

His slow steady walking changed into a fast pace, then further evolved into running at maximum speed. He let out a battle cry while charging in. Looking at Kevin, the beast thought he had gone mad from fear, it did not hesitate before throwing out another punch is its own.

Dodging it by the skin of his teeth, he raised his arms throwing a chunk of snow in each eye blurring its vision.

'If I can't penetrate your skin, I'll target other areas,'.

Using both of its torso-sized hands, the beast began to rub its eyes in an attempt to regain its vision.

After a few seconds of rubbing, it successfully managed to clear its eyes. As soon as it did, the only thing it saw was two pointy objects before Kevin shoved two pointy sticks into its eye sockets blinding it completely. Opening its mouth, it let out a loud wail which described the amount of pain it was feeling. Blood immediately began to gush out of its eyes like a broken fountain.

"Serv....es you rig..ht!" Kevin said aloud with a smile. He was learning fast adapting to the situation and using his environment such as the sticks created by the previous attack. Now, he only wished he could perform perfect sentences.

However, to his surprise, before he could back away a large pair of beastly hands grabbed him attempting to squeeze him to death. In a rage, the beast planned on squeezing Kevin to death. Even though its vision was destroyed, it could still locate him based on smell and hearing.

"Le..t g...o," Kevin managed to seep out a few words before he began punching it randomly to loosen its grip. Yet, it failed to yield results.

Kevin was slowly fading away while still hitting the beast in random areas. However, the beast ignored his feeble punches aiming to crush him to death. Kevin then placed his hands on its arm trying to remove it forcefully.

Swish! Before he lost consciousness, the tattoo on his arm illuminated. Black lines began to crawl up the beast's arms to its neck area. Before it could reach further, the beast threw Kevin away hoping to rid its body of the odd feeling.

Like a ball, Kevin's body began to roll through the snow, halting after a few seconds. With a dumbfounded expression, he gazed at his right arm which was lit like a Christmas tree yet only bright green.

'What is this?' Kevin asked himself.

When the lines appeared on the beast's body he felt himself gaining strength as though he was a parasite. His feeling was right, the beast felt weaker and was heavily inhaling and exhaling.

Roar!

The beast let out an almighty roar before running towards Kevin wanting to kill him instantly. Although it was now blind, it did not let that stop him from attempting to kill Kevin.

'It's coming,' Kevin inwardly warmed himself.

In the spur of the moment, Kevin stumbled to the ground when he attempted to run once more.

"Shit," he cursed.

Leaping into the air, the beast looked majestic mid-air while planning to slam Kevin into the ground.

Instinctively, Kevin raised his right arm to block. Although he knew the strength of the beast would kill him, he had to do something to protect himself.

At that moment, Lightning began to violently flicker around him. When the beast's fists collided with Kevin's arm a 'boom' sound was created. Echoing through the forest.
