Chapter 58

It took another five or so minutes before you reached the area the deal was going down in. You could hear it, if nothing else.

The minute you passed into the massive room it was taking part in, a loud, rage filled roar split the air. "LET ME OUT!" something massive bellowed, followed by an almighty crash that shook the floor beneath you even with how far away you were.

Following the roars of rage, you activated your stealth skill and quickly made your way to where the deal was happening.

As expected, you found the digimon that was stolen. Housed in a massive laser barred cage, it roared angrily, bashing its face against the force field keeping it back over and over, stabbing its bladed horn into it with all its might.

A Mega Seadramon.

The one conducting the deal stood in front of the cage, facing a group of familiarly dressed girls. The Nakano Stripes hacker team. There were four of them all in, two flanked by a pair of champion digimon, another flanked by three champion's, and Rena, the leader standing at the front facing the thief who stole Mega Seadramon, flanked by three ultimate digimon, a Wingdramon, Dinobeemon and a towering Dragomon.

Quite the line up you had to admit. A familiar one too.

The thief though didn't seem perturbed at all at facing down so many digimon. Which you kind of got, since he had a golden plated Etemon standing by his side. You lifted up your digivice and scanned it for data, "KingEtemon, a virus type mega level digimon clad in golden chrome digizoid, its signature attack is Monkey Wrench." you read off the holographic screen that popped up.

You eyed it for a moment before smirking. Nothing you couldn't handle.

Still, your eyes drifted to Rena, the leader of the Nakano Stripes. You remembered your time working for the group a year ago, updating their personal server with the best security and defences you could think of. The money was good the incentive even better.

You had some good times with Rena. Mostly spent in the bed room, and you could still hear her gasping and squealing your name beneath you. She could be such a loving girlfriend when she tried, though extremely paranoid at any girl who paid you any attention, which led to your relationship with her fracturing apart.

That was one thing you definitely preferred about Ruki. She wasn't the type to think that you'd cheat on her just because some girl made a pass at you, she was just too confident in herself to see why you would want to sleep with any random girl when you could fuck her.

"Ah, this is gonna suck." you mused with a small bitter chuckle. Dealing with jealous clingy Ex's could do that to you.

Despite the fact that you parted ways with Rena on slightly bad terms, you didn't really want to murder her digimon. You actually knew them back when they were rookies, played with them even. More than that actually. You were greatly fond of those three and they were part of the reason you decided to accept becoming a tamer in the first place.

So, the best course of action here is to just take the thief out of the game entirely.

You lifted up your digivice, "Reload! Black Metal Greymon X! Black Were Garurumon X! Flamedramon!" you made sure to keep your voice low so you weren't picked up on at all.

Flamedramon and Were Garurumon appeared at your side, while Metal Greymon materialized standing tall behind you. It was good he was so nimble for his size, otherwise just appearing would have given you all away despite your stealth skill.

Well, maybe not, Mega Seadramon was still causing quite the ruckus.

You clicked your fingers, drawing your trio of digimon's attention before they could say anything and pointed towards the KingEtemon, "Drag it over with your Trident Arm Metal Greymon, then all of you attack it once it's away from the people there."

"Gotcha boss!" Black Metal Greymon X nodded and greed easily. He wound up his golden metal clad arm and thrust it out. "Trident Arm!" he bellowed, and the clawed arm shot off like a rocket.

"Uh-hu-hu!?" The KingEtemon screamed in pain when one of the thick claws gouged into its stomach and then yanked it right up into the air.

The thief fell onto his backside, and the girls in front of him, digimon and all screamed in shock.

"You ready?" you asked your two other digimon.

"Yuppers boss!" Were Garurumon chirped, arms crossed in front of him and glowing red.

"I am ready and able my lord!" Flamedramon saluted you.

You smirked, "Follow my lead then boys!" you ordered and thrust both of your arms out, golden gauntlets glowing a deep crimson at the palms, "Nuclear Laser!" you bellowed, firing large twin red beams of power that merged into one much larger version, shooting up towards the golden clad Etemon being pulled through the air.

And follow your lead they did.

"Shadow Wolf Claw!" Black Were Gaururmon X roared, lashing out with both of his arms, firing twin trios of pulsing red claw slashes through the air.

"Fire Rocket!" Flamedramon declared, punching his fists out in a rapid beat too fast for even your enhanced eyes to follow clearly, launching massive fireball after massive fireball with each rapid punch.

