51 Chapter 51

"I'm just saying, it doesn't fit your image." Ruki commented as you walked down the street with her after school.

"How does it not fit my image?" you raise an eyebrow in question.

Your girlfriend sent a deadpan look at your shoulder were your newest digimon was hitching a ride, "You're a well known delinquent with gang ties, and you have ball of fluff riding on your shoulder."

"So?" your other eyebrow joined the first as you replied, "He might be cute and small, but he's also a little dragon."

"Fine, a dragon," she huffed rolling her eyes, "What about the cat you used to have on your shoulder? Surely a cute little cat wouldn't fit your image."

"She punch people with lightning when she was a cat." you pointed out.

Ruki sighed in frustration. "Always got an answer to justify you being a literal cute animal otaku."

"I can't be an otaku, I'm a delinquent and former gangster." you countered.

"Fuck you!" Ruki snapped at the round about logic and you had to fight off a smile. "Seriously Hayato? Just admit you aren't as cool as you like to pretend you are. I've been living with you and sleeping in the same bed as you for the last week, trust me, you hardly measure up to the image of the super aggressive gangster delinquent everyone thinks you are."

When she raised her hand and poked you in the chest for emphasis, you grinned and grabbed it, using it to pull her up flush against your chest and wrap your arms around her lovely full waist, "See I've managed to get you as my girlfriend, so obviously I'm as cool can possibly be." you whispered down at her huskily.

Her face flushed red, "You can be so cringy sometimes," Ruki replied, but she didn't pull away, much more used to your affection now, heck these days she even initiated a lot of the time. Her favourite chair after all, was your lap.

It made it quite hard to get work done sometimes.

Ruki leaned up on her tip toes, about to press a kiss to your lips, when of course, a field of mist spiralled up out of the ground, and a large beam of blue light followed it a moment later.

She rolled her eyes again, but uncaring of the distraction, she continued anyway and pressed a quick brief kiss to your lips before pulling back and glaring at the light, "Right, now I'm annoyed," Ruki scowled, "I think I'll have Dark Tyrannomon stand on whatever idiot pops out for interrupting us."

You grinned, your girlfriend was so feisty.

You both waited a moment for the light to clear and the emerging digimon to appear, and when it did you blinked before grinning.

And Ruki sighed, putting the digivice she had just pulled out back down, "Oh its an armour fool, you'll be wanting him I guess." she waved her hand and dismissed the massive blue t-rex that just appeared as if it wasn't anything important.

And it wasn't. Man, what has your life become these days?

With just a thought, your twin golden gauntlets appeared on your arms and began to glow with crimson red power.

"Nuclear Laser!"

The Allomon fully realized and declared its arrival to the world with a roar. Only for that roar to be cut off a second later as twin massive beams of red energy formed into one much larger beam and vaporised its head, the rest of its body following suit a second later and turning into blue data.

"You're an absurd person you know that?" Ruki pointed out with a smirk.

"All the better to waifu you with babe." you countered with a chuckle.

"Just hurry up and scan its data dork before the mist goes away completely."

True to her word, without Allomon the data field was already beginning to disperse. Well then, better be quick. You pulled out your digivice and scanned half the data, to your surprise you got two of Allomon's attacks, alongside a Hopmon egg and a Digimental of Courage.

Depthmon would be happy to become a Flamedramon again, he missed being a dragon.

You patted the quiet little fluff ball on your shoulder who was just enjoying the closeness with you while riding your shoulder, "Alright little guy, you get the rest." you ordered, pointing at the half cloud of blue data left over.

"Okay boss!" Dorimon chirped from your shoulder and began drawing the blue data into himself.

While he was doing that, you may as well get Depthmon done so he can go back to being a happy little dragon.

"Reload, Depthmon!"

Depthmon appeared before you, and though you couldn't see his face; "Glorious day! With the Digimental of Courage I will no longer have to rue the day I lost my legs!" the scuba geared merman digimon and former knightly dragon declared happily, excitement in his voice.

Well, how could you possibly make him wait any longer? You raised your digivice and funnelled the data of the Digimental of Courage into your digimon.

He exploded into light.

"Depthmon Armour Digivolve To...!"

He shrunk, and you saw as his long tail shortened and then split into two, and the light of a merman morphed into something much more bipedal.

And when the light receded, a blue dragon with flaming armour stood in its place.

"Flamedramon! The Fire of Courage!"

...did he really have to copy the line of the anime Flamedramon though?

You honestly couldn't just let Flamedramon stay out so both you and he could gush over your flame, you literally returned him to the digivice with about fifteen seconds to spare before the mist fully disappeared.

And just as it did, two people rounded the corner at a sprint, with a red dino on their heels and a massively eared bunny rabbit on ones shoulder.

Oh, it was Tamashi and some other blue haired dude.

"Oh great," Ruki groaned in annoyance, crossing her arms, "It's these two morons."

The minute they saw Ruki, their eyes widened, and Tamashi outright backed up, "Oh crap, it's Ruki and her boyfriend!" he panicked, turning towards blue haired guy with wide eyes full of fright, "He's the guy I was telling you about Henry."

Blue haired guy, now known to you as Henry pursed his lips, looking at you and Ruki with almost something like disdain in his eyes, "By the looks of it, they've already destroyed the digimon coming through." he commented.

"Yeah, got a problem with it dweeb?" Ruki glared at him with a sniff of derision.

"I've told you before haven't I?" Henry glared back at your girlfriend, and you had half a mind to go over there and smack him one, "Digimon aren't just for fighting, they come here to get away from the fighting."

Woah, hold the phone.

You snorted, "And what magic fairy dust have you been snorting?" you cut in, "Because let me tell ya' buddy, bar the one digimon, every single one of them I've ran into here have been all violence, wanting to fight, kill and load data."

""He~s got a pooo~int." the Terriermon on Henry's shoulder singsonged.

"Terriermon..." Henry trailed off, glaring slightly at his digimon now who giggled and mimed zipping his lips.

Henry sighed before going back to glaring at you and your girlfriend, "Look, you should just give them a chance to live here instead of just killing them."

You rolled your eyes and shook your head. This guys a wacko. "Whatever General Goodie Goodie," you dismissed him with a wave of your hand, "Next time I see a Metal Tyrannomon going on a rampage and about to kill thousands of people, I'll just let it happen because it obviously deserves its chance to live."

"Let's go babe," Ruki grabbed your hand and began pulling you away, but not before sending one last glare at the two, "I don't want them getting any of their weak wimpy dweeb smell on you.

"Hey!" Tamashi whined.

"Bye!" Guilmon waved happily to you as you passed him by, and you couldn't resist giving him a wave back.

Such a cute dinosaur!

"Later Guilmon," you bid him goodbye and gave his girly tamed tamer a node, "You too Tamashi."

"...Did he just call me Tamashi?" Takato wondered aloud, face drawing up in affront.
