53 Gotta go fast!

Hopping into the armored carriage, he could tell Dante was impressed.

"Hey, this is kinda like special forces. Is that bulletproof glass over there?"

"Yeah bro, we gotta ride in style right?"

Seeing the guards reaction, he told them they were both from the same distant country. To other people, they might be speaking what amounted to gibberish. Continuing to show him the features, they made good time down the road.

Platforms were extended out, as well as handrails, so the guards could grab onto the side of the carriage. It was just large enough, to be comfortable, and was preferred over marching alongside it. In this manner, they were able to move quickly.

Normally carriages wouldn't go above a certain speed, due to how badly it would shake the passengers. He had the system adapt some very efficient sports suspensions, along with shock absorbers.

Although he didn't know the exact formula or dimensions, the system was able to run simulations, eventually incorporating the concept. With the system, he could also make improvements or repairs on the fly.

Barreling down the road, nothing was brave enough to get in their way. Using six enhanced Big Horn cattle, he was able to swap them out, once they got tired. With fresh animals being put out, they reached the town in record time.

Stepping out of the carriage, both young men were chatting.

"Haha, that was so much fun bro, totally reminds of cars back home. You've spoiled me, buddy, I never thought I'd feel a modern suspension again."

"How much do you think we could charge for the design for a smooth ride?"

"I've felt how bumpy the others were, we could probably charge out the rear!"

Guards came over greeting them, he left a few a vegetables with the guards, after he finished selling them their orders. Once they got into the city itself, they moved on to each store and address. The system had given him directions, so each stop was planned for and properly routed.

With Zanir, Dante, and a few guards, they were able to retrieve the goods from the carriage. Bringing them out, they would set them in front of the area, or bring them inside, according to the customer's wishes. It was such a fast delivery service, impressing the people deeply.

The coins kept pouring in, porting bag after bag, into the spatial world. He'd be able to purchase a ton of raw materials and goods, at the next major city. Everyone was impressed by the quality of the goods.

Talking with the store owners, they wanted to place more orders. Even larger orders if they could, although it was tempting, he told them that he was moving on for now. Assuring them that he'd return, he let know that soon, the company might be setting up an air force or transfer points.

Finishing up most of the stores, they came to the last one. Seeing Paul come out, he went over to greet him. When he found out that Zanir was leaving, he was sad, letting him know that he would wish for a safe journey and speedy return.

Going over the goods, he gave Alexis a moment to speak to him. Not really knowing how to take the news, she gave him a hug, then ran back to her room. He felt bad hurting her feelings, but it wasn't like he could stay here, his journey called him much farther.

Hopping back onto the carriage, they arrived at the city lord's estate. Captain Carter came out, seeing the familiar carriage he came over to greet them.

"Brother Zanir, glad to see you as always!"

"Brother Carter, how are you? Let me introduce you to one of my trading partners, Dante."

"Dante, this is brother Carter, captain of the guards."

Introducing the two, they hit it off well, talking about weapons and other things, while they entered the main hall. Lord Martin had come over, hearing that his favorite merchant was back. Bringing out the requested goods, he was even able to sell the city lord a suit, saying he had an extra on hand.

Lord Martin wanted to throw him a banquet when he heard that he was leaving, but Zanir politely declined. Citing that he was behind schedule, he let them know that he would be back soon. They would make more deals, also taking care of the city contracts.

Saying their goodbyes, they had a toast, to good health and safe journeys. Moving out quickly, they were able to pack up the payment and depart. It was one of the benefits of only bringing out a small team of men.

Once again on the open road, they could travel at a normal pace. It would take a few days to get to the next destination. The first mission! An old abandoned burial mound, that had been sealed for generations.

Keeping an eye out, they didn't see anything for the first two days. At this point, they'd traveled far enough on the main road. From this point on, they'd have to go off-road, into the wilderness. Taking a moment to make camp, they discussed what to do, going forward.

"We should bring out the wolves bro, they have a good sense of smell."

"You're right Dante, let's bring out the goblins too. They can ride the wolves, watch."

Bringing out more troops would make the journey take longer, but it would also be a lot safer. Running into something, before they even got to the mission site, would be embarrassing. Soon, a small camp was formed, by the side of the road.

Double checking their equipment and weapons, everyone was prepared. Moving off of the relatively flat road, they headed into the tall grasses at the side. Hacking down the grass, he was able to absorb it as they went through.

Eventually, they found a small trail, the first clue mentioned by senior Lee. Continuing down the small trail, they eventually found an area with a large overturned tree. It was the second clue mentioned, which meant they were getting closer.

Approaching farther, the wolves hesitated, growling at the nearby area ahead of them. Something was there, as they heard an even larger growling sound, coming from the bushes beyond. With a mighty roar, a large bear stomped onto the scene.

Dante was excited, preparing to take the beast out. Zanir called out to him.

"Wait! Don't kill him, we can absorb it."

Bruce came over, even he was about two feet shorter than the bear. Looking over, both of them asked him about the bear.

"Can you stall it?"

"Not for long hurry!"

Charging the bear, Bruce was able to grab his paws. Struggling to hold the beast, he wouldn't be able to keep it back for long. A moment was all Dante needed, however, as he sprung into action.

Leaping into a grand summersault, he waved his blade, actually clipping off the bear's claws. Turning his blade around, he used the flat end, to strike the bear square in the forehead. Dazing the beast, it gave Zanir and his men, the time needed to secure the bear.

Vines, together with Bruce and the men holding them, prevented the bear from breaking loose. Struggling for several minutes, he was finally able to absorb the large bear.
