50 Drunken Samurai System

"Wait, you have a system? You can't just skip over that. Tell me about it."

Looking slightly embarrassed, he replied.

"Ah, it's useless really. It's called the Drunken Samurai System. I get points for drinking and displaying my swordsmanship. Except that nobody here knows what a Samurai is, so how can I be recognized as one?"

"Are you having trouble with a quest or something Dante? I know what a Samurai is, you really do look like one. Shouldn't the system count me? Poof, you're a Samurai, Dante!"

Joking around together, they were laughing, when Dante suddenly cracked a huge smile.

"It worked, It worked! Watch this!"

Jumping around the room, he was very excited. Walking over to a nearby tree, he grabbed a handful of leaves, from a low branch. Flinging them upward, they scattered, spreading out chaotically in all directions.

Grabbing his sword handle, several flashes were all that could be seen. The leaves continued falling, for a split second, before they all split into two sections. Raising his fist, Dante roared out.

"Haha, I finally did! An entire handful of leaves, without missing a single leaf. Muhaha, everyone, witness my awesome overlord Samurai powers!"

Chuckling, Zanir couldn't help but wonder, what was Dante so excited about?

"Hey man, what are you doing? People are going to think you're crazy, you know that right?"

Scratching the back of his head, Dante could only cough nervously.

"Oh sorry, I might have gotten carried away there, just now. I was stuck on that main quest, ever since I got here. You just helped me complete it, as well as a side quest."

"Alright, you'll have to help me out next Dante. Let me tell you about my system, it might take a while, so let's have a drink and some dinner. Come inside, I'll introduce everyone properly this time."

Since the baron and tax collector had been taken care of, the whole issue was wrapped up and put behind them. He'd visit them later, to find out exactly how they knew it was him. He hadn't hidden his identity, but there was no way the baron would simply trust his subordinate's reports.

That kind of thing could wait for later, right now he invited Dante in, introducing him to his parents. He had the system prepare a few dishes they could enjoy, while he put out some of the Pale Ale, which Dante was excited to see.

Catching up on the events that happened recently, he was able to everyone about the expansions and new developments. There were so many shocking things that happened, his parents couldn't believe it. Even Dante was surprised at hearing how eventful his short trip was.

Showing off the jade dragon 'hand', he did a few tricks with it, like balancing cups. Answering questions about the deals, he also told them about the new sections and buildings. Hearing about the brewery, Dante couldn't help asking more.

"Wait a minute, you can make your own drinks? It can record whatever you drink? You can even make drinks from back home?"

Seeing the stars in his eyes, he couldn't help but tease him a little.

"Yes, it's true, too bad that I just hired a new manager though."

Dante looked bummed out hearing the news.

"Oh well, maybe we can stop by for a drink sometime? I actually have a sidequest to drink five different types of beer, I'm only a few types away now."

Seeing the expectant look on Dante's face, he almost felt bad for pranking the guy. Finishing up the meal, everyone was ready to see the spatial world. Hearing about the changes was one thing, but you had to see it for yourself sometimes, to truly understand it.

"Of course, though I'll have to ask you to keep this a secret. I won't tell anyone about your system, perhaps we can even help each other out."

"Yes Zanir, I won't tell anyone about it. We're the only ones from back there, so we should stick together."

Moving everyone into his world, people had various reactions, upon seeing it. Dante, having witnessed it for the first time, was blown away. This was an entire world of its own! His parents were shocked by how much larger it had become.

There were many more people inside, everyone was doing their own thing. It made the world feel like a small village now. Moving over to the brewery, they sat outside at one of the tables. Speaking to one of the servers, they left to get the order.

Returning with a sampler tray, there was an assortment of small cups, used for beer tasting. Dante was delighted to see so many types laid out, it was exactly what he needed. Chatting together over the drinks he explained a little more.

Whenever he tried a new drink, it would increase his stats. There was a small permanent gain, the first time he had an alcoholic drink, any subsequent attempts would give a temporary stat boost. Hearing that new drinks could be designed, meant he could keep getting stronger.

"Dante, I was kidding earlier, there's no manager yet. If you want, I could let you run this brewery? I could even pay you a salary if you want."

"Zanir, I'd be delighted to help out. I'm sure that there's plenty we can do to help each other out. Your friendship is worth more to me than any gold or jewels."

[Reincarnator Dante has reached sufficient friendship level]

[Initiate party request? Y/N]

"Ah, what's this? Did you just get a system prompt too?"

"Yeah, it's a party request, let me try it."

Clicking the button to accept, they formed a party. With this, their system's recognized each other as allies, they were unable to betray or hurt each other. They could also see each other's quests. Seeing that Dante was one beer type away, he told the server to bring out 'The Reserve'.

Toasting with his parents, everyone was happy to have made a new friend. After a brief celebration, they had the baron and tax collector brought over. It was time to get some answers and find out why they were even targeted in the first place.
