62 Bonus Round: Location Unknown

Three minutes appeared on a timer, which began counting down immediately. With only a few minutes to prepare, Zanir got ready. Making sure to equip some plate armor, he also grabbed his machete. With his axe holstered on the other side, he was ready.

The rest of the group didn't waste any time either, everyone grabbed their respective weapons and armor. Dante, Marcus, and Bruce were nearby, in addition to the guards. Taking the undead into his system, he kept them on standby, just in case they were needed. He wanted to avoid any miscommunication, that could lead to them being attacked on site.

When the timer hit zero, everyone within his absorption range was teleported simultaneously. Luckily, everyone was close enough, so no one got left behind. To Zanir, it felt like he was experiencing a rollercoaster, but the others had never experienced anything like the turbulence.

Disorientation severely affected the entire group, as they were all bouncing around in a strange spatial tunnel. If it were slower, it might have been an enjoyable experience, with a breathtaking view of their journey through space. However, at the velocity they were traveling, the only thing they could see was a few stripes of color, as everything whizzed by.

Upon exiting, the first thing they noticed was the temperature. It was freezing! Landing in a big pile of snow, it was obvious that they had been brought to an arctic climate. Thick snowflakes fell everywhere around them, blanketing the entire landscape as far as the eye could see.

Forming up a defensive line, everyone looked around the nearby area, to make sure they wouldn't immediately come under attack. Not being able to see more than a few feet, Zanir decided to release his ghouls and shade to scout the area.

Not only could they warn him of danger, the ghouls could even eat some snow on the way, adding it to his world. A handy ability, as long as it wasn't used on something delicate. While his undead slowly scouted the nearby area, he helped prepare some warmer clothes for everyone. With the system, it didn't take long.

Glancing at the timer, he saw that he had about twenty-five minutes remaining. Having limited time, everyone moved to the only thing detected, a snow-covered building entrance that his undead found. Detecting life signs, his group joined the scouts at the entrance. Together, they descended into the unknown structure.

Carved out of stone, the entrance had steps leading down into a large chamber. Reaching the room, they saw several groups of people at the other end, struggling to hold off a huge horde of monsters. Judging purely by the design, he guessed that this was probably a world with a dungeon. In the stories he'd read, there was always a monster break, where endless creatures surged out to rampage.

It made sense, considering the system told him that the world would be experiencing an energy overload. All of these monsters could be captured, dead or alive, and added into his system. If he played his cards right, he might even be able to snag the boss and dungeon core.

Sensing his group approaching, the struggling adventurers called out to them. Unfortunately, it was an entirely different world, so the language was nothing more to them than guttural grunts. Using body language, he motioned for them to split apart and make room for his group to advance.

Arriving just in time, they allowed the adventurers to pull back several heavily injured people. As they turned back to address the group and give thanks, their jaws dropped. With multiple factors behind them, Zanir and his party had unknowingly reached a very high level of power. People just weren't ready for the brutality his group inflicted.

Wearing full suits of plated mail, the guards were almost immune to the smaller creatures bites and scratches. Because he wanted to capture the monsters, the guards were engaging the monsters in hand to hand combat. Throwing a strong punch in full armor, was enough to knock out most of the lesser creatures.

Anything larger or more dangerous was taken on by the elites. Bruce was putting out situations that needed immediate attention. The large ogre was able to walk across the battle with impunity. Several of the foreigners would never forget, the sight of a large fist smashing a monster that was about to rip them to shreds.

Dante was moving around with graceful and fluid movements. Just like Bruce, he appeared where needed, saving people who were about to be slaughtered. With so many opponents, he couldn't help but feel his blood boil. He seemed to be getting faster and faster as he killed, eventually becoming a cyclone of death clearing a path into the monsters.

Supporting from long range, Marcus was judiciously casting lightning bolts. With the other two elites handling immediate situations, he was freed up to pick and choose the best targets. Hitting the monsters directly in the head, he fried their brains for a split second. Stunning the monsters by overloading the neurons in their brains, they could instantly be absorbed.

Walking behind his group, Zanir kept an eye on everything around him. Making sure that his axe flew out when needed, he was able to keep his men from getting overwhelmed. Like a madman, he kept absorbing everything he could. Creatures that got knocked out, dead monster corpses, he even absorbed some of the ground under the larger creatures.

Taking away their footing was a dirty tactic, but it was unexpected, quick, and most importantly, effective! Falling over, in the middle of the battle, would inevitably cost them their lives. Either the guards would beat them unconscious, or the foreign adventurers would utilize the opening to finish them off.

Cheering, they witnessed Zanir and his warriors not only turn the situation around but actually start to push the monsters back. Glancing at the timer, he saw that he only had about ten minutes left, so he ordered his men to pick up the pace.

Unsure of how many floors there were, he wanted to at least try to reach the end. There was a reason the system brought him here. He could feel something from the floor below, someone or something was creating this flood of monsters.