The ensuing explosion when all three attacks smashed into the golden monkey digimon was gargantuan, blotting out the sky for dozens upon dozens of metres, and the force behind it was enough to fling the thief, and all of the girls, alongside most of their digimon off of their feet.

Heck, you almost went flying. Would have if it weren't for your enhanced body.

And even then, it wasn't enough.

KingEtemon smashed into the ground a few dozen feet away from you hard enough to crater it. But it wobbled back up to its feet a few moments later on shaky legs, a massive gouge in its stomach that was bleeding profusely, burned all over, armour dented to hell and back.

The visor over its eyes lit up a burning crimson red just like your laser attack due to its rage.

"Giga Destroyer!"

Just in time for two massive fish shaped missiles easily bigger than the digimon was tall to impact its form and shake the area with another massive explosion that was so close you could practically feel your skin burning. This time you were blown off your feet, as were Flamedramon and Black Were Garurumon X.

Thankfully, you were all blown backwards, and stopped, landing in a pile of groaning limbs against one of Black Metal Greymon X's massive feet.

There was a scream of beastial rage, and through the massive pillar of fire and smoke that was left over from Metal Greymon's attack, KingEtemon burst out, shooting through the air like a rocket towards you and your digimon, body practically charred black from burns, and clenched fists full of a pair of dark spheres crackling with green lightning.

"Dark Network!" It screeched, throwing its charred arms forward and letting loose its two attacks, that immediately upon being thrown grew in size, swelling up until they were easily twice as large as you were tall and zooming towards you.

This thing is insanely durable!

Pulling yourself out of the pile you and your two digimon found yourselves in, you thrust your hand out at the approaching spheres of darkness and lightning, "Inferno Gate!" you shouted, using one of your newest abilities, that you had gotten from Cerberumon's data.

A dark void opened up in front of the two attacks and devoured them whole. You clenched your hand and dissipated the void, while thrusting out with your other hand, opening up a similar void behind KingEtemon, and ejecting both of its attacks at it from behind.

KingEtemon was quick on the draw, jumping up just in time to avoid its own attacks that hit the ground and detonated with another pair of explosions that tore the area apart, and from what you could see in the distance, threw the girls off their feet again.

Still, you weren't trying to take it out with its own attack anyway. While it was distracted, you pulled two of your modify cards out and swiped them one after the other in the blink of an eye thanks to your enhanced speed, "Black Metal Greymon X! Digi-Modify! Virus Killer Activate! Power Activate!" you shouted.

Black Metal Greymon X roared loudly as the power of the modify cards were infused into his being, "Let's finish it off!" you ordered your digimon.

"Right!" Were Garurumon barked, jumping up into the air to meet the badly burned mega level digimon, "Shadow Wolf Claw!" he howled, slashing his clawed hands through the air and sending the five slashing claw attacks at the monkey digimon.

"Explosive Kick!" KingEtemon screeched, throwing out a powerful kick that generated an explosion at its apex, meeting Garurumon's attack head on, and blowing right through it and shooting the black lupine digimon backwards through the air.

KingEtemon seemed to have some kind of sixth sense as it turned while mid air, another dark ball of lightning filling one of its palms as Flamedramon jumped up behind it, fire exploding into existence around his clawed hands.

"Dark Network!" KingEtemon loosed its attack first.

"Fire Rocket!" Flamedramon was forced to rapid fire his punches early and detonate his fire ball attacks against the rapidly expanding lightning attack to keep it at bay and push himself back to get out of the attack radius.

But that was fine. Really, KingEtemon was ridiculously durable and had insane combat reflexes and IQ, but it focused too much on your digimon and wrote you off too easily.

KingEtemon yelped in surprise and pain when from below, the chains of Paildramon launched out from the tops of your gauntlets and pierced into its legs, and then you pulled.

The golden clad burnt monkey slammed into the ground hard, and you turned to Black Metal Greymon X who was just waiting for his chance to attack, "Now!" you commanded.

"Mega Burst!" Metal Greymon roared, unleashing a gigantic beam of white hot plasma that washed over KingEtemon's form in the blink of an eye.

To your utter surprise. KingEtemon actually held out against the attack for a few moments. Thrusting its hands out to catch the attack and held against it for a few ticks, before the sheer size of the wave of plasma washed over it, and with a monkeyish howl of rage, the once king of the jungle burst into a massive rain storm of golden flakes of data.

"Damn," you sighed, wiping your brow. "That thing just refused to go down."
